"My mom is a resident of Brightmore of Wilmington. She loves it. My parents have been here for 12 years. My dad died five years ago but my mom has stayed here. She moved into a different, smaller apartment. She has loved her time here. The people have just been wonderful to her. I recommend this place to anybody. I haven't tried their food, but my mom says it's good. She lives in a one-bedroom apartment. It's very nice. They have lots going on here. She's been unable to do them of late because of her status. I know she's in a book club. They also have exercise classes, and a physical therapist here does yoga classes and stuff."

"My father-in-law is in Carolina Bay at Autumn Hall. It's new, it's a happy place, and it's clean. They are also very efficient, professional, and very careful. They have a lot of rules and regulations because of COVID, so we couldn't ask for a better place for him to be staying. It's extremely nice. The only reason we are looking at this other place is because we live nearby, and we wanted him to move closer to us. Because of COVID, there were a lot of things that were closed. For example, when they have any staff or aides coming in, they shut down the dining facilities for them. There is not much socializing because of COVID, which is no fault of theirs, that's just them being careful. When they do shut down the dining room, he orders from the comfort of his own room. I would say the food is fine. For the value, I think he pays about $4700, so if you're able to afford it, then it's a really nice place to live. I think he's getting a good value for what he pays."

"Content: My husband and I moved here 3 years ago. We were first drawn to the gorgeous landscaping (ponds, trees, flowering bushes,) 3 miles of walking opportunities, diverse housing options (which makes it look like a village, not a campus). The staff are caring, friendly, helpful and just nice, likable people who want to serve and help us in any way they can. We have met so many interesting, friendly, and helpful people who are now our friends and neighbors. No one should be bored here - there are activities that challenge mind and body, including exercise classes at 8 a.m.! Followed by aqua exercises! We love not having to shop much for food, fix the food, clean up after the food! The continental breakfast and one delicious meal provided each day more than satisfies our taste buds, supplemented by a small plate of something from the refrigerator. I will admit that it was challenging to downsize from a very large home to 1450 sq. ft + wonderful, pretty private patio."
