My aunt was at Lutheran Life Villages at Anthony Boulevard. We hated it, that's why we moved her out; they were terrible. The staff were uncaring and careless. They gave my aunt the wrong medicine, so we needed to get her out of there. She hated it and we didn't like it either.
I never got to see her apartment. She never got out of quarantine because they kept having positive cases, so they kept extending her quarantine. I never got to see her regular room.
It was terrible trying to get straight information from them. We didn't like anything about this place. The food was cold and horrible, I wouldn't feed animals what they feed them sometimes. It was that bad. There would be things on the floor and their aides would come and go but they didn't bother picking anything up. They didn't do any cleaning, really. It was just a very careless place. They were also very expensive.
The only great thing about them, and it was really good, was that they had a holiday house, which was a trailer with Christmas decorations, and staff we could get visiting appointments from. We'd meet her in the trailer and staff would bring her out in a wheelchair. That's really the best thing about the place.
It's probably more of a skilled nursing facility. I would call that section skilled nursing because they put her in the rehab unit and called that quarantine. She never got out of her chair. They took care of her meds and they did everything.
