My parents were former residents of Ashton Place Senior Living. They had an apartment with their own car, although the place provided transportation if they needed it. They have all different levels of care, but my parents were independent. It was very nice, well-kept, and well-maintained. The staff was very good, friendly, and accommodating. Before Covid hit, my dad said the food was excellent. He was very impressed and loved every meal. He spoke highly of it. When Covid hit, I think they lost a lot of staff, and the meals became more mundane like having spaghetti sauce out of a jar. For activities, they have organized bingo and Mardi Gras parties. They even had local musicians come in. They also had Sunday services right there, and they didn't even have to go to church. It was not cheap, but they did go above and beyond.

Ashton Place Senior Living is an excellent facility. It's about 25 years old. It's in very, very good condition and the people there are wonderful, very caring, and concerned about the residents. My mother-in-law has a kitchenette, a living room, a big bathroom, and a big bedroom. All the meals can be provided. Rides can be provided. There are three different levels of care there and the highest level of care will administer medications. They will check the residents every two hours. It's a very good facility and the people are all excellent. We had food there and their menus are outstanding. They're usually at a choice of entrees for dinner and during the holidays, they put on a spread for them. They had prime rib and shrimp cocktails and all sorts of sweet things. They have many activities. My mother-in-law enjoyed playing bingo. They usually have musical concerts at least 2 or 3 times a week. They offer religious services.
