Seaton Ocean Grove

I toured Seaton Ocean Grove's assisted living, and it was very outdated. The air conditioning wasn't really adequate, and it also smelled a little. The staff was great, though. I don't feel like the common spaces were clean, but the rooms were fine.

Room and bathroom not cleaned thoroughly. Food does not appear appetizing or nutritionally balanced. Residents not served tea or coffee with meals. Not given water consistently. Dining room hall community room not kept clean. SHORT STAFFED Lack of activities besides TV blocks and coloring.

I went on a tour of Seaton Ocean Grove for a friend. It has very nice rooms, very open, and is pleasant around the surroundings. They had good windows and good visibility. There is an ocean view. There is good space around where the tenants or people who live there can go and just relax, or go for a walk. So there's a lot of things going on. You can get around and you can enjoy a lot of things very easily. And if they need to use transportation, there's Uber and cars that can take them and bring them back reasonably. The staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable. The facility was very well kept and the accessibility was very good.

I had an in-person tour. It is very convenient because I live in Ocean Grove, so I can walk there. The facility was very, very clean. The staff was very knowledgeable and also friendly. It just had a good feeling when you walked. The dining room is brand new and looks very nice. The rooms were nice as well. We looked at two different types of rooms, and they are very, very nice and comfortable. The staff was very good. They were careful and had good security. They still check your temperature and all that with the COVID; it's very safe. They have a beautiful patio facing Lake Fletcher. Quite a few people were sitting out there. It was a beautiful day, and people were enjoying the sun. It was nice.

I love the location, it's beautiful. It's right near the water, so it had a lovely view and it was a nice facility. It was perhaps not as fancy as the other place we toured, but still a very nice facility. And they were doing renovations for the memory units, so I'm assuming once that's done, it will be upgraded. It's clean as well as the rest of it. The staff who gave the tour was good. There were a couple of questions that she wasn't able to answer, which we were able to find the information later on. We saw some of the double rooms. Those were nicely arranged so that even though people are sharing a room, they still have their own privacy.

My mom is moving into here. It seems like a very nice facility, and I love that it's close to the ocean. The staff seems friendly, and overall I've been happy with it. I got my mom a pretty big studio. It won't fit all of her things, but it will fit some of the more precious items that she loves. They have a physical therapy room that she'll definitely enjoy. They also offer trips and activities down by the ocean. They have a hair salon, and they have a monthly schedule of activities that she can participate in if she chooses to. Their dining room was closed due to someone having COVID. I saw the food on trays being delivered. I understand from the admissions person that the food is rated pretty well by the residents.
