The Gardens at Northgate Village

I moved into The Gardens at Northgate Village. I think it's a very good place to live, everybody's so friendly, and they have activities for the seniors. It's beautiful on the outside and on the inside. I have a balcony. They take care of the grass, and everything is so clean. The staff is really nice. They're really good people. They helped me get into here because I didn't want to sign another one-year lease where I was living. They went through a lot to try to find a place for me to move to. We have our own kitchen. A lot of people order Meals on Wheels, so they come in and take it right to your door. They have a trash valet; they pick up two bags every Friday, so that helps too. You don't have to take your trash out. You can sit outside and watch the buses go by. They've got benches on the outside and the back that you can sit on or take walks. It's really a safe place so far. They have karaoke and wine. They had a buffet on Saturday. They've got bingo on different nights. They give you a calendar at the beginning of the month to let you know what activities are going on. A lot of people go to them and participate. I have a handicapped bathroom where the seat comes down from the wall, and plenty of bars to hold on to, and all the cabinets are low for me. Everything is just perfect for me. Not all of them are handicapped, so I was glad I got one. There's plenty of room in my apartment. I don't hear traffic or anything. At nighttime, you can hear a pin drop. No bad activity has come around here yet, so I think it's a good spot to live in.

I found The Gardens at Northgate Village for myself. I have been here for two and a half weeks now. I have a one-bedroom. It has everything I need. I have a good-sized living room, a bar, and a kitchen. The kitchen is open to the living room. There are a lot of friendly people around here that I've already met. The laundry is not in the unit. In my case, it's across the hall, but there's no charge for anything. It has three washers and dryers, and I have no trouble with getting in there. The staff members are very friendly. They're here to serve all your needs. I'm quite pleased with the staff. They have a few activities. Just last night, they had a potluck dinner.

The office staff of The Gardens at Northgate Village is very nice and helpful. They keep the place very tidy. I have nothing bad to say about them. The residents are nice and kind. It's just a great place to stay. The facility is very clean. I haven't had any problems with maintenance coming to repair anything. I've never attended any of the activities because of the hours that I work. I just go by what they posted on the board, and they have bingo, crafts, walks to the park, happy hour, and potlucks. I feel safe here. It's very friendly, caring, supportive, and helpful.
