"The apartment they showed me at River Terrace Retirement Community was a very nice one. The kitchen was not very big but then I didn't need that big of a kitchen. It had one bedroom, a walk-in shower, and a bathroom. The living room and the bedroom were both a nice size. I didn't talk to many of the staff, but the manager was very nice and very helpful. The housekeeper was running around there doing things, and there was a young man that I'm assuming was part of maintenance. The place looked like it was in great condition and was being cared for."

"Vancrest Assisted Living is a nursing home I am very familiar with. I have a family member who is a resident here and my family and I visit her often. Their grounds and facilities are very well kept. The inside is spacious and has personal rooms, a cafeteria, and many rooms for activities. There are several open areas for games or visiting, a chapel room, and other rooms for meeting, watching communal television and other visiting type activities. The nurses who work at Vancrest are extremely skilled at their jobs. They meet every resident with a smile and are always around to help with anything one could need. My grandmother has met many friends here and been able to enjoy a social life even while being sometimes bedridden. Vancrest often has people from the community come out. Children from the elementary, middle, and high school, people from salons, restaurants, stores and other respected spots come to Vancrest . My family and I have always been very happy with all the service we have received from Vacrest Assisted Living. "

"We toured The Village at Anthony Boulevard. It was very clean, and the staff was very nice, helpful, informative, and answered all our questions. They gave us a tour of the place. The people there seemed happy, they were dancing in their little community room. It's a very nice place. I haven't tried their meals but the cafeteria looked very nice and very large. The tour was good."

"My mother was in Lutheran Homes for rehab. She was there for 3 weeks, and it's extremely positive. They had private rooms, the food was cooked from scratch, and the meals were very well planned. The health care is great there, and there's a waiting list all the time to get in there. They pay attention to detail, it's very clean, very friendly, and the food is great. She had physical therapy and nursing care. She had a large, private room, like 2 rooms plus the bath. There was an area for company, TV, table next to the bed, there was a couch and a chair for both the staff and the residents. You won't be stuck in the bed all day. Lutheran is well known in the community for years. It's very clean."

"They treated mother very well at Laurels of Shane Hill. They are very caring and very responsive to her needs and in letting us know how they are taking care of her and how she’s doing. The rooms are very nice and spacious. It is not a brand new facility, but it’s always very nice and very clean. Her meals are very good. She goes to Bingo twice a week, they have cooking, and a guy comes in with a taped musical video and played lots of different songs "

"She checked into Genesis Healthcare last April because of recurring urinary tract infections. The place was exceptionally clean and they gave her a special room because of her dialysis equipment. Overall, they were very good but training is needed by some of the staff for her dialysis. "

"Everything at Golden Years Homestead was positive. Everything was in one building. It included everything my mom would need as far as the utilities, food, and nurses on duty. One of the main things that we liked about this particular facility was that they also had a nursing home, and that's kind of one of her priorities. Once she does move, she has nursing home access if needed. And at Golden Years, you're a priority at the nursing home. So, that is very important to us. There was transportation available. There was a nurse on staff 24 hours. Church service was available, as well. There was a cafeteria available too."

"The Alzheimer's Unit (Memory Care Unit) is excellent. Spacious rooms, nice dining area. The nurses, CNAs, and all of the staff at this facility are absolutely wonderful. My mother has been there just two weeks, and while the transition from the hospital was difficult, the staff was so helpful and supportive. My mother is iroving and actually participating in her treatment. The physical therapy room is the best of all 12 of the facilities I visited that take Alzheimer's patients in Fort Wayne, In. We are very happy to have chosen this place. "

"I liked the room accommodations that we saw at Byron Health Center and that they had employees bring their dogs in so the residents could comfort them. I also liked their outdoor space. They have a general living room area and a dining area. They also had a room that they could go into to use the computer or TV by themselves or in a group."

"My sister has moved into Heritage Park. I like the setting with the trails and the availability of the cafeteria and just the apartment itself was nice with the garage. The staff was very hospitable. I like the staff real well. From what I've seen so far, it's very clean and well taken care of."
