"It was phenomenal. I was able to tour it. It's top notch, and if I could move my parents in the day I walked in there, I would. They showed me a one-bedroom and a studio apartment. They were top notch, very clean, and very spacious. I saw the food and the facilities, and they were all good. They had a courtyard and an outdoor area. They also have a dining area."

"My wife moved to Crimson Ridge Meadows. We are very impressed with the location and the facility. The people are very nice and very helpful to us. We are also very impressed with the people there. They have what they call "the gallery," which is a day room with different activities for the residents. When we go in with my 5-year old granddaughter to visit my wife, they love to see her. It's a very friendly atmosphere."

"We chose it for my father-in-law because we have had another family member that was in there and they provide excellent care. It's an assisted living complex with a memory care unit. I've witnessed how they interact with him and how they take care of him. They keep him occupied and busy, and he's at least, interacting with people his age. He's been in their assisted living for a month now. If there are any concerns or questions the staff always call. They just also really take good care of him. They have a calendar of what they do each day. They have an exercise thing every day, and they have a snack and chat, where they can communicate with one another. Today they're having a spider toss and an afternoon walk then they news and game shows in the evening. The place is only 5 minutes away from us. The other night, because he likes to watch sports and he sometimes has trouble working the remote and he couldn't find the baseball game, I ran down and got it on for him. It's that close so if he can't get something, I can always get down there and help him. The hospital's also probably five minutes away, and there's a bunch of restaurants in Geneva nearby. "

"I visited The Highlands at Pittsford. It was very nice because they had everything at one place. They had exercise rooms and community rooms. They also had a swimming pool, a barber shop, and a little shop where you can buy what you need. They provide transportation. "

"At Heather Heights, they have the services that my friend needs. The staff was great. The supervision staff, desk staff, and daytime staff have been supportive. They’re not all doing the same job, so there’s different people for different things. "

"We liked Glenmere Assisted Living & Memory Care because of a couple of things. One was they had all the licenses we needed and then once a person needs to move to a nursing home level, that person would get priority at their nursing home facility. The other big factor was they'll accept Medicaid. The staff was great. They were very responsive and they had everything like all sorts of activities. They do gardening and they had a nice outdoor patio. The place seemed to have a lot of natural light. The rooms were nice and I liked the in-room ability to shower."

"My dad and his wife lived in Cloverwood Senior Living. It was really nice. It had two or three different levels of care, and it had a separate building for people that needed following around, so they didn't walk out the doors. It had a dining facility, you could eat in or you could take your meals to your room, and you order them by the meal. It was a typical senior living facility, but it was kind of upscale. They had independent living facilities. They had their own room, and they could go down for meals. They took them shopping. It was full service. They were wonderful, clean, beautiful, well attended, and well staffed. It was a topnotch facility, and it wasn't cheap. The facility was well appointed, the food was excellent, and the staff was excellent. There wasn't anything that I would fault them for. It was well landscaped, the grass was always cut, the driveway was always shoveled, and the walks were shoveled. It was impeccable. If you are looking for something, this would be the top place you could be looking for."

"Fairport is very well layed out and very clean. Personnel were very accommodating. They do not have any beds at this time, but they have a choice of private and semi-private rooms. My husband was there for a few weeks in the rehab unit, and the food was very good. "

"We liked everything at The Northfield. We sampled the food, and everything was good. The staff was friendly. It looked like they had an interesting monthly plan for the activities with lots of stuff and shopping trips. "

"Everything at Grand Vie was satisfactory. I was looking for a friend. For medical and financial reasons, it was adequate for his needs. The people were very good. The rooms were satisfactory. Generally, the atmosphere seem good. We did have lunch there, which was adequate. We did not decide to pursue Grand Vie. "

"Nice faclilty with caring staff. Really try to help Alzheimer's patients. Good activites program for those who are willing to particpate. Food & dining services neededi imrpoved - about three years go. Nonprofit operated. "

"The Landing of Brighton would be a place we would like to go if we get to that point. The problem was it didn't work for the person we were looking for, my mom-in-law. She would be on the second floor and she's primarily in a wheelchair. Other than that, I liked everything about it. They had lots of activities. The facility was very clean. I liked their cleaning process and frequency. The employees were all very engaging. The residents all looked pretty happy. It's just really nice."

"We're pursuing Heathwood Assisted Living. It's a little bit more expensive than the other place we toured, but they had nice facilities. We liked it a lot. They didn't have any memory care openings, but they have assisted living with enhanced care. It seemed like it was a relatively new place and clean. It seemed quiet but it had a lot of facilities, they had a piano, he had a nice dining room and a nice area where they do crafts and so forth, so they had a bunch of stuff. They had a bunch of opportunities for mom to do and stuff to keep her brain going. They had a variety of types of rooms, we were looking at studios, which is just basically one room. They didn't have any cooking facilities other than a microwave and a small fridge, and I don't think we'd want anything more than that for her anyway. It was very nice, it's plenty big for her. They'll provide furniture to get us started because we don't have any at the moment, so that was helpful too. The staff who gave us the tour was very personable, knowledgeable and we felt very comfortable with her. I thought she did a good job of explaining things, she took us on a tour, showed off several different room configurations, and so forth. I think she was very accommodating to us. When we did the tour, they were still kind of closed for COVID, so the dining wasn't open. We've gone back since then, and it is open now. But at the time we did our tour, they weren't doing the activities because they had had a couple of people with COVID."

"I am the daughter of a resident that has been in this facility for almost 6 years and i can honestly say that since the day she moved into the facility things have definitely became not so great .....the medical attention that my mom needed had been ignored on a couple of occasions they told my mother just recently in the last 2 months she didnt need an ambulance(i heard this myself) after my mom complaining of shoulder pain and shortness of breathe for 2 weeks and me making threats to the facility did they call an ambulance finally. And the outcome to that is that my mom almost lost her life behind the facilities lack of empathy.......my moms heart was failing at only 20 beats . so the pains in her shoulder when she would complain about it was mini heart attacks! For 2 weeks my moms needs were ignored even after my mom asked to be taken in ambulance.....and this isnt the only. Incident......fractured pelvis that was ignored for 3 weeks but thats a whole other paragraph....needles to say i am now working on getting my mom out....it once was a very nice place. . the food is limited there are barely any activities and those only include a wii game coloring sometimes bingo ....bed bugs clothing doesnt get returned most of time....i can go on and on.This is things not only has my mom told me but things i have heard and seen myself with how the staff and facility is ran from 6 years ago til present....."
