I visited the independent living community, and it was very appealing and very friendly. They greeted me by name, and the place was clean and inviting. There were people playing games, so it looked like the residents were enjoying it. It looked like a nice place to stay, and the people were extremely helpful and friendly. I saw a 1-bedroom apartment with a small kitchen, and it was empty. They had all kinds of amenities on every floor. They had a few places where you could go with your friends, with the people there, or just by yourself. You could read or just sit on your own. Every floor had a few of those areas, and I thought that was very nice. They offered me a meal, and even when I told them that I won't be able to, they were more than happy to say that I should come back, and they would keep in touch with me. When I moved to this area, I would pass this facility, and I had told them that I had always looked and admired it and kept thinking about going there. They were one of the places that Caring.com had set me up with, and I was very happy about that.

I visited. The person who toured me around was very friendly, seemed very knowledgeable, and was really hoping to put me in the last unit that they had available. It's just the way the place is set up; it's like going to my grandma's house. It seems like it's just geared towards older people, like 80 years old and above. It didn't have much of a youthful feel about it. I've always lived in pretty good-sized houses, and the space was just too small for me. It was immaculate. They took really good care of it and made sure it was presentable. They have more than one dining hall, and they seemed fine, but a little too stuffy for me. The pastel colors that they used just made you feel like you were going to see your grandma. The parking in front was acceptable.

I toured. There wasn't anything I didn't like. I thought it was very nice. They had the little villas that were separate, which had a garage. The only thing I can think of that I didn't like is the location for us personally to drive there from where we are would have been a little bit more than we'd be able to fly. The staff was very helpful. They went out of their way. The building appeared to be very clean and set up very well. The layout was nice.

I will be moving in. From what I've seen of it so far, I liked it. The pool and the room that they had available are right across the hall from the pool. They do the laundry. This place is perfect. It's set up for me like a ranch out. Everything that I need is on the same floor within doors. It's like two doors to the left is the laundry. The other direction is the fitness, the hair salon, the food, and the activity room. The food is good. The pool is great. The facility is clean. The place is very lit up. They have a bar and a pool table inside. There are so many activities going on. It gives you a better feeling. You don't feel like you're in an apartment all day long. They have an open dining room, so I can go in when I want to eat and not have set times that I have to eat, or I could miss a meal. You feel more like you have your own freedom in your life in this place. The marketing person was great. I've met the maintenance and the people at the front desk. They all seem very open, very eager to help, and friendly.
