I went to Benhurst Center for Rehab for about a week. The care was pretty good, but the food was a little hit and miss -- some good and some bad -- so that was my main complaint. The staff is great, they do their job, and they're conscientious, friendly, and helpful. The room was relatively clean; there were some cleanliness issues, but nothing terrible, just things that were kind of overlooked. They came and cleaned every day, they swept up, they mopped the floor, they cleaned the bathroom, and the room was pretty clean. One problem I had was with the TV system. The cable system was out the whole time I was there. I had my computer with me so I was able to watch TV on it. I was under quarantine for the week I was there, so luckily I had something to do, or I would have been in trouble. The therapy was OK; it was very basic. It included exercising, and that was about it. I know they have a salon and a cafeteria. I know they do activities, and everybody is pretty friendly and helpful.

My mother was in Bensonhurst Center for Rehab and she was happy there. The food wasnt the greatest, but the therapy and the nursing services were fine. She was happy with the people there, and the administrative people. They were able to get her to walk again. They have a dining area, they have church on Sunday, and they have a little yard where they took her out almost every other day. She was happy with her roommate.

My sister went into Holy Family Home. All in all, I'm happy with the care and the staff. They have been very helpful with us. They are really on top of stuff. Regarding activities, they have many everyday. They have bingo and sing-a-longs. They had a big Thanksgiving party. They had Christmas stuff. They had a New Year's party. They have a girl that goes around and does the nail polish. The only thing I don't like is when the doctor orders medicine, you have to wait 24 hours to get it. That I don't like.
