We liked that The Eloise Apartments were independent living, and that the location was good. They had some two-bedroom apartments. They were opening in the last six months or so, and so there were plenty of places to move into, but it would have made commuting hard for my wife. That was the hang-up on it. She goes to Saint Paul, and so it would have added about 30 minutes to her commute. Otherwise, we probably would have signed up. It was a nice independent living facility, and we felt like we could get a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment there for less than all the other places we've been to. They had plenty of available exercise rooms, libraries, and places to sit inside and outside. On the way in, there's a big glass building that you can sit in during the wintertime to get a good dose of sunshine and warmth, which was attractive to me. It's an outdoor solarium. Also, the building itself, the location, and being able to see the park from many of the apartments were attractive. It was a new building. So, it's very clean and very modern. It's very much the kind of building that you'd want to see when you walk into a place. It was quite nice. However, there aren't any other facilities affiliated with them. So if I needed to go to assisted living, I'd have to move, and that's not a great thing, but all in all, I think they were the top. The person who did the tour knew her stuff. She was bright, happy, and helpful. We spent quite a while with her looking at it. The carpets were freshly washed. The apartments themselves that we walked into were pretty much immaculate, and all the group areas, the sitting rooms, the libraries, and the craft area and stuff were all super clean and very inviting.
