Our dad was in Regency for just under 4 weeks. He had been discharged from the hospital to Regency. He had been in PT etc at St. Mary's, but the program was too much for him, so it was rather a quick transition. We didn't really have time to be picky. When we arrived, they got him directly to his room which was clean and light! Dad was pretty out of it, but cooperated as much as he could. In the next few days, we got to know the staff and were thrilled with everyone. The nurses who worked with Dad were very kind and gentle, but kept a close eye on him as he had had a bad fall at the hospital which really incapacitated him. His aides were wonderful, getting him showered and progressively upright. The PT staff was incredible with my dad. The PT specialists that worked with dad made his day and he worked hard for them both! My dad has not been eating well, but they kept offering him as many options as possible. One of his favorite dietary staff members brought him soup after he refused to eat the lunch item, and he gobbled the soup up. They all came in sunny and cheery and seemed to hold dad's affection. He even gave all of them little clothespin Holiday ornaments that he had made a few years ago. By the way, we tried the food, and it was good! I noticed in the dining area, that most plates went pretty untouched. It is definitely not about the cooking, however. The dining staff had music on and made the experience very pleasant for everyone. Dad didn't go to any activities, and he's been pretty low since his fall, but staff members insisted that he get up and sit in the chair and would chat with him and keep him going on his bad days when we weren't there. My siblings and I were very pleased with our experience at Regency. It's a tough job for all, but they work hard to make things as pleasant as possible for people going through hard physical times. Thank you to everyone at Regency!

First, the facility is beautiful and the individual rooms are beautiful. The food is fairly decent too. The physical therapy is very good. However, My dad has currently been there 3 weeks and has had only 1 actual shower, we've mentioned it at least twice to no avail. The night shift is hit or miss. Some aides would rather not help him hold the urinal, they say they dont that, YET IM TOLD IT’S PART OF THIR JOB. They would prefer to have him go in his brief and have to change him, I'm not sure this is the best way. They can be slow to respond, perhaps they are short staffed. If these issues were reolved I would have given them 5 stars.

My father is in Regency at Westland. It's nice on the inside. It looks like a hotel. He's not sharing it with anybody, so he has a pretty big room. It looks pretty clean to me. I haven't really met too many of the staff, but they seem pretty good. Their rehabilitation area is huge and it's good. The dining area is just like a typical cafeteria-looking place.

The esthetic is the only good thing about this place. New and pretty but I wouldn’t send my enemy here. Made my mother wait in the bathroom for hours, made her feel lazy when she couldn’t lift her legs into bed, yet this is a rehab facility. Multiple times had to call nursing because the wrong amount of meds were disbursed. Only good thing was PT and OT, everyone else just punches a clock and if they don’t want to work with people who need rehab, find another job.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Meticulously clean and beautiful facility. Only complaint from my father was late dinner (6-7 pm usually) and the food was always cold.

Daily update of care especially when there care is being monitored. I am very pleased with the way the rooms are decorated for comfort. My interactions so far with the staff has been good. I did appreciate when one of the nurses called me with a changed in medication. However I am very upset with the laundry service. Missing my relatives clothes and now I have go buy more and another chance for them to come up missing. They have to do better and especially when his name is on his clothes. No activity is needed at this time.

My brother is a resident of Regency at Westland for two weeks now. It's a nice place. I'm very satisfied with it. They take care of him. I like the room. It's very accommodating to him. It's a good room. It's a single room, it's private by himself, he has his own bathroom, and he is very satisfied with it, and I'm satisfied with it. He has access to dining services and exercise services, barber, salon, and doctors from another facility come in and provide additional care for him. It's a beautiful building. He is not participating in any activities, but they have activities available. He is not paying at this time; he is a veteran.
