"I liked everything about The Lumiere of Chesterfield. They had a private chef who worked with the people who lived there to get on the menu what they preferred to eat according to their diet. A lot of these people are diabetics and when they go to another facility, they don't care what they eat, they just put garbage on the menu. This private chef makes a world of difference. They have high ceilings and big, spacious rooms. It's much more spacious than a lot of the facilities I've seen. It makes it feel much more luxurious and much more like home."

"We looked at Friendship Village Chesterfield, it was wonderful, but just too expensive for us right now. The staff that we met were very nice, they're very good. They had lots to offer the residents. They had a swimming pool, they had a theater, an events room, an exercise room, a fitness center, and an arts center. We only saw a 1-bedroom at the time because they didn't have a 2-bedroom available, and there was a two-year wait for a 2-bedroom. So I thought that was kind of ridiculous. The 2-bedroom was a little tight, it's a bit on the small side. Their landscaping was very nice."

"I visited Brookdale Creve Coeur. The staff was nice and friendly. The place was nice and clean. The rooms were medium-sized and not so bright. "

"I have moved into The Villa at Riverwood. They have different activities, and they have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All kinds of recreation are going on during the day. They have a hairdresser here. They have people come in, play the piano and sing, and they have a choir here. They also have religious programs. In my apartment, I have the living room area, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. They have other room types. The staff is wonderful. They have a cafeteria and anything you want you just have to ask, and they'll get it for you."

"It was the place I was trying to get my husband into. It was 5 minutes from my house, and I tried to get him there, but he was too sick for them. It's a beautiful place. We went and toured their memory care and it was very nice and very neat. It was a beautiful place on the inside and outside. The room was lovely and very, very nice. I only saw one and it had a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, and a bedroom. The staff who assisted us was also very nice."

"Rockwood is small in a good way but a little bit older and dark inside, so I don’t think it’s going to be a right fit because it’s not updated. I liked that the rooms were quite spacious with a good-size kitchen and a good-size living space and bedroom. The staff is very friendly and very clear about the information. "

"My mom has moved here. It's warm and welcoming. The staff was very personable and were resident-focused. They're very hospitable, willing to help, very accommodating, and willing to go out of their way to help residents. My mom has her own apartment. It's very open, and it has nice hardwood floors in the living room and the kitchen area. It also has lots of closet space, and emergency pull cords in the bedroom and the bathroom. It's very clean and they're very quick to help residents in their rooms for hanging things or that kind of thing. The dining area is very open, and I love how they have open dining. You can come down whenever you get up in the morning. If you want to have breakfast for dinner, you can have that. You can order anything off the menu at any time during the day whatever their hours are."

"Friendship Village Sunset Hills was a beautiful place. They showed us two-bedroom with a den and one-bedroom with a den. The rooms were very nice. They have a person who will take you to your doctor's appointment, and they have a doctor who comes into the place. Housekeeping and linen laundry are also part of the package. The staff was very informative and really wanting people to come back for a private meeting."

"I toured Tower Grove Manor. I liked the rooms. They're just too high for me. The place seemed good to me. They have a community place where you can sit out. The rooms were very nice. The staff was nice."

"I am a resident of Wyndham Park III. My experience here has been very favorable. The manager is pleasant and replies to any request. The maintenance is pretty good. I'm on the first-floor accommodation and I like it. It's a secure building. You have to have key fobs to get into the building. I believe it's about 790 square-feet, so it's a good size. The neighbors are nice. I have a two-bedroom apartment with a washer and dryer and ADA accommodation. They do a couple of trips a year and you have to pay. It's an extra, but they have a bus to take you Monday through Friday to different grocery or shopping areas and that is included in the rent, so you don't have to have a car. I still have my car and a covered parking spot which is also very nice. They have a professional outside maintenance for the lawns and that's a nice feature. The rent is controlled, although the rent went up considerably in the last couple of years. They have a luncheon once a month where they provide the main course. We do have groups that play cards and mahjong. We have an exercise room that has treadmills and bicycles. I think the building is about 16 years old. They haven't maintained the interior very well. It needs some redecorating or cleaning."

"I toured Wyndham Park II. They were very nice and helpful. There was not as much interaction as the other two places. It was a smaller place, so they didn't have as much staff. The staff that I did encounter were very nice. The rooms were very clean, but it was smaller than the other two. Everyone seemed very happy there."

"Garden Villas of O'Fallon was very nice. They had a larger selection of rooms. We had a specific size in mind and we viewed several different apartments. It seemed like they had a better availability. The pricing was probably the best of all the places we visited. Some of the rooms were smaller and you can go all the way up to a two-bedroom. The rooms were nice. The amenities were better than any of the other locations we looked at. The assisted living community had access to all the amenities. They got a swimming pool, a library, a painting room, a pub, and a bowling alley. They had outings. A big selling point was the proximity to where I live. They are the closest. The staff was all very professional, very friendly, and all very good. We got copies of all the menus and the activities."

"It is the one that I love. It's a small place, and it's homey. There is a nice place around the fireplace, and then they have a dementia ward, and that's nice. It's a very nice homey place. They take the residents to places, and the staff said they have something going on everyday."
