"We chose The Villages of St. Peters for mom, because she was in the rehab facility next door that is managed by the same company and it just provided the perfect environment for her. It has smaller wings of living facilities with up to a dozen people per wing, which is perfect for her style. The memory care staff is warm and caring. They have many activities. She's on the go right away every day after breakfast through early afternoon and they'll usually have at least three or four activities for her to choose from if she wishes to do them. Then sometimes they even do field trips. She has gained weight, so she likes the food. The facilities are very clean, well-kept, bright, and cheerful. She's got a well-sized room with two closets."

"I visited the assisted living level of Breeze Park, which also had an Alzheimer's unit. The people there were nice, and the facilities were gorgeous. They had a bus that took the residents off-site to movies, ice cream and things like that. In the community, they had music, yoga, a pianist visiting, bingo, and pretty much everything. The apartment that I saw was a private room with its own bathroom setup like a bedroom with a sitting area for a TV, recliner, and couch. It's large enough for a queen-sized bed. They can roll the wheel chair inside the shower. There were also transfer and lift devices in the room but out of the way, so it didn't look like a medical facility."

"This facility has exceeded my expectations. Candace, is a compassionate , highly skilled caregiver. So very lucky to have her taking care of my husband! She goes above and beyond constantly! The whole team has helped me in every way possible . Thanks 🙏 "

"The social worker assigned to the case found Frontier Health and Rehabilitation for us. Staff is really good. They work with my dad. He is in their memory care. They kept me informed of what's been going on. They have a workout place and activities, and they do exercise. The place is just old. The building needs to be rehabbed."

"My mother moved into NHC Healthcare-St. Charles and she's doing well, adjusting well. I've seen a great deal of personal care and caring, and interest by the staff. We're very pleased with the care that she's getting. There's a calendar there with planned activities every day, but my mother doesn't participate in them."

"My brother moved into Lewis & Clark Gardens. It was more of what he was used to, so compatibility. It was almost like a dorm room for college. Each person could have a bed, and his or her closet space. The staff was very upbeat, and willing to help."

"We chose Charlevoix Healthcare Center for our mom because it was convenient and centrally located for my family and me. I also knew someone who had a parent there and they had readily available rooms. The place was very open, bright and clean, and the people were very friendly. I hadn't eaten there but I sat with my mom while she ate and the food appeared really good. The residents seemed to like the food. I would recommend this facility to other people. "

"My aunt is not able to communicate and the staff provides everything she could need or want with compassion. Nurses are fantastic and on top of every aspect of her care, any time we have questions they are happy to help. We had been to 4 other homes looking for the right place and none were as good as Mount Carmel. The decor isn’t great but who cares about outdated wall colors or ugly carpeted dining rooms/halls when the care is stellar. Nurses and aids are the best we have experienced anywhere in st Charles. "

"I just had a stroke. multiple brain bleeds, and a bunch of blood clots. My independent lifestyle was turned upside down and inside out. I could not take care of myself and go back home. When I arrived here, I was kicking and screaming. I was scared, not knowing what to expect. But, over time the wonderful staff guided me through the weeks and slowly brought me back to life. I could not be happier or more grateful to this facility. No matter how stubborn or cranky I was, they stayed positive and kept me moving forward. God Bless Each and Every One of Them! They changed my life!"

"Most of the staff and nurses seemed pleasant. They were eager to assist us, they immediately began interacting with my grandmother and trying to make her feel at home, before we'd even signed her in. The residence has been in business for more than twenty years and still looks fairly decent. Generally it was a positive atmosphere. When you walk up to the front doors of the building, there's a few rocking chairs outside and they were occupied by a couple residents as we approached. They were friendly. The amenities are pretty standard and acceptable for the handicapped. They even have an "activities hour" where they gather the residents into the dining hall and engage in a game of cards or they play music. It's nice. A boost for morale. "

"The reason why my husband went into The Westchester House was because he needed peritoneal dialysis. His nurse from the dialysis clinic went over to try and train the staff, but the people there didn't have masks and they didn't wash their hands, so I was just horrified. Their dialysis is not good. They seemed to be good in just their nursing care. He was in an acute rehab center there, but nobody could get him back to being strong enough to use his walker. Some of the nursing staff was very good and very attentive, but others were not. It would depend on which nurse he had that day. You could tell that the building itself was getting old and probably wasn't maintained as well as it should have been. We didn't have to pay for it because Medicare paid for it."

"My wife was in two other facilities, one month at one, and two months at the other, and we moved her because of the poor care at the other facilities. This place was recommended by a friend and we found it to be very good. She had a nice room and the staff was caring and friendly. For a year and 10 months I got to see this place on a daily basis and was very pleased overall with the facility and the staff. They have a better staff to resident ratio than at the other facilities we were in. I did her laundry because I thought the laundry fee was excessive, but this is my only complaint. We spent a lot of time together out on their courtyard. Lots of activities and most importantly good care. "

"We went over to Delmar Garden of Chesterfield, and it was very, very nice. The person we met was very informative, and it's a family-run business. They do a lot of things that will accommodate you, that some places wouldn't do. The bedrooms are very nice. Any changes you want to make, they're very accommodating and they'll do them. The dining area was beautiful. They have a big grand piano in there. They bring music in. The atmosphere was very upbeat and just positive. The employees we met have been there for 20 and 30 years. It looks like people enjoy working there."

"My father was at Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital. He had to have a talk with them because they wanted to give him a shower at night, and he is a shower in the morning kind of person, so they worked that out. Everybody that I had seen and talked to was very nice. The rooms were pretty big and very clean. He didn't like that they made him do stuff, and I was like, "You are in a rehab facility, and that's their job." Overall, it seemed really nice. They have a gymnasium there where they do a lot of physical therapy in groups and stuff. They have their own little cafeteria."
