I like the fact that The Davis Community is a little bit lower in price than the other places we looked at. They have a really beautiful facility, and my dad is happy there. I had a meal there, and it was very good. They served salad like romaine lettuce with tomatoes and carrots and a lot of vegetables in it, and they served chicken meatloaf, and that was very good. They have a lot of crafting-type activities. They have bingo a lot. They have entertainment come in. My dad was telling me all about a man who came in and played the guitar and sang and stuff and how enjoyable it was. When we went there at the very beginning we were looking, it was near Christmas time, and they were having Christmas parties and stuff and it was very nice. The staff members there are wonderful.

Our tour of The Davis Community was good. They showed me the facilities and the facilities are clean and high quality. They were very friendly and informative. The rooms were good. They were a good size and looked like they felt comfortable. The living atmosphere was very good. The residents are very well taken care of.

The environment at The Davis community was very pleasant and open. It felt very much like a country club. Their services were quite complete in terms of having physicians on staff, nursing on staff, and a care center onsite. It was a brief tour, but we got a nice information packet, and that's what we were looking for at that point. Their website could be updated though, because we actually went online and booked a tour for that day. So, my husband and I stopped by and toured it. However, after we left, we got a call trying to schedule a tour.

Great facility, very cordial and helpful staff members. Very caring and knowledgable director of nursing Leslie. Great idea for clinical nurses who are there to take care of the residents medical needs. A wonderful facility

They seemed nice enough at Davis, and the facilities were as nice. My husband had been there once before when he had a surgery, and he was very unhappy. That was one reason I was wary of putting him back in there again, but it was not necessarily their fault. It is in a very nice location. The rooms seemed nice, and the people certainly seemed nice enough.

My aunt is currently a resident at Champions Assisted Living in Wilmington, North Carolina. She has lived here for about a year, and we are extremely happy with this home. She is 90 years old with no significant health problems, but we did not feel comfortable with her living by herself anymore. She loves it here, even though she was reluctant at first. It has been great for her in a social sense, and I know she feels good about being able to take care of herself. In many ways, it is just like an apartment. She does take blood pressure and cholesterol medications, and the nurses ensure she receives the proper dosage daily. One of our favorite things about this facility is the amenities. The grounds are kept up nicely, and the property has a restaurant, a garden and walking trails. My aunt loves the on-site church services; it is one of the highlights of her week. She has cable in her room, and the facility's restaurant makes great meals! My aunt has no children, so we have always tried to take care of her. Perhaps we did not take her places as often as we should have, but we try to visit her a few times a week now. The staff is always friendly and they take good care of her. She is happy there, and we love visiting. I do not know about the level of care for patients with serious health problems, but the assisted living facility at Champions is top-notch.
