Edgewood is by far the best assisted living in Saginaw. They not only have a full time nurse and on call nurse, they have nurses that work as supervisors and medication technicians as well. The dining room service is above average. Mother gets to order from an actual menu just like she is at a restaurant, and the Chef even comes out to see if the residents are happy. The Administrator Krystyna is a nurse and gives her cell phone number out, and will actually answer it and talk to you if needed after hours and weekends. They have a manager on shift every weekend and weekdays till 8 at night. The housekeeping staff is amazing, Jackie the manager makes sure my moms clothes are never washed with any other residents and the building always is clean and smells fresh. Edgewood has a warm home inviting atmosphere. The activities they provide are amazing! They have live music once a week, Bingo, art, cooking class, happy hour, sewing class, mens club, book club, taste test Tuesday and so much more. They even allow pets. The man by my mom has a dog! I highly recommend Edgewood, it’s a great place.

I visited Edgewood and it's very nice. Everything is smaller. The food is good there, though. I really didn't interact with the staff, just the person showing me around.

We found Edgewood for my friend and she has moved in last November. We chose for what it offered and it was geographically close. The place is very, very nice. It is esthetically decorated. The staff who work there is very nice and the management is great. When I took my friend for a visit, she met all the people that are heads of different departments. They have three different kinds of apartments and my friend has a studio bedroom which is pretty adequate for her needs. They do have a dining room that serves three meals a day. I did not personally try the foot, but my friend says she loves it.

First of all, I would like to say that this facility was warm and inviting to both myself, family and especially my grandmother. We were able to all get together for a day and tour Edgewood Assisted Living Center to try and decide if this would be an adequate place for her to stay after she has been slowly not able to care for all of her daily needs by herself. My grandmother would have her own room and also access to laundry devices, if needed. Also, all of her meals would be included with the plan that she was looking at getting. What helped us to make the decision was the fact that she would be cared for by medical professions and access to emergency medical treatment, if something should ever happen. She is now living there and says that she feels this is a good place for her to learn how to adjust to allowing others to do some of the caring for her. She has made many good friends. The only negative I could think of would be the price of living, but this would most likely be the case with most assisted living centers. Thank you for reading my comments.

It seemed almost like a hospital but the nurses seemed to be nice and my grandmother did not have many complaints. So overall I would say it was a good facility.

I was always impressed by the way my Great Grandfather was treated in his Assisted Living Home. The staff was always friendly and attentive. My Great Grandfather regularly took walks, and became involved in events taking place in the center. For quite some time, he chose to make his own breakfast and lunch, and just go to the dining hall for dinner. This was a great transition for the stubborn, independent man we loved. As he got older and needed more assistance, the staff was more than happy to accommodate. I believe this was a very positive place for my Great Grandpa to live.

My Grandparents moved in to Edgewood Assisted Living Center in 2004, after experiencing difficulties in their home. Initailly they were not pleased to be there, even though the staff and director were very friendly. The facility is very clean, and inviting. There are many opportunities to socialize with other residents, as well as opportunities to have family and friends visit. There is a beauty salon, on site, which my Grandmother enjoyed. The staff was curteous and friendly, and seemed to know everyone on a personal level. When my Grandfather's health worsend, he had to be moved to the memory care wing. He received quality care there as well. The only down side was that my Grandmother couldn't stay in his room with him. It made her very lonely, even more so because he was forgetting her much more quickly because she wasn't able to be with him as much.I always felt welcome visiting my Grandparents, and my children enjoyed visiting them as well.Edgewood was a welcome place, during a difficult transition in my Grandparents lives.
