"Overall, the appearance of this facility is excellent. There is none of the odor usually associated with this type of home. Employees for the most part seem to caring individuals. Housekeeping services are excellent. Food quality is the dining room is available from an excellent menu, and is of restaurant quality.I had a little difficulty getting return phone calls when I tried to make inquiries of the nurses on stall, but it was minimal.There are a wide variety of activities and excursions available to the residents, and seems to be very well organized.My uncle is a retired priest, and daily mass was available in a chapel on site. "

"I went to The Village at Anthony Boulevard. I thought it was very well kept, the outside and the inside. I saw some of the community areas. I saw the community center. They have a little fitness center with physical therapy and occupational therapy. And they were all very good. The staff member who showed me around was very helpful, and very informative. I liked the wide variety of amenities, and also the chapel service every day."

"We take my mother to Lutheran Life Village Birchwood two times a week, which is private pay and we're very well pleased with them. They're a very good organization here in Allen County. They got four different facilities around the area and this facility specializes in dementia and Alzheimer's condition. Overall, we are very well pleased. It is only two years old and they offer daycare from 6:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon, and every other Saturday. They offer lunch meal and bathing services for the visitors, which is primarily why we bring our mother there. I don't have the facilities to give a handicapped person a bath here in my house, and her home is in need of repair. We take her there for bathing purposes and socialization, and a little time away from my house, which gives me a little break also. Overall, everything is in A+ condition. I'm very well satisfied. "

"The Village of Heritage staff works hard to give their home a cheerful feeling. It is seasonally decorated, and has seasonal activities. Meals are very good; when I visit my family member I have sometimes eaten in the dining room, which is restaurant style, open seating. It makes meals pleasant. The staff are very cheerful, caring and knowledgeable. They seem alert to changes in patients' condition; they communicate this appropriately to the family as well as supervisors. Most of all, they are truly caring and helpful, being very calm with people who are impatient, forgetful or upset. The total staff, including maintenance and kitchen crew all seem to be well trained and have their heart in their work.The facility has a large family meeting room, with games for kids and a TV, a room for crafts, and a nice dining room. In addition, there is a seperate room for parties, if families wish to hold parties and get togethers at the facility. A bus with a wheelchair lift is available for outings and shopping trips, as well as medical appointments. A doctor comes to the facility regularly. The local community supports this nursing home with lots of community involvement. Musical groups and church groups come to perform. Since it is a smalll town, a person can come in and visit 2 or 3 old neighbors together in one of the public areas of the home, or outside in nice weather in one of the gazebos. Residents are encouraged to have bird feeders, etc, outside their window. The grounds are nicely landscaped and there is a wheel chair acessible path through the grounds. Efforts have been successfully made to make this as pleasant a place as possible. "
