"Willowwood is the one I want my mother to go to. That place is strange because it was older. I wouldn't say it is dirty, but it is older and almost like a rundown trailer park. Once I got inside, they had birds in this humongous bird cage. Nobody was in their rooms, and everybody was out like they were having races with the wheelchairs. It looked great because they were not just drugged and left in bed. I talked to a couple of people there, and they seemed extremely happy with that place. They did show me one room. They had just painted it, and it just became available. It was semi-private and was a decent size. I think all the rooms must look like that with two beds, two night stands, and two dressers. I didn't try the food, but the way they do it is like a buffet. They can go into the cafeteria and actually pick what they want which I like. The tables all have flowers and tablecloths on them. They can go and be able to socialize which is a lot better. I don't know how the food was, but the way they presented it, it seems great. They had a fish tank and a lot of them were sitting and watching the fish. It just seems very light and real airy. From what I saw, I would recommend it. "

"David and his staff are outstanding. Over the last 20 years I have experienced tremendous results with neck, back and foot 🦶 issues. After therapy I am back to my old self. I learn so much about how to maintain good health and strength from David. I can’t begin to tell you how hopeful he makes you feel even in the midst of very difficult pain and mobility He is alway fun to be around and makes the time in pt go by quickly. I can’t say enough about how much I appreciate him and his entire staff "

"Windsor House just opened in October 2015 so it’s a very new facility. It is beautiful. Everything was nice, and clean. The layout of the facilityis very nice. It is in a very great location. I was given a tour by the owner’s son who was very nice, and very knowledgeable. I met the administrator who has 17 years of experience; so, she is very knowledgeable in this field. Everybody I met was nice, and they seem to be enjoying their work. "

"I toured The Bridge At Lawrenceville. It was clean. It was conveniently located near family. Everyone was very friendly. They had a courtyard and a dining area. We've looked at a deluxe one-bedroom. The dining area was a nice restaurant-style. My only issue was that it was not as modern as I wanted it to be. However, it was good, and it was a good experience. I would recommend it to anyone who could afford it."

"We decided to check Delmar Gardens of Gwinnett. The staff was nice. The facility's entrance was nice. They had a sofa which was worn out and needed to be replaced. The carpet and curtains looked old. The facilities weren't too bad, and the lady was helpful, but it was very expensive. The staff showed us a private and semi-private room. The private room looked old. Everything was dark, and the carpet was dark. The semi-private was very congested. There are two beds with a curtain to divide them. It was okay, but for the price they were asking, it was so expensive. The dining area was okay. The people sitting in the reception area were very receptive and pleasant. But when we found the lady who led us to the admission director was not very kind and courteous. But as the time went on, she got comfortable with everything. It's not bad but it's not upscale either."

"My Dad was recently in Rehab at Cherokee Center for about a week and a half. First impression was the building was really old. That being said the staff really made up for any short comings of the building. When I first arrived, I was greeted by Kersten. She was so kind and welcoming. She directed me to my Dad's room. The room was very neat and tidy and most importantly He was happy with his accommodations. Nurse Ellen was really the best part of his stay there for me. She was incredibly responsive. On multiple occasions she took care of a request and followed through. She even found someone to help with my Dad's cell phone when it wasn't working properly. Dad and I agreed we would rather be in faciality with a great staff and an old building than a beautiful building with a very non caring staff. Everyone we came in contact with was so kind and sincere. Some great people work there now let's work a little on the inside of the building. The staff deserves it!"

"They treat my mother like an inmate. There are so many rules, that I think they have finally broken her spirt. I have tried for a week solid to reach my mother and no one answers the phone. When I call to talk to rather social worker she is NEVER AVAILABLE. I have left my name and number and she won't call me back. This place doesn't deserve even 1 star, bot there isn't an option for zero. DON't put a loved one there. "

"Lanier Village Estates is a very fine facility. It's not for profit. It has pretty much everything we would need. It's on the expensive side, but not prohibitively expensive. They have a range of facilities available there. They offer various levels of service, which would be independent living, assisted living, and professional nursing care. They have a very nice pool and excellent grounds. There's a walking path that goes down to a cove of Lake Lanier. They have good marketing people, very conscientious, and helpful."

"Canton Nursing Center has good ratings and good reviews, so we chose that for my dad. So far, so good. They've all been very helpful and very attentive. They take good care of my father. They keep me informed of what's going on, and I can come in and visit with him. It's worked out all the way around. My dad seems happy there, and they keep him active. We had issues with the weekend staff at the beginning, but we talked to the weekday staff; they took care of it, which was great. They kind of dropped the ball a little bit in terms of their administrative duties. I don't know if they're just short on staff in that area. I've had to initiate everything as opposed to them telling me what they need. So administratively they're a little lacking, but with the care for my father I have had no problems with (other than the one which was addressed immediately). Everyone we've worked with so far has been great. It's a nursing home, so it smells like a nursing home. They seem to take pride in their facility. They keep it clean, and the residents are clean."

"My mother, Sara Padgett is a resident of this facility and has been since 2006. She was diagnosed with pneumonia on Thursday 12 26 2019. I am pleased the facility maintained her without sending out to hospital. This nursing home took excellent care of my mother. With their help my mother's temp has gone down and she is responding to the antibiotics. The nurses are so pleasant and were so kind to my mother and me. I am so glad the facility did what was needed and my mother is improving. I thank all that were involved in my mother's care. I thank you so much. Robert Padgett "

"This was my first time entering this facility. When I entered the facility I was instantly taken back by the smell. Im not sure why it smelled so sour but it was not pleasant. A lot of the workers seemed like they didn't want to be there. I was happy with the rooms at this facility. My Grandmother had a private room so that maybe why I was pleased. After visiting for a while we attended dinner in the dining room, the food was good and had great service. If they took some steps to get rid of the sour smell i would have been much happier with my visit at this facility. My Grandmother only stayed at this facility for a short time so I didn't get a chance to go back a second time. I dont think that I would choose this facility if I ever had to consider nursing homes as an option. "

"My husband is in Woodstock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. They give him excellent care. He is in the Alzheimer's unit. They are well staffed there. They call me with the least little things that happen to him, and they keep me well informed about what's going on. It is a small facility right at downtown Woodstock. They don't have have a lot of ground area, but my husband is behind locked doors because of the Alzheimer's. They don't want him to wander, so they keep a close tab on him. In the nursing home portion, they do have a nice courtyard where the people can go and get outside or sit outside. My husband used to do that when he was not there for Alzheimer's. I think their price is reasonable at most, and his Medicare/Medicaid helps cover the bulk of the cost. I think given the care he gets, I don't know if I would find any comparable care for less money anywhere. The peace of mind that I have knowing that he is well cared for is worth it. It's definitely highly recommended. "
