"They nursing staff is amazing. They go above and beyond for the residents and their families. All staff members are always willing to help with anything that comes up. I am very grateful for the kindness towards my Mom even when she's giving them a hard time."

"At Britthaven of Goldsboro, they were very helpful and polite. I like the caring attitude that they had with the residents. I was impressed with the facility itself. The room was okay, but it was more like a hospital room with two people in it. However, it was clean. With regards to activities, at the time of my visit, a lot of them were visiting with their family members. As for the staff, in the beginning process I was agitated because I had called several times but I didn't get any feedback. However, when I visited, they answered my questions and they were polite. It was just that part when I made the initial contact, they just took awhile. I left messages but I never received a call back. When they did call back, they did apologize for that. They need to improve on communication. However, when I got there, it was an okay atmosphere. My mom just stayed in the lobby. She really wasn't too fond of the facility, but medically that's what we need. "

"This facility is amazing. The food is surprisingly good, the staff is friendly, and the amenities are nice. I went there about once a week for a year to visit my grandmother, who was no longer able to live by herself. I was always greeted by name every time and I was made to feel at home, always. I would have dinner there, and the staff even made it feel like a nice restaurant. Additionally, we would play Bingo, and the game center was very nice.I was told by my grandmother that the staff was also nice to her even when I wasn't there which was comforting. I really like the people who are there. It's a humane place with a dedicated staff and it certainly doesn't carry the stigma that many other assisted living facilities do carry. My grandmother enjoyed her stay there, and I never disliked going to visit her. "

"My brother moved into North Carolina State Veterans Home - Kinston. It's a wonderful place, very nice, very clean, and doesn't smell like pee. Everybody welcomes you with a friendly heart. They just were so, so helpful. We're just so delighted to have him back in there. He was in there for rehab. They sent him home, but he had to go back. This is his second time. They're just wonderful. The staff was wonderful. As soon as he pulled up, he had people out there that were so excited to see him. They walked out and just greeted him with open arms, and that staff is amazing. The room has his bed in there (which is a hospital bed), and then also tables and chairs, a desk, and wardrobe closets for him to put his clothes. It's kind of like a studio apartment, but we got one that had two great big windows. It's looking right out down the road. He could see people when they're coming in, and all the trees. It is beautiful. It's all private rooms. They had a bingo setup. They had church, and then they had game night. They had a lot of activities going on all through the day as well. He just came back today. The food is great."

"My mother was a resident of Smithfield Manor for three months. The staff is the thing that made this a good community. It was people who had worked there for many, many years. You could tell that they cared about their job and their residents. It was skilled nursing, so a lot of people were in beds. But they had lots of physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy."

"I am a patient recently admitted to the Brian Center in Wilson, NC for rehab from a Ankle Fracture. While here at the Brian Center, I have experience the excellent care being provided by their Physical Therapy and Occupation Therapy Departments. I have learned a lot about my care from the staff. Even though most of the staff is busy, They take their time to explained and teach the proper way to better my health. I have found that within these halls merge the evidence of great care and pride within the individuals that work here. The upper levels of Management should adhere to the same rules of conduct as the staff thus providing the best atmosphere to generate a working relationship. Overall, I have been very please with my care and treatment here at the Brian Center in Wilson, NC and would recommend this rehab facility to anyone seeking help. Thanks Again "
