We were satisfied with Castle Pointe. The staff was eloquent. The place was very clean. It seemed like a real neat facility. We looked at the patio homes, the common areas, the cafeteria, and the exercise room. They had a doctor who would come in.

I thought Castle Pointe was a lovely place. I went with a couple of my friends, and the woman who showed us around really gave us a very thorough tour. I had an appointment, but there was a slight mix-up in communications. We checked in at the front desk, and I had to wait for about 15 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start, which wasn't a big deal. It's a lovely place. The staff offered to have lunch there, but we declined because we were heading elsewhere. She was very friendly, though. The place is very, very clean. The first floor plan that we saw was very small. It didn't have very much storage. Then the staff showed us another unit, which was a little bit larger. However, I did not care for the kitchens. I thought they were outdated. The price that was quoted for Castle Pointe was $200 more a month than the other community, so of course, I had to consider that.

We toured Castle Pointe. We had lunch there. It was a very nice tour. Everybody was very pleasant. They start with independent living, and they have very nice cottages available. It's also a bit expensive. The facilities were very clean. They have good flooring. However, there are quite a few people in an apartment complex and there are two elevators, one at one end and one at the other. If there was any kind of emergency and people were handicapped in any way or had difficulty with mobility, getting in and out might be very difficult. I tried their food, and it was very nice. The dining room was lovely. The person who gave the tour was very nice.

I have moved into Castle Pointe. It is well run. It's clean. Good food. It's quiet. There are a lot of things available to do. There are activities like bingo, car rides, going to the mall, etc. They keep this place immaculate. They're always cleaning, washing, wiping, and sweeping. I don't understand how they all do it because this place is huge. However, I would give the staff a rating of 4 because sometimes you have to wait as there are so many people. Value for money is a little bit high. Nevertheless, I would recommend this place to anyone for any reason.

My mother moved into Castle Pointe. We chose it because of the location, the cleanliness, and the services that they were offering. Everybody that I've dealt with has been very friendly and very helpful. They have a salon, a movie theater, an ice cream shop, and a weight room. They actually have a doctor that comes there once a week. They also offer rides anywhere you want to go.

I was able to tour Castle Pointe at Baywinde. The staff was very interested in everybody's welfare. We called them back to say that we would like to have a meal in their facility and if it was acceptable, and they said yes. My neighbor and I went and took a tour again and had a meal there, and it was very good. The rooms were a little bit smaller and the individual apartments didn't have outdoor spaces that are either balconies or patios. But they had congregational spaces on both the first and second floors, for people to go outside and inside. The room still had a good feel to it. When we got there, they were coming together to sing songs. And then we were coming back out as they were leaving, I said to this one lady "You guys sounded so good I want to just sing along", and she said, "You could have joined in with us." So my impression was they're just so darned-friendly. The staff was very friendly and wanted to know what I wanted, we had many questions and they gave us a lot of answers. The staff giving the tour was listening to my concerns, I also wanted to have a washer and dryer in my apartment, and they have those available for the larger 1-bedrooms and 2-bedrooms, but not for the smaller 1-bedroom. So they took us around and showed us the different sizes. The larger 1-bedroom was very good but the smaller 1-bedroom was too small. There's just a lot of activity.

We went to see Castle Pointe. It was a good community, but it was expensive. It was very clean, very nice, and it was located in a good area. They would transport their residents anywhere they needed to go. They had tons of staff. The food was very well prepared. The only downfall that I had with the food was people have so many different issues, and they will accommodate diabetics, but not so much with everything else. Other than that, the food tasted really good and they were served pretty fast. They had two different time slots. You could eat lunch and dinner. They had a buffet style type of breakfast, and you had the option of eating in your apartment if you would like to.

I toured Castle Pointe & Sage Harbor at Baywinde. It was more centrally located than the other place. The staff were friendly. The food was delicious and well-prepared. They seemed very flexible. There's a waiter that comes out and takes your order, and there were people that he recognized, and he said, 'We've got one held back for you, and I'll bring it right out,' that kind of thing. They had a salon-barber shop and exercise rooms. In terms of location, it's right close to a Wegmans, a Walmart, and a plaza right there. There's a YMCA right next door. It's a good location. Few restaurants around.

We went to look at Castle Pointe & Sage Harbor at Baywinde. My mother-in-law can get extra help with her medications in the independent living services. She can have her cats there. They have a nice library. They take them to different stores. They have trips that she would enjoy. The apartment was beautiful. It had a living room and a bedroom. It was all brand new. It even had a full kitchen. My mother-in-law is very picky. But there were a couple of things on the menu that she would like, so there was quite a bit to choose from. The staff members were wonderful. They even introduced us to some of the residents. Everyone loved it there. The facility was very clean and well kept.

I went to Castle Pointe & Sage Harbor at Baywinde. I met the person who does the tours. It was very lovely. The place was wonderful. I stayed and had a little lunch with some of the ladies and I enjoyed it very much. They were very welcoming and very supportive. The people that worked there all seemed to be enjoying their work. They said they were very happy and it was a nice place to work. The tour was very informative. The person that took me through showed me everything and showed me all the different apartments. I saw three different-sized apartments. They had a library, an exercise room, and a pool. It was very nice. I enjoyed the tour. The food was very delicious and had a variety, and it was a lunch menu. I sat with three people, and we all had a different meal and everybody enjoyed theirs. It's a very beautiful building, clean and modern, and the people that live there were very welcoming. One of the ladies that live there actually let us go through her apartment. Even though she was leaving, she was very gracious and let us see her apartment when she left.

Baywinde is a lovely facility which provides a wealth of activities for its residents. The huge issue is the food. My dad, who will eat anything, constantly complains about the food. Also, I'm sure my parents are not the only seniors who find it difficult to get up, dressed, etc in time to make it to the dining room for breakfast. A la carte continental breakfast items need to be available much later. Monthly fees are not cheap. Please work on your food service.

I like Baywinde Senior Living, but people have left and gone to other places. It has about everything you could think of, it's close to a lot of shopping areas, the bay, and near an amusement park too. The staff member was very friendly and showed me around, and it looked like the activities were good. They also have a snack area with treats and coffee available. The residents there were friendly, they have a kitchen full of a variety of food, extra storage, I saw a lot of activities going on, and they also have a happy hour. They showed me a variety of rooms. I probably wouldn't want a big room because there were so many places in the community where you could go and sit. They have an ice cream shop too. The independent living is large, and there's also another building which is for assisted living.

My Mom Loves it here especially now that she has a larger 1 bedroom. She loves the staff, maintenance and housekeeping. Everyone who lives on the premises are friendly and kind. The only problem is the food. Does not taste good have the time and what you pay to live there the food she bought delicious. I hope this review will help change the way the food is made and that they have more options and it will be better tasting.

Castle Point at Baywinde was quite a nice place. I just didn't like where it was. They offer transportation to doctors' appointments. I have no problems with it. It's just that the area is nothing I would be interested in traffic-wise. We only dealt with one person who took our group around and she was very knowledgeable and got us into many different inhabited rooms. She was very accommodating. The building is about 20 years old, but it looked fine to me. I didn't see anything problematic. They seemed to maintain it well and they had a very active maintenance staff that kept things running. The people that were living there seemed to like it as well. They were very accommodating, inviting me to come back and have lunch there. There was a couple that was part of the little tour I was with and they seemed to like the food. None of the rooms were huge, but it depends on what your needs are. I would need a 2-bedroom so I could have my one room to be my computer room. The 2-bedrooms there had a kitchen, a living room, and a bathroom, and it all looked very nice. The place is 20 years old and yet everything looked well-maintained.

Castle Pointe at Baywinde was very pleasant. There was a lot of activity, which I like. There were people coming and going, and a bus was taking them to the grocery store. I met nice people, and it seemed like a very pleasant place. It seemed like it was bustling with a lot of people doing things that they enjoyed.

Rooms are spacious and my mother likes it here but I didn't rate it higher because the food has gone downhill. Would like to see that improve as my mother is very disappointed. For what residents pay the food should be a higher priority. Many of her friends agree that the meals have changed.

My mother-in-law stayed at Castle Pointe at Baywinde. The décor looked almost like it was from 2000 or 2005, but it was very well kept up, very clean, and very nice. It looked almost like a hotel in the lobby. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but they're limited because it's independent living. She played bridge, Bingo, and puzzles, and they had concerts -- sometimes movies and special events like picnics. The food was good. We were very happy.

Castle Pointe at Baywinde was professional. We can use their doctors there that come into the community and see residents or my mother could continue with her own physician. I would say they’re average; I wasn’t impressed. They were underlying some changes with their admission and their screening tools and processes and I just did not have a lot of confidence that they had it altogether. There seemed to be some very vague understanding from the staff there where the corporation was making changes and when they’d be implemented. It just wasn’t the right fit for my mother or for us.

I had a very good experience at Baywinde. I was surprised that it was as roomy and large as it was, and the rooms were lovely, very nice, and with plenty of room for a single person to be in. I did not have a meal there, but a woman, who took us around, explained how they had different chefs from restaurants that were in Rochester who were very well-known for the wonderful meals that they prepared, so she showed us menus of a great variety. They had lots of activities and a lot of trips to different areas in Rochester, different restaurants that they would bring the residents out there, if they wanted to, and all they had to do was sign up. The rooms were roomy, and there was lots of closet space, which was very nice. They did have washers and dryers on the floor for residents to use, and they were convenient. They were at different ends of floor for the residents. It was a positive experience.

I called a number of places to set up visits- Baywinde was the only one I was able to get someone on the phone. The staff set up a visit quickly due to limited time for me. Dawn, the Sales Counselor answered everything, including questions I didn't know I had. As a potential client, we look to you to tell us what we need to know. My mom then came for a visit and immediately felt good about the connection there. Dawn, the Sales Counselor knew every resident as we passed and remembered so much about my mom and I. I was impressed. I would recommend Baywinde!

My mom was in independent living at Castle Pointe before and I thought it was outstanding. Castle Pointe is a much newer building and everything in it was pretty much brand new, and that's what is outstanding about it. The staff was very friendly and very good. We ate several times there and the food was good.

It's been two months since my mother-in-law transitioned to Baywinde (Independent Living) in Webster, New York. We never thought she would have adjusted as quickly as she did. Mary is 94 years old and had lived in her home for nearly 50 years. Unfortunately her home was multi level and we were concerned about her going up and down stairs. From day one the staff at Baywinde has been fabulous. They have been there for us as well as Mary. We can't thank them enough. For the first time in years we don't worry about her constantly. The atmosphere is unsurpassable. The facility has the appearance of a Resort. Very bright and cheery. Her apartment is lovely. A true "home". On a final note....the food is second to none. Five Star for sure !!!!

My mom is 83 and very independent. She lived in her own home and was quite active socially. She loved to play cards, etc. One of the difficulties we found as a family for mom was the loneliness of living alone. She didn't want to live with any of her children and wanted to maintain her independence. A friend of hers asked me to come with her to Castle Pointe at Baywinde. Her aunt was currently residing there. I went and fell in love with Castle Pointe. I knew in my heart this was a good place for mom. She would be able to maintain her independence while at the same time be able to make many friends, engage in social activities, have someone to dine with, go to church with, etc. We took Mom for a visit and she also fell in love with Castle Pointe. At one point she said to me - "You know what Deb - this is just like being in Heaven." I found this comment from her to be so touching because my mom is very spiritual. Baywinde has been a blessing not only to mom - but also to our family. She is happy, safe, has made many new friends, is playing cards, and even baking in her own apartment. She is happy and healthy and safe!!! The entire staff is wonderful at Baywinde not only to mom - but also to the family. Being a caregiver for a parent is a difficult task for a variety of reasons. Baywinde is a wonderful community for both the resident but also for their family and everyone's peace of mind.
