My dad moved in here. It was just the best fit for my dad. It has more of a home feel than a nursing home feel. They had a lot of really great activities for the residents, a lot of really great outings, and regular transportation for the residents. They had a great outdoor area and pretty much a balcony or a patio with a lot of the unit. All of the apartments are private. There are no shared rooms. I have heard from multiple residents that the food is very, very good. They were doing Chocolate Day. They brought in a chocolate mousse cake and did some other stuff. They have a movie night coming up and an outing to the mountains with a picnic. Once the weather warms up a little bit more, they take them three days a week out to run errands wherever they want to go. Two days a week, they go out and take them to doctor's appointments wherever they need to go. The rooms are primarily studio apartments with accessible showers and a small kitchenette. There is enough space for my dad to have a full-sized bed with a dresser and a chair to sit in. They have restaurant-style dining, so they get seated, and then they get to order from the menu.

We toured Solista Hickory by Cogir. We were very impressed. It's just a very beautiful place. They were in the process of finishing remodeling. The staff was very knowledgeable and very nice and gave us all the information we needed. The dining area was very nice and looked like a restaurant, and from what she told us about the food, it sounded good. I know they had all sorts of activities, and while we were there, they had a pastor who was preaching, and it was up to the residents if they wanted to attend. I think they had some classes and things and entertainment.

I went here and it was nice. They were very friendly. They were very involved with the clients. As we walked through, the staff was greeting everybody by their first name and carried on a short conversation, just checking on them. They were also coming out of lunchtime, so the food smelled good. I didn't taste it, but it smelled very good, and it was clean, too. Overall, I was pleased with the information that I received and the tour.

It was very nice, and I liked it. It was not new, but it was very clean. It had every amenity to make you feel you are living a good lifestyle. The whole place was beautiful. Warren gave me the tour, and he was very thorough. He showed me a one-bedroom apartment that was furnished and a one-bedroom that was vacant. It had a small kitchenette with a refrigerator and a kitchen sink. It also had a balcony, which I loved. Their menu was great. They serve the meals for an extended period of time to accommodate everybody. The parking was great. They had walking areas and pet areas, which I was impressed with because I have a little dog. I could definitely see myself living there.

My mom's room here is great. The staff they have is very nice and friendly, and the place is clean. She's been staying there for a long time now and she's happy and gets the services she needs. There are changes given the work situation now, but she's happy there. The only thing she ever complained about is the food. Their dining area is very large. Then they have exercises, card games, bingo, and they always have some form of entertainment that they can go and watch, like sing-alongs or someone coming in to speak. They have a calendar out where you can keep track of what's coming up, which I think is handy for everybody. They always have Halloween parties, dress-like-your-favorite-team type of day or something like that, and a bus that takes them shopping or to a specific place or go in for a tour. Over the years, she's got hundreds of different activities. So, it helps the people that don't drive or have a car to be out and about. The layout is open and it's attractive. It's got beautiful artwork in the hallways and beautiful grounds. The pavilions were pretty and user-friendly. She just doesn't have a pool to pick from, because that would have been my favorite thing. They have no indoor or outdoor pool. So, that would be my only downfall, but they're always doing stuff. There's no reason for a person to be bored unless you don't want to do anything.

I visited and I looked at the apartment. They had one available, but when I talked to my daughter about it, she said no. She didn't want me to move that far away. The apartment that was available was on the first floor. It had a private outside door. That place was very nice. I would recommend it for anybody that can afford it. It's an independent living, but they have a CNA on-call, they have someone to clean your apartment, which is included, and then they have a doctor that's on call. It's a very nice place. They have beautiful grounds. It's got lots of trees. It's just a gorgeous place. I fell in love with it. The people were really nice. The workers in the main lobby were very nice. I would recommend it for anybody that has the income to take it. They have a really nice workout room for you, and they have an activity director. They have everything that you would need. The staffers were very sweet and very nice. I only met three staff members; they were very nice. There were some people who had requested a snack. So they had chairs outside of each door, and there was a little snack sitting on the chair. I didn't get to sample the food, but the staff said I could come back if I wanted to. The structure was excellent. It's the best one I have seen. It's a three-story building. They have three different buildings, but they're all attached.

Very informative. Apartments are large and set up nicely. The staff was polite, friendly and we saw happy faces (residents). Nice features, open atrium, library, 3 meals daily, housekeeping. We looked at 1-bedroom and studio apartments for mom as we are planning for future.

It was beautiful and clean. I saw two apartments; both were beautifully arranged and very convenient. I thought it was great. I like it very much. The dining area was beautiful, clean, and set up nicely. It would be an enjoyable place to have lunch. They had a group in there singing songs. It was very interesting. The gentleman who did the tour was very knowledgeable, very friendly and very pleasant. Everyone there was very pleasant.

It took me a long time to find a community for my father in law. We found here last March and he absolutely loved it. The people are fantastic. They got three gourmet meals a day and it's like a cruise ship only you're not cruising anywhere. His room is a studio but there's plenty of room for all of his stuff. It's got a little kitchen, a bathroom and a back deck that's gorgeous.
