"The customer service I received at Solstice Senior Living at Fairport seemed great. The place was clean. They have good reviews on the food. The residents seemed happy there. They're very talkative and very upscale about the whole facility. The room size was adequate."

"It was very nice in terms of the layout of the rooms. I liked the fact that it had a highly usable kitchen. There's a stove, an oven, and a microwave so one could do their own cooking if necessary. They all had levels of activities. The demographics they have now are very good. The people did an excellent job of representing the place."

"I chose Legacy at Cranberry Landing for my mother-in-law. We liked the facility. It was convenient. It was close to where we live and the staff was very good. They invited my mother-in-law and asked her to go to all the activities, and she partook in them sometimes. The apartment is very clean, updated, and a nice size. They have a game room. They have areas for social get-togethers and they have outings."

"The visit to Quail Summit was good. I loved the grounds, but the rooms were a little small. They had a bus that took them to different places, bingo, different crafts, visiting entertainment, and a car show."

"Mom lives in Ferris Hills at West Lake. She has a very spacious two-bedroom, two-bath apartment. They have a shuttle service for residents to go to local stores/libraries as well as lots of activities. They have lectures, music performances brought in, continuing ed courses, card clubs, and all kinds of games. Should you need transportation that's not on the schedule with the shuttle, they have a private car that can take you where you needed to go. They're located very close to hospitals and medical facilities and all kinds of stores in the town of Canandaigua."

"I'm in Farmington Gardens and I'm very happy with this facility. This is just a 55 and over apartment, but I like the safety and security they provide. It's a very clean new building and there's only 88 apartments here. Everything is new and there's great safety features in the building. It's locked down at night. It's also peaceful and quite and there's a lot of things to do here. There are a lot of activities here that you can participate in. There's not much staff here, just an office and a maintenance person. "

"My parents were former residents of Ashton Place Senior Living. They had an apartment with their own car, although the place provided transportation if they needed it. They have all different levels of care, but my parents were independent. It was very nice, well-kept, and well-maintained. The staff was very good, friendly, and accommodating. Before Covid hit, my dad said the food was excellent. He was very impressed and loved every meal. He spoke highly of it. When Covid hit, I think they lost a lot of staff, and the meals became more mundane like having spaghetti sauce out of a jar. For activities, they have organized bingo and Mardi Gras parties. They even had local musicians come in. They also had Sunday services right there, and they didn't even have to go to church. It was not cheap, but they did go above and beyond."

"I moved into Legacy at the Fairways. It's a very good location right next to a golf course, and they keep the grounds in very good shape. We have quite a few different activities like card games, bingo games, word games, dice games, and exercise programs. We also have Watermark University where they encourage you to attend classes. There are chapel services for Catholic people and church services for Protestant people. The apartments are very nice and roomy. The staff here is very helpful. The food is very good. They have a restaurant-style dining room where you order from a menu."

"My mom moved into Vienna Gardens. The general appearance was awesome; it's very nice, they keep it extremely clean, and it's decorated beautifully. They had a lot of things for the residents to do. Everyone was really helpful, we had aides twice a day for her, and the administrator staff was just wonderful. So far, I've been extremely satisfied with the services. Seniors can live there independently, but they have modified assisted living; it just depends on what the residents need. They have crafts and games, and so far, mom has played Bingo and cards. She's starting to socialize. The dining area was very quaint, the food was really good, they had choices, and they can go and eat anytime. "

"We toured Parkwood Heights. We toured two separate independent living situations. They were like townhouses, but they were smaller. There was only a one-car garage in the one we saw. It's independent living, and they had enriched living, too. Lisa is the name of the girl who showed it to us. She showed us two independent living situations. The only thing is they had a one-car garage, they had no basement, and they were much smaller areas than at the other place. There was one unit that could be appealing. It's just that we live in a very large ranch right now, and to me, the space was kind of confining. The staff told us about different activities. She showed us the dining room and the main building. It seemed not as open, and it seemed like there were fewer activities at that particular place. But they have transportation, meals, housekeeping, laundry services, gourmet catering, and room service. There are all sorts of things that you can add on. Other facilities are rental, but they have patio homes, too. If you took advantage of that and bought a patio home through a realtor, you could take advantage of the services that they provide for their seniors. You could also add on those services and pay for those privately. The staff who toured us was new there, so she wasn't familiar with some of the different things there, but she was very nice. "

"Gardens Senior Apartments was subsidized and too small for what we wanted. It was handicap-accessible, which was good, but we wanted a two-bedroom which was not available. We were above the income limit because it was subsidized. The environment was what we wanted. It was country living and about six miles from where we lived. We liked the area, but it was not ideal because it was not near the hospital. The staff was very good and very accommodating. Everything was very good. They had a nice environment, gardens, and activity rooms. They were very clean, but it was not for us."

"Lyon's Manor is okay. It's not the greatest, but it's not bad. It is close to us, it's decent, and it's affordable for my mother. The staff is great and very nice. The residents do all kinds of different activities for each month. They figure things out together what they want to do. "

"My mother in law was at Legacy for a little over 4 years before she moved on to assisted living. The facility was clean, well managed and the staff was excellent. She often raved how great the meals were. There were enough activities to keep her active. Her apartment was just about the right size for her and she had everything in it she needed. the maintenance staff was very good at fixing any issues that came up. I would highly recommend Legacy at Willow Pond."

"I am a resident of Alpine Manor Home for Adults. My experience is good, and this is way less expensive than the other facility. In the afternoons, we always have something going on. We have a person in charge of activities, and we do everything from playing bingo to listening to music. We have these crazy instruments that we play. It's a lot of fun. We do a few things for exercise. We played games and cards. There's a good amount of things to do. They clean your room every day. There's a lot of gardens out there, so we get a lot of fresh food out of that in the summer, and it's better, but there's a lot of processed food and stuff."

"My dad and his wife lived in Cloverwood Senior Living. It was really nice. It had two or three different levels of care, and it had a separate building for people that needed following around, so they didn't walk out the doors. It had a dining facility, you could eat in or you could take your meals to your room, and you order them by the meal. It was a typical senior living facility, but it was kind of upscale. They had independent living facilities. They had their own room, and they could go down for meals. They took them shopping. It was full service. They were wonderful, clean, beautiful, well attended, and well staffed. It was a topnotch facility, and it wasn't cheap. The facility was well appointed, the food was excellent, and the staff was excellent. There wasn't anything that I would fault them for. It was well landscaped, the grass was always cut, the driveway was always shoveled, and the walks were shoveled. It was impeccable. If you are looking for something, this would be the top place you could be looking for."

"We visited Legacy at Village Wood. It was very welcoming. The person that we met was really nice and tried very hard to answer our questions and accommodate my sister. They were working to make it up-to-date. The rooms were very nice and had been updated. They were nicely painted and had new carpeting. I looked at the dining area. They kept their residents active, too. "
