My mother has dementia/Alzheimers. She was in this group foster home with five other residence for 16 months. The owner promised when we moved her in that she would have stimulation, physical and mentially. She said that the residence were allowed to go in the yard and tend flowers and that everyday they had craft activities. This was not true. Their physical activities are curtailed many time with a clip to the chair. Rarey inside and never outside activities. They were sit in front of a TV or at the kitchen table with nothing stimulating to do. Our mother became more withdrawn and having a hard time walking We found out more and more with surprise visits and moved her to more stimulating facility. She now has PT at her new place to help her walk again and is speaking more now.
