"I visited StoryPoint Fort Wayne North. The tour experience was very positive. I just thought, for us, it was too expensive. The layout of the place was very nice. The upkeep and cleanliness are first class and first rate. Their staff is first class, too. I tried the food; it was wonderful."

"My mother is at Park Place Senior Living. The rooms are nice, they are also updating and she really likes her 1-bedroom apartment. The staff is very nice, too. The food is not so good, but it is improving. They have lots of activities like Zumba done in their chair, bingo, happy hour, and movies. There are a couple of things on the calendar every single day. They take them places to go out to lunch, and they vote on where they want to go. The main areas need to be updated a lot."

"I had an in-person tour of Betz Senior Villas. The community did appeal to me. I would call it a duplex, like two houses connected. There are some nice walking paths that appealed to me. As far as the building itself, there's one bedroom and two bedrooms. I thought they were nicely laid out and not so small that I would feel claustrophobic. They all came with appliances, like a dishwasher, a stove, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a washer and dryer. Their rent is connected to your income. There is no staff, but there's somebody on the premises all the time. The person who showed me around simply manages the place. There's a nice little outdoor area with a small pond. They don't have empty units to let you tour. They just have a resident who agrees to allow people to tour her particular living unit."

"Provena Sacred Heart was really nice. I would recommend it to anybody. They had activities for people, and they interacted with the people. They really had nice private apartments and nice kitchens. The people working there were really friendly, not just to us, but to the people living there. It was some place that I would want my parents to go to, but if I ever needed it, I would want to there. "I've chosen The Towne House for my sister-in-law because principally, my wife and I both live here also. We have a very caring staff, 24-hour nursing support in the whole area, and a very good activities director. It's just a pretty place to live. The meals start about 6:30 or 7:00 in the morning in the cafe that's for breakfast and lunch, and then in the evening, there's a formal dining room. They finish up about 7:30 maybe, so there are three full meals available every day, but there's a meal allowance as part of our monthly fee, and the food is OK. They used to do it all in-house, then about a year ago, they outsourced it, and we're still trying to understand how that all works. My sister-in-law has a two-bedroom apartment on the first floor with a living room, kitchen, and two bathrooms. The place is very homey. My wife and I do some cooking on our own, while her sister does some as well, however, we usually go up to the dining room at least once a day to eat either lunch or dinner, depending on what looks good. They published the schedule a week in advance so we can see what the special is for the day, although there's an ala carte menu that you can choose from as well. I still drive and have a car, so we order groceries from a local grocery store online and then we'll pick them up once a week and bring them back. They play a lot of card games here and bingo once or twice a week. There's a game room with two billiard tables and a small movie theater that holds about 30 people and where we watch movies once a week. We have an in-house cable channel that runs information daily, both as a bulletin board type of thing, and also they run movies and other events on it. They have two buses that take people shopping once a week. Since we have our own car, we don't do that, but we were all out for dinner Thursday night at a local restaurant. There's a semi-monthly women's luncheon and there's a monthly men's luncheon. There's volunteer activities and we have a semi-monthly volunteer lunch. We're finally going to have a welcoming event for all the people that have arrived recently. So, we have a party and get together and get to know them. It's just overall a great place to live, and The Town House is actually a charitable operation. It is part of a corporation called BHI Inc. and it originally started out as a church based facility, and so it's a nonprofit."

"We liked Arbor Glen. It's great across the board. It was excellent. The people that we talked to were very friendly. They seemed to meet all of the needs my brother would have had. The lady that took us on the tour answered all our questions. She was very helpful in letting us know what was available. We're very well pleased. There seemed to be quite a bit that he could've been able to do if he had stayed there. It's easy to access to everything. The cleanliness was perfect."

"My friend is in the Golden Years Homestead. I have talked to some residents. There are a couple that I have known for several years, who just moved their homes in the last few months. The outside is definitely a five. It's very, very nice with lots of trees around it. It has nice shade as well. It's one of those places that you look at and you say, oh, just relax and enjoy. The people I know there have said they haven't found a place more friendly than it, and the staff is great. They were very pleased that they found the place. The activities were much more to their liking, and they enjoyed them. They were well pleased. I can only say that they're very clean, and they have excellent cleaning staff. They didn't have anything bad at all to say about them. I found the staff to be very helpful and always see them with a smile on their face. When you ask them a question, they know the answer. They are very helpful, very engaging, and very honest."

"Georgetown Apartments was a very nice place. You have to be totally capable of doing everything. They provide meals, recreation, and a room and help in keeping it clean. It's totally senior help. I only met one person there, and she's very friendly and knowledgeable. I have friends living there. It fits their needs and they love it. It's very good. "

"I will be moving into Heritage Park Assisted Living & Garden Homes. It's very convenient, friendly, and welcoming. The staff was very kind, courteous, and helpful. Utilities are paid for. They had a lovely dining room and a chapel. The area around it was light and there were lots of trees and hopefully birds. The dining area was very nice and looked welcoming and clean. Everything about it was good and it was clean."

"The Yellow Retirement Communities is very clean. Everybody takes care of their little area. The community takes care of the snow plowing, mowing, and all the outside stuff. It's very nice. We found a 2-bedroom, one bathroom, and it's a little over 1100 square feet. The staff is very nice. They answered all the questions that we needed to be answered. They were forthright with telling us anything we needed to know or didn't know and how they took care of the water, the sewer, and the garbage. There is a washer and dryer in each apartment. They are all individual apartments. It's a regular apartment complex, but they are single-story homes. They've got one bedroom and two bedrooms with different floor plans. They don't offer any activities. If you just need to get into a smaller place, and you can still do everything you need to do, or at least most of everything you can do, it's the place to go in Fort Wayne. There are restaurants and shopping close by."

"I'm going to Quail Ridge Villas. I went there last year, and I was there again today. I liked the complete setup; it's very new and very nicely decorated. They have a lot of amenities. I can use the swimming pool and recreation equipment, I can have my own garden, and it's the kind of community where I like to be. It's out in the country and it's what I'm used to, and that's very important to me. They have different kinds of living arrangements, all independent. Some of them are villas and some are separate, two-bedroom apartments with an attached garage. They have a high-rise, senior-living complex, they have two-to-three-bedroom homes that you can rent, and it's all laid out in a beautiful place."

"The resident rooms are spacious, very nice wall & carpet colors. The whole facility is well maintained, new & tastefully decorated for a comfortable environment. The staff are qualified, friendly & helpful. Residents have art class & bingo, church services & other games, more activities are coming & monthly fun themes that are celebrated. The residents are well cared for, hospice is allowed, it is a safe serene environment. My dad received hospice care thru a separate organization that came in. Caregivers are very compassionate & knowledgeable. The Director helps with any concerns we have & resolves them."
