I stayed at Willow Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and they did a fairly good job of taking care of me, but I would not recommend them. What I liked best was the care and interest of the PT and OT staff. What I least liked about it was the cleanliness of the building and the food. The food wasn't very good at all. Some members of the staff were very caring, very knowledgeable, and wanted to do their job. Others were not as dedicated to doing their job. Volunteers came in for music and then there were bingo games. There was one group that did Bible study once a week, and I think there were card games one time, but they were difficult to locate. They changed the time and the places around, even though they were on a big nice calendar, that it was all preplanned and it was nice, they weren't always in the place or at the time they were going to be.

My mother is in Willow Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Our experience is not good. She's in a room with another lady, and there's nowhere to put her clothes. The room doesn't even look clean. It looks junky, strewn, and not good. There's nobody that came in her room. There was nobody at the desk on my way out. Some of the food looked OK, but some of it I wouldn't eat. That place is huge and there's not enough staff to facilitate a good, healthy atmosphere, nor provide patient care that they require. They try, there's just not enough of them.

At Britthaven of Goldsboro, they were very helpful and polite. I like the caring attitude that they had with the residents. I was impressed with the facility itself. The room was okay, but it was more like a hospital room with two people in it. However, it was clean. With regards to activities, at the time of my visit, a lot of them were visiting with their family members. As for the staff, in the beginning process I was agitated because I had called several times but I didn't get any feedback. However, when I visited, they answered my questions and they were polite. It was just that part when I made the initial contact, they just took awhile. I left messages but I never received a call back. When they did call back, they did apologize for that. They need to improve on communication. However, when I got there, it was an okay atmosphere. My mom just stayed in the lobby. She really wasn't too fond of the facility, but medically that's what we need.

My mother was in Britthaven for 30 days for her knee rehabilitation. They're understaffed. The facility and the rooms looked fine, but it was like 12 rooms to one nurse.
