I've been there on 2 different occasions visiting a family member and friend. The place is very nice and the staff were always pleasant. My grandmother was in the short-term rehab she praised how good most of the staff were to her. A few would go out their way to bring her food the food was not that great there, but they never take her money. There were short at times but I've realized that's common for most nursing homes sadly to say. My old friend was there for a couple weeks also she had a great experience as well, she keeps in contact with 1 or 2 employees from time to time. It's hard when you have love ones battling a sickness but having supportive family and employees around sure does help. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The rooms are spacious. They don’t go over 2 people per room. It’s a beautiful building. I definitely recommend touring the facility

Mold on the windows and in the heater vents, pee stains on the mattress. No star rating. My loved one is always left in pee and her bed. Her mattress was soaked with urine. If there are no improvements I will be reporting this to the state of MI. I have so many bad things to say but not enough room to write. The facility smells like urine when you walk in. The room has a sting urine smell and it’s unbearable to breathe. They don’t care about the patients. My Grandma health has declined she has never been in a nursing home before and they call her names they say she bad. My Grandma suffer from dementia and is scared and confounded. No compassion for the patients. This is 45 mins from my house I try to call and check up but they don’t answer. I called 3 times today they say they will transfer me to the nurse that’s caring for my Grandma but they don’t answer. You get transferred and it just rings. I am very disappointed in the living conditions my Grandma is living in and being cared for and the Guardian would keep her there.

There are some caring people there. Kwan and a few others genuinely care for their patients but others are awful. We've experienced the same issues as others, call lights going unanswered, squalid conditions in restrooms, once we complained about what appeared to be month old puke on my mom's wheelchair. Once after trying to get someone to answer the call light, after 45 minutes and 3 trips to the nurses station, one of the nurses (Vanessa, who hadn't moved from her computer screen the whole time) told me "I'll get it when I get it". Absolutely do not trust Jackie in the business office. They tried to take me to court over what they claimed was a 26 K balance that I owed, but it turned out it was the nursing homes clerical error and they owed me 4 k. I had to get a lawyer involved because they threatened to take away my medical power of attorney (against my mothers wishes). I tried to address this issue with them because of the anguish this caused me only to be hung up on by Cheyna the social worker. There should also be a rating worse than terrible for the food. I'm not a very good cook but I don't think I'm even capable of making food that's as bad as the food they serve.

My dad is dying a we were told that he had a few days left to be with us. So we go to the nursing home to be with my dad . But my dad has 5 children and they would only let 2 of go in at a time to be with r dad. When asked if it could be changed so he could see all of together one last time were told that the administrator made the rules and that they were in a meeting all day. How can a family say goodbye to a loved one like that it's like they don't care about the family they only want the money from the families.

Trying to contact this place on questions & cocerns is almost impossible. It is very frustrating to have a loved one in there and recieve calls from them telling you their Meds are not being given to them on a regular schedual. My question to them is "Why are her pain pills not being given to her on a regular schedual ?"...( inaccurate doesage and or not recieving pain pills should be a red flag in a facility where staff have access to med's )

Let my father fall twice while he was there for recovering from brain surgery! Smells like urine and no staff knows what’s going on!!!

Only giving one star because you have to give something…. Rehabilitation is just as much mental as it is physical and the treatment of patients in this place will cause anyone to lose hope and challenge their resilience. There is an overall lack of urgency and ingenuine concern for the well-being of patients. After arriving and getting her situated, I asked her nurse how long it would be until my sister received her next dose of meds, she told me she didn’t know! Her actual nurse! Not, I’ll check, let me look at her file, nothing. Flat out, I don’t know. With no plan of follow up or resolve to question about her meds! I asked her if she had ever suffered brain trauma she says…….“what does that have to do with anything?” My sister came to this facility for sub-acute rehab after suffering a massive stroke and having brain surgery. Meaning she was a major fall risk and her bed, that we reported, was never fixed! AND she literally fell out of this bed! Hit her head, was rushed back to ER and is now back in Neuro ICU! This was within one week of her being there! My sister was left lying on the floor until my mom and I finally reached someone on the phone to get to her room! This post would be extremely long if I detailed the disregard of actual care. Multiple times, my sister was left unattended for well over an hour after pressing her call light. I was never able to get a clear plan/ schedule of her therapy. The nurses do not communicate well. At all. They had a very passive lack of empathy during my conversations so I could only imagine how they disregard the patients. A different time, I was literally told “that it was shift change so there was nothing that could be done after my sister call light had been on over an hour! Bottom line, do not send your love ones here. Especially if the plan is for actual rehabilitation. There is no compassion. Nothing is genuine about this place.

They should be ashamed of this facility. Family member went to rehab here and ended up with a severe UTI -- No excuses accepted. The staff just doesn't care at all. HORRIBLE

TERRIBLE NURSES & MANAGEMENT!! They leave their patients dirty and sitting in their mess for HOURS on end! They don't answer their phone and are as rude as can be when they do!! Would highly not recommend this disaster of a place.

Extremely poor service. This facility appeared to look good on the outside and in the lobby. I read many decent and good reviews prior to admitting my mother for short term rehab. We were shocked once we actually got into the patient area. It was obvious that the facility was understaffed and staffed with mostly poor performing employees. Many patients were left in wheelchairs sitting in the hall ways unattended, some were pushed closer to an employee area so they could be watched. As a new patient, my mother was not given any welcome information, no explanation of how to use the services available did not provide a wheelchair for use failed to provide medication when needed, did not respond to nurse call button..... I could go on. We attempted to discuss our concerns with staff but was greeted with rude behavior and poor responses. The facility manager did not even respond to listen to our concerns! The nurse admin was rude argumentative and did not respond to our needs. Something as simple as requesting additional pillows to aid a broken arm in bed was not fulfilled. Do not go hear and do not subject any loved one to this treatment!!!

My mom is at medilodge right now for rehabilitation. It is Terrible there! I am up there off & on from 7am to 9:30 pm. With continuous problems. This is her third week. Today she was at breakfast already. On her plate.... One egg, one biscuit, no jelly , no butter. Oatmeal.... Which I continue to tell them she does not like or want. They had bacon & hash browns.... But mom didn't nor did the 3 men at her table..... So who eats it??? In the middle of breakfast, mom needs to use the restroom. So...Back to her room we go....she also needs her Depends changed. In her drawer "youth size small" Depends are all she has....Really??? The aid said "I" not " her" could go up to the laundry area to get a better size. Up there they could barely scrape together a day's supply in size small or medium!! I get back to mom finishing up her breakfast & notice" why doesn't she have her hearing aid in??? I head back again to the room to retrieve it. NO Hearing Aid!!! I had just called the night before to make sure they didn't crush her pills & asked that they open the battery section to the aid to save on the battery & to make sure her teeth were out soaking for the night! The girl said " oh! I didn't know she had false teeth!! She's 97 yrs. old. Last Saturday I was unable to go up for breakfast or lunch but arrived at 1:20 pm for a visit. She said she barely ate & was hungry. I guess so!!! They never put her teeth in to eat! She barely knew what had been going on for the entire time she was there & I questioned her meds. Asked that they not give her so much high blood pressure meds(1 time instead of 3) like her family dr. Ordered. I asked for her meds list which they FINALLY produced. Last Thursday mom told me they had been crushing her pills before administrating. OMG!! Some were "TIME RELEASED!! That's why she has been so comatose!! Really!!! She could have been dead!!!

It was suggested to that my mom needed two more weeks after leaving the hospital for sub acute rehab at a nursing facility. After taking a tour of several and reading reviews I chose the medi lodge of Taylor. Worst mistake I could have made. From the fiasco of the admit to the short staff who spend most of there time hanging outside at the nurses station chatting to one another as opposed to taking care of the elderly. Since my mom has been here over the last 11 days I have spent more time bathing her and getting her ready than any of the staff. For a nursing home that is 24/7 for extended care they ate the worst possible place for a love one. My mom already has had diarrhea twice in the last week and as the aids and nurses congregate outside her room she has heard that multiple residents were sick at same time. So either the food they are being fed is contaminated or just the uncleanliness of the building especially her bathroom has led to the issues. Even after reaching out to several staff members including administration they either can't be bothered to follow up or just don't plain care. For the sake and safety of your love ones DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! As I am here everyday I have seen my mom push the light for nurse or aid the quickest time for someone to check on her has been twenty to thirty minutes. They actually left her on the toilet for over an hour because they just plain forgot.! I cannot stress enough to find someplace else and do your research!!!!!!!

Medilodge is a place that my mother was doing rehab before, and in the last year, it has been totally remodeled and brand new. It has switched owners. From what I can see, the place is pretty well run with lots of people working there. She has been there just yesterday, and so far so good. They have short stay rooms and long term stay rooms, and she is going to be there long term. The rooms are real nice, and everything there is brand new. They could probably go try to take their food that they are serving a little bit healthier. It seems like there’s a lot of canned things there, and it’s not good.

I got my mom transferred to a nursing facility named Medilodge of Taylor. I checked out a bunch of nursing homes, and this is very convenient to where we are living. They have the services she needed. The rooms are very good. The rooms are not actually quite done yet because they are under construction. The whole wing where she will be staying is brand new. She's got her own room, so that is nice. They offer a lot of activities, but she is at a point with her Alzheimer's and Dementia that she is not able to do much. They got her in physical therapy and are working on her as much as they can. I'm very happy with them.

My aunt is in Medilodge of Taylor. We chose it because it is close and the doctor recommended it. It is not a typical nursing home. It is well taken care of. There's a lot of caretakers in the center just to keep it nice The staff is very caring and involved with the patients. They know my aunt, and they appear to take good care of her. They are in the process of redoing the rooms. My aunt is in a very nice remodeled room, but since they are remodeling, it is a shared room. It has its own bathroom. I have eaten there, and the food is sometimes good and sometimes bad. They have activities like bingo, card games, and other games. They go shopping to stores or they go out to dinner. They have an activities room where the residents can come watch TV, talk to other residents, or do puzzles. I see that there is an effort to get the residents out of their rooms. Overall, it is a nice place, and my aunt likes it there. I would absolutely recommend them to others.

My dad was in Medilodge of Taylor for about a month. He was pleased which made the entire experience much more pleasant for all of us. The staff was friendly and helpful. Being a nurse, I had certain expectations but also had an understanding of nursing homes and staff responsibilities. Overall, when there was an issue, it was promptly addressed (ie. pain meds). I stayed in constant contact with my dad, called and spoke to the nurse at least twice a week (I live in AZ), knew the CNAs by name and made several requests as we were very proactive in my dad's recovery. My dad's biggest complaint was the food wasn't 5-star, but he wasn't there as a food critique. Nursing/PT/OT for rehab, strengthening and balance and Medilodge of Taylor did a great job in meeting his goals. Very pleased and had no regrets for taking him there for his acute rehab. At ANY facility, it makes a difference if the family is involved! They worked well with us to make sure that my dad's care was good and his experience was a positive one. If he ever had to return somewhere, Medilodge of Taylor would be the one on our list.

my experience at this nursing home was pleasant. the nursing home was nice. the building was clean. the resident was very sweet. i walked thru the entire building and every one was so peaceful. the staff made sure every one was fed, clean and they made sure the building stayed cleaned. i liked the way the residents rooms was set up really nice with big windows. they really know how to make a person feel at home there. they really take care of there residents. i really enjoyed my visit there and if i had a love that really needed some help getting around and making sure they are ok i would really choose this place it was very amazing with the most amazing staff
