I liked Luther Place Apartment Homes. It had all the programs we needed. We looked at one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, and they were both very nice. The community room and the activities were very good, but we are on a waitlist and wanted to move as soon as possible. They didn't serve meals, but they had Meals on Wheels that come in, or you can cook your own meals. They provide transportation to the grocery stores and other places. Laundry was provided in the room.

My husband and I have been residents of this place for 10 years until he passed away 2 years ago. This is purely an independent living facility where you can bring outside help like an in home care service. They only offer us activities which was enormous before but now down to a minimum. They have meals on wheels that we can order but we can choose a food program from the outside if we prefer. What I dislike and maybe 90% of the residents feel the same way is how the management runs the place. They treat us like inferior human beings. The apartments are nice but the maintenance work is not addressed in a timely manner. This is only one of the many reasons why it's already disappointing to live here.
