"We quite liked Legacy At Cranberry Landing, but my friend did not want to go there. There were more separate areas for the residents to be in and unique, special areas, and more visiting rooms. The staff and admission people were always friendly. We did meet the residents who were very friendly and happy, so that was a good thing. "

They had multiple restaurants, a coffee shop, activities, a hair and nail salon, a barbershop, a chapel, and arts and crafts. The staff was wonderful."

"My grandmother is in here. It is very clean. Everybody is very nice and helpful. They are willing to talk to anybody who needs help. She is in a private room and it is very nice. The food is also good. They have a lot of music activities, shows and a lot of things during the holidays."

"The Greens is a beautiful place. They were wonderful. The staff was topnotch. They treated me like family; it was very good. The room is absolutely perfect for my dad. The size is right, the layout is right, and the distance to things is very good. The layout of the whole building was thought out with great care. It was spotless."

"Highlands at Pittsford was beautiful. It was lovely, but the units they had available were too small. It was what I could afford, but it was small. The facility was beautiful, but it was more expensive, and they didn’t have what I needed at that time available. "

"My aunt is at VillageWood (Legacy at Village Wood). The people there are nice and the facility is priced reasonably. They have everything, but she doesn’t participate in any of the activities, like bingo, manicure day, and trivia night. I definitely recommend this place. "

"On our second visit, we were able to view an apartment. They are not small in our estimation, but nice and cozy. Residents so warm and welcoming, staff is very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Lots of livivg and storage space. Looking forward to living here!"

"The person who gave us the tour of Cloverwood Senior Living was knowledgeable. The facility was lovely. The apartments were not as nice as the other place though. It's a beautiful setting, had a nice dining room, and a calendar of activities. They did not have a nurse on-staff 24 hours and that was a big deciding factor for us between Cloverwood and the other place. At the end of the day, they're about the same price and the same kind of amenities."

"Legacy at Clover Blossom was independent living and very beautiful. It had a pool, a fitness center, a media room, a lot of amenities, and nice grounds. Their dining area was beautiful and had nice décor. According to my father-in-law, it had very good food. "

"Gardens Senior Apartments was subsidized and too small for what we wanted. It was handicap-accessible, which was good, but we wanted a two-bedroom which was not available. We were above the income limit because it was subsidized. The environment was what we wanted. It was country living and about six miles from where we lived. We liked the area, but it was not ideal because it was not near the hospital. The staff was very good and very accommodating. Everything was very good. They had a nice environment, gardens, and activity rooms. They were very clean, but it was not for us."

"My mother was at Parkwood Heights. It was very convenient at that time because we only had a couple of days to find a place, and they were available. The rooms were fine -- a little above average. I didn't taste the food, but my mom liked it. She was there for a week. "

"Valley Manor is excellent. Our friends live there, and they're very happy, and that's why we looked there. It has different sizes of apartments that one can go into and that was a good thing for us because we'd like something a little larger when we're ready. We particularly liked the three-bedroom ones, and we liked that it's still within the community we have lived in for 40 years. We like that it's accessible to lots of cultural things and it's very walkable. It's an older facility, and yet they've done a nice job of keeping things in good repair and doing upgrades on balconies and such things. I liked that it has balconies that you can open up to the outside. You can be outside without leaving your private space. The staff was incredible. They were so good at remembering names and at highlighting the residents' accomplishments. One of the people I know from my church lives there. He just turned 90 and they did a big acknowledgment of him at the Eastman Theater and lots of the residents came to acknowledge him as well. I'm sure there were a lot of people who work there that were there, but one of them who was involved in admissions recognized me, knew my name, and I didn't even remember her name. I remembered her, but not her name. They are extremely good at meeting the needs of the residents and seeing the residents as complete people, including their past and their past accomplishments in their life, which I think is valuable when one is older and maybe not as capable. We have eaten there a couple of times and it's just fine. It's not outstanding, but it's been the pandemic, so it's been very hard to hire people. It has very thick concrete walls, so it's very quiet and it's easy to regulate the temperature in one's apartment. All the rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows or sliding doors out to balconies, so they're light and airy and pleasant to be in the apartments. The general area is very nice, too. The people there seemed very happy."

"St. John's Meadows is mostly independent. There is the part that's assisted but not much. I have an apartment that is a fairly good size and I cook my own meals. I don't go down for dinner. They have a lot of activities, bridge, euchre, all sorts of things. I have not participated too much because I haven't been here very long. It's a very nice place. The people are friendly here. If you have any questions about anything, they certainly are willing to answer and it's a very nice facility all around. "
