"Brighton Gardens of Edison was very clean and very neat. Everything was on ground level, so we didn't have to worry about any staircases or anything. It was very well lit and easily accessible. The rooms were very clean, modern, neat, and all pretty new. We went through the kitchen, and everybody who was eating there looked very happy. The staff was very nice, courteous, and professional. There was no pressure. No sales pitches. They just let us take a look and walk around."

"Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation Healthcare Facility is very impressive They provide high caliber care. The rooms are clean, very sanitary, cozy and great view. The food is tasty and nutritious . Three meals a day breaktfast, lunch and dinner. On Wednesdays they set up the Dining Hall like a restaurant with linen table cloth silverware a menu describing the appetizer, entree and dessert. The entire staff are very attentive and make you feel that patient care is their utmost priority."

"Regency Heritage gave my husband tender loving care while he was in this beautiful facility. I am indebted to the staff more specifically to the dedication and kind regards of folk like Evette and others on the first floor. When my husband moved to the second floor we were met with another group of dedicated professionals. The expert professionals in the rehabilitation unit were phenomenal. They brought my husband back from immobility to satisfactory mobility in a shorter period of time than the family even expected. Forever grateful."

"My mother is in Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls. She was there once before, and it's excellent therapy; she was able to walk again. When you call them, they respond. They're there for whatever your needs are. They're very responsible. When you need something, they'll call you back instantly. I called them this morning at 8:30, by 10:00, I had an answer. They're very caring to my mother. The food is excellent. If she doesn't like what they are serving that day, they will make her anything else she needs -- salmon, there are many choices. It's an excellent place. They're a "five" in every aspect, and they are caring, concerned, and responsible."

"My sister is in Monmouth Care Center. It's very good. Everybody there seems very nice, takes really good care of her, and looks out for her. It's very nice. It's a newer building, has two floors, and doesn't have the nasty smell that I experience with other nursing homes, so it's a clean place. "

"My sister has memory issues and was not able to take care of herself. Living far distant from her, I rely on the wonderful care HMH has offered. The staff, especially the Activities department (Sue and Frank) keep my sister engaged with pertinent activities. My sister enjoys the food and especially the morning coffee cart. I have FaceTime every week to connect and have engaging conversation with my sibling. She is up to date with the local and world news via her room TV. Her clothes are clean . She likes the art and cooking and trivia activities. The building is not attractive but the kindness of the people is note worthy."

"My father has been in rehab here after a fall and 2-week hospital stay. The staff, therapists, and nurses are fantastic. I can't speak to the nursing home aspect, but in terms of rehab, I was very happy. The food choices are creative and varied and the quality of the food is great. "My relative chose the Medicenter Nursing Home in Neptune City, New Jersey, because it was close to family and friends. I visited with her several times a week there and it was a facility that I could not recommend to anyone. She was an active patient, but could not walk well. An alarm was placed on her to alert the staff if she tried to get out of her chair. When the alarm sounded, no one would respond. She fell on the floor so many times while in this nursing home that I stopped counting. She was bruised from head to toe. The home bragged that they were a "no restraint" facility, but they failed to add that their residents were often the victims of injuries due to falls. Medicenter was also not up to par on cleanliness. I witnessed nursing aides leaving patient's rooms still wearing the gloves that they had used in handling the patient. The staff didn't seem to understand basic rules of hygiene. I felt positive when my relative entered this home, because it was a small facility with a fairly good reputation. Afterwards, I regretted not helping to get her into another home. I arrived there one day to find my relative unable to speak intelligibly. I had to almost beg the nurse to call her doctor. She was taken to the hospital where she died a week later. She was in kidney failure, and the staff didn't notice how ill she seemed. If another family member wanted to reside in this nursing home, I would do everything possible to talk them out of it. "

"He was moved to King James. This place is nice and good. They have activities. It was bright and cheerful. There were always people around and he was never left alone. He was fed properly and it was great. This place is very good. He was only there for two and a half weeks, but he bounced back, and he was doing well. He was hydrated again and talking. He was cheerful and watching TV. He was happy, and he was able to eat by himself. At the other place, he was withdrawn and just in a shell. King James is very good. It is clean, cheerful, and bright. There is always something for people to do. Even if the people can't do anything, there are people talking to them and helping them eat. It is nice, very good, and well run. "
