The people and care are the reasons we picked Wyndham West and Directors Hall for my parents. They interacted with Mom, brought her coffee every day, helped her with daily routines and genuinely enjoyed talking with her. You could tell they cared for her, kept us informed of any mishaps and encouraged her to participate in the activities.

I live close by the Heritage Community and so I was able to have a tour in the facility. The place was nice. The staff seemed very friendly and attentive with what they are doing. They were also compassionate. They have different activities like they have music, church services; pretty much anything that a resident wants. She has dementia so they were really focused on memory activities and things that would stimulate the brain activity. They also do what they call a friendship approach. They basically assign one person to be that specific resident's friend.

We really like Wyndham West for my mother. The people are very, very friendly and they have a lot of activities and the people are very busy so they are going to have more stuff. I think it is a good place. The first room we put her in was great. It had two bedroom and two bath, living room a kitchen but then she has gotten where she can't see at all and so now she has moved into a higher assisted living and it is just one room, but it's very clean. They keep it up really nice. She really doesn’t like one room.

My father lives not in Wyndham West but in the independent living section of Wyndham and the community there is just extraordinary. The staff are what make it unusual. I don't live in town, unfortunately, but can always talk to the staff as well as my father to find out exactly how he is doing. They have showed geniune care for him and gone above and beyond to make sure he thrives there. There are lots of excursions, excellent visiting artists and lectures, as well as card games and social activities there. My father was a professor and he has loved the stimulating atmosphere there and the company of the other residents.

The rooms at Wyndham West were small. It seemed well-kept. The staff looked friendly and nice.
