Trail Creek Place

My sister is at Trail Creek Place. It's very good. It's very clean. The staff is caring and conscientious. They know all the residents, take care of them, and they're very communicative. I very much like the place. They have entertainment. They do quizzes and games in a group setting. They do art. They do light calisthenics. There's a wide variety of activities.

I went to look at Trail Creek Place. Everything looked clean and nice. They had nice furniture. It seemed like they have good staff, and that's important too. They have outings. The rooms were one bedroom, and it looks nice. It had a small kitchen and a living room.

We toured Trail Creek Place. The people were very friendly. It was obvious that the staff were kind of a family and they got along very well. The building was just older, but it had a good feel. It felt homey and comforting, not like sterile institutions. I saw that the residents were happy. We saw an air hockey table and darts there. We looked at the menu. They also have a food committee that meets and does an open forum that the residents can come to. They discuss the food they like and the food they don't like. They had slightly larger rooms, and they were designed a little more efficiently compared to the other ones we visited. The staff was terrific. They introduced us to the maintenance people, the hairdressers, and the cleaners.

We went to look at Trail Creek Place. The room they showed for us was just too small for a couple. I thought for a single person (for myself), it would be just perfect. But for both my husband and I, I just didn't think that the room was large enough for the two of us. The facility was nice and clean. The staff was very nice. She really went out of the way to get information for us, as far as the cost and everything. She was trying to get us some money to help us with the cost of the unit. I did see a calendar that had activities. They have bingo, games, arts and crafts that they could do. I saw that they would bring in entertainment for the patients to keep them busy and stuff.

The staff at Trail Creek Place was very knowledgeable. She had additional ideas for me, too. She was very good. It's one level and it's set up in a square. You can just walk around the whole area and it's very easy. You wouldn't get lost walking around the place or moving from place to place. They had exercise equipment, and the barber shop was there. The barber/hairdresser has recently retired, so they were looking for a new one. The garden was very nice. It was inside the square and there's a lot of outdoor seats. You could easily go out onto the patio, and it had tables and chairs set out there, and that's where we were conversing.
