"The workers at this facility really do care about their residents. The care they provide is very heartfelt and genuine. From the nursing staff, cna's, activity workers, social service , dietary staff, therapy department, housekeepers, department heads and the receptionists. They work hard and treat everyone like family."

"I loved my stay there. I had to go for rehab for 2 weeks and it really made a huge difference. Everyone that worked there was so nice and went out of there way to help me. They prepare the food like your in a real fine dining restaurant, but better!! Even the lady that cleaned my room was very friendly. "

"I visited and noted that the facility seemed understaffed and I found it difficult to get assistance and help. One young lady was particularly rude. Perhaps they were understaffed but she seemed stressed out and angry. Not a good place for her to work."

"I went to Ascension Living Villa Franciscan Place to visit a friend. It was very good and they had a very caring staff. It's a clean facility. No odors or anything. There's an ice cream parlor and it's right next to a hospital, which was convenient. The food looked very well prepared. My friend's room was very nice, bright, clean, and a nice size. So, they were getting their money's worth."

"I have been in The Parc at Joliet for two and a half months now. The community is OK. Everybody speaks to each other, there are activities and you get to go outside. I'm here for rehab. The food's OK. The staff, the nurses, CNAs, you know, they're very good. The activities people are very good. I have very little good to say about the office, the administrator, he's something else. They set up a meeting with me and the people from the office about keeping my thirty dollars. Other than that, I have nothing bad to say about the place. Everything's good, but they seem to have a problem with keeping help. They keep everything clean and tidy. They could use maintenance on the tables and chairs. The chairs and tables are falling apart or they're missing parts. But as far as keeping everything clean and tidy, the cleaning people also do a good job of that. They got a director for activities, and I believe four girls, three or four girls, that go around. Everyday there's a different activity for the residents that would like to participate. They have bingo, card games, we go out for a walk, listen to music, and karaoke."

"My husband has been in River Crossing of Joliet. He is living there mostly for dementia. They take care of them. They notify me all the time with any problems. The staff is very friendly. He has a great roommate. They treat him nice. I would recommend the home. His room is almost like a hospital setting. They have some private rooms, but he's in a shared room. They have certain days they pick out to have carnival days, fun days, and they always have activities going on. They played bingo. He's busy there, and he doesn't just sit in all day. The staff is terrific. The food is great. It is good that they are in the process of remodeling with new flooring, wallpaper on walls, and paint, so they're slowly upgrading."

"An older nursing home but kept clean and bright. The care you receive here is awesome!! Hands and heads above ALL the rest of the nursing homes in Illinois!! My mother and my grandmother and a dear friend all stayed here,one very long term(years) and they all were thrilled with the care they received!! Two of them were hard to please people and they had not one complaint with OLA. They have a small bus for places,they have a big chapel where they have church/mass and just caring and responsible employees!! Very well run and no one ran out of anything because they are not foreign owned and the owners care for their employees and residents.If I or anyone I know needs a NH...I would totally recommend OLA!!!"

"The staff is very friendly and the facility is clean. I had a bad experience with my wife's grandma and her facility smelled and was dirty. I did not want that same thing to happen to my grandma so we did our research on our family came to an agreement after we weighed the positives and negatives of each facility. There were some family members that did not like the facility we chose and at times the discussion became heated. We were all emotional at time and we had a tough time picking one place. We all what was best for our grandma. The facility we chose has twenty four hour nursing care and that was one of the big selling points. The facility has been in operation for over 30 years and the reviews we found online were mostly positive. We have no regrets about our choice. All of us wish grandma could have stayed at home however she can no longer live without assistance. "

"Hillside didn't want to take my husband because he was agitated. However, he did stay there for one day. It was short-term. I didn't like it though. My husband wasn't happy either. He wanted to go outside and look for me. When I came back to pick him up, I saw the room was dirty. They need to make the place cleaner. "

"Lakewood Nursing and Rehab are very helpful in getting my father in law situated. The physical therapy and the nurses have been fantastic, and the staff is all good. "

"I just got out Monday 08/04/14. I am only 47 years old and injured in an accident. I was on the physical therapy floor 2nd floor. I feel the staff is very caring and tried to help people when needed. I recieved physical therapy everyday Monday through Friday. The physical therapist are good at what they do and are patient with you. Just a few complaints though. THe furnishings are very dated. I feel the food could be better quality with better choices. I have food allergies and Hector was very accommadating to my needs. I was able to bring my own food. They have a small eating area with a stove the residents can use. Also, by the physical therapy rooms, there is a room with a washer and dryer the residence can use. "

"Selecting a nursing and rehabilitation home for my mother-in-law was stressful, but once we found the Tillers home things moved forward with ease and comfort. From the process of finding her a bed to her last day, the administrative staff communicated with us weekly regarding her insurance coverage and charges. The facilities were immaculately clean and the rehabilitation area was outstanding. The nursing staff were literally the best I've ever seen. They were kind, responded quickly and always available - the Tillers had a low patient-nurse ratio (3 patients to one nurse). The physical therapists got my mother-in-law back on her feet and functioning on her own within three months. The staff even made the effort to make sure my mother-in-law had roommates with similar rehabilitation issues and close to her age. My mom was a geriatrics nurse for my entire childhood and I grew up visiting her as Director of Nursing at other facilities. I can say that the Tillers is the most remarkable home and the only one I've ever seen that really seemed to comprehensively care about the patient's well-being. They also have a really cute bird sanctuary cabinet in the dining room... "

"My mom was at Spring Creek for some rehab. They treated her well. She was there for about 3 months. I never really got past the conference room because it's COVID times. I couldn't do anything but meet with her there. From there, it looked very clean. The caregivers were very caring. She got to know some of them and was treated well. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. They provided basic care, I guess, but I don't know everything they did. They took care of her and every time there was anything that needed to be discussed, I was able to reach somebody. I've spoken with a nurse there several times. I just can't remember his name, but he was very nice. We were able to do a window visit a few times and that was helpful. For me, the location was convenient because it's on the east side of Joliet. It's also probably a convenient location for that facility to be at and it's good for me because I live in town."
