Everything at Golden Years Homestead was positive. Everything was in one building. It included everything my mom would need as far as the utilities, food, and nurses on duty. One of the main things that we liked about this particular facility was that they also had a nursing home, and that's kind of one of her priorities. Once she does move, she has nursing home access if needed. And at Golden Years, you're a priority at the nursing home. So, that is very important to us. There was transportation available. There was a nurse on staff 24 hours. Church service was available, as well. There was a cafeteria available too.

Golden Years Homestead was nice. The staff was really nice. It's a very clean place. The rooms were clean, and they had big bathrooms. My mom was there for a while. She liked the food there, and they had a nice variety. The place was nice in size and very modern looking. They had a big recreation area. The nursing staff was nice. They made sure mom got everything, and they took care of her. Because of Covid, it was kind of still locked down to a point. They're very caring people. The staff was good.

We toured Golden Years Homestead. It was excellent. The staff was very helpful and very informative. They were ready to accommodate whatever we needed. They offer meals, they have a lady who runs a barbershop/beauty-salon-type thing, and they have activities and trips. It's very nice.

The assisted living apartments of Golden Years were very nice. They furnished the appliances, but you need to provide the furniture. They had an exercise room, a library, and a chapel.

My sister was a resident within the nursing home for approximately nine months. During this time she was very well taken care of by all the staff. The facility has a very structured schedule that accommodated her needs as well as the needs of our family. During this time we had additional staff that we hired to come in and care for my sister also. The staff was very accepting to this but never neglected their own duties. They provided daily entertainment such as crafts, games, movies and etc. Meals were made according to each person's ability to eat and special diets.Currently she now lives in an apartment within the assisted living complex and is very happy in her own home. She still enjoys attending events at the nursing home. All employees are very polite and friendly. When you are there, you are not just another resident but a person with needs and feelings.
