"My relative has moved into Autumn Trace Columbia City. She's been there for about four weeks and things are going really well. It was closer to family. The people that work there are phenomenal. During the move-in, they went above and beyond. We had a couple of glitches because we lived so far away, but they were very, very accommodating. My husband said the food was very good, and my relative likes it. She says it's good. They have a menu and she has a copy of it in her room. It's very clean, very inviting, and a very nice place. We've looked at a studio and a one-bedroom and they were fine. I've been to some of the activities. They have outings to movies, stores, they had a root beer float afternoon, and they had games in the courtyard. There are lots of activities. We looked at many facilities and this one was very affordable."

"I'm going to Quail Ridge Villas. I went there last year, and I was there again today. I liked the complete setup; it's very new and very nicely decorated. They have a lot of amenities. I can use the swimming pool and recreation equipment, I can have my own garden, and it's the kind of community where I like to be. It's out in the country and it's what I'm used to, and that's very important to me. They have different kinds of living arrangements, all independent. Some of them are villas and some are separate, two-bedroom apartments with an attached garage. They have a high-rise, senior-living complex, they have two-to-three-bedroom homes that you can rent, and it's all laid out in a beautiful place."

"Our overall experience with Five Star Residences of Fort Wayne has been excellent. We chose to move Mom there, because this was in an area that she was already familiar with, and there were a couple of people there that she already knew. So, that was beneficial. Her living arrangement is a one-bedroom apartment inside of a building, so it's very nice. There's plenty of private living space and storage. It has a very small kitchenette area with a refrigerator and a microwave, which is already enough since it's a full dining service. The location of the dining room and the sites where entertainment happens are very convenient. They have a garden club, a nice movie room, a calendar full of activities that includes card playing and entertainers that come in, like local musicians. They have a lot going on and they have a shuttle that takes them to a few stores weekly if you choose to. She seems to like the food, too."

"In 2018, my mother was at Coventry Meadows. She was in memory care when she died. Everything would be a 5 except the food. They did a great job with memory care. Their staff was very good, and they had good communication with the family. They had some things to help their memory, and they could participate in the assisted living activities if they were able, and I appreciated that. She never did participate, but that's a good feature. They can go on a field trip, or they can go up to the main level where they had concerts or whatever. They had a little bit coming in there, but they opened that up, which I think was a good thing because it gave mom more options. The layout was good. It's kinda weird though because you had to go around the back of the building to the backdoor to get in the memory care, but it was a nice-looking building. It was simple but clean."

"I went to Grace Village, it was a very nice place. We were looking at independent living at that time. They had very nice rooms, my mother was looking at a 1-bedroom. I know they have studios, they have 1-bedrooms, probably 2-bedrooms, and independent cottages or duplex-type areas. Their food is excellent, they showed us a library, I think they had a beauty salon and a fitness room too. The staff was fine as far as showing us everything, sitting down going over the information with us, and giving us information to take with us."

"We toured Peabody Community. The staff was very friendly, very helpful and very welcoming. They had a little welcome sign for me and my family. It was so good that they were thinking of us and took the time to make an effort for us. The facility was very nice, big, and offered a lot of things. Besides assisted living, they had rehab or memory care or the nursing home all in the same complex. If my mother-in-law had to go into memory care and her husband could stay in the assisted living, they would be right there together, which would be very nice. "

"The Yellow Retirement Communities is very clean. Everybody takes care of their little area. The community takes care of the snow plowing, mowing, and all the outside stuff. It's very nice. We found a 2-bedroom, one bathroom, and it's a little over 1100 square feet. The staff is very nice. They answered all the questions that we needed to be answered. They were forthright with telling us anything we needed to know or didn't know and how they took care of the water, the sewer, and the garbage. There is a washer and dryer in each apartment. They are all individual apartments. It's a regular apartment complex, but they are single-story homes. They've got one bedroom and two bedrooms with different floor plans. They don't offer any activities. If you just need to get into a smaller place, and you can still do everything you need to do, or at least most of everything you can do, it's the place to go in Fort Wayne. There are restaurants and shopping close by."

"I have moved into Courts of Colfax. It's been wonderful. It's within walking distance of the supermarket and my pharmacy, and they're doing upgrades that are really fantastic. I'm on the ground floor. I have a lovely patio, and I'm able to plant flowers and shrubs and enjoy walking outside, sitting on my patio, and having coffee in the morning. It's very nice. So far, the staff has been very congenial and efficient. They do not serve food, but they have catering. In fact, we're having a community-wide dinner on Thursday. Everything has been perfect. It's clean. I feel very safe and secure. I'm quite satisfied with the room. Most of the time, the residents do their own activities. There's card playing, coloring, church service, and Bible studies. I'm just really pleased with everything. The residents are very accepting and open. I'm on assistance, and I cannot complain about anything. I'm excited about their upcoming upgrade. There will be new appliances and new flooring. I haven't found anything disagreeable in the apartment I'm in. It's well maintained."

"Sacred Heart is one of the best I have experienced. It is very clean and does not have the offensive odor often encountered in nursing homes. The staff is very caring and professional. They make sure the residents have different activities such as Bingo, bringing in entertainers, interacting with local school children. There is a kitchen with a dining room that is very pleasant. There is also a beauty shop where the residents are taken frequently. There is a chapel with services for different religions. Overall this nursing home ranks as the best I personally have visited. "

"I've chosen The Towne House for my sister-in-law because principally, my wife and I both live here also. We have a very caring staff, 24-hour nursing support in the whole area, and a very good activities director. It's just a pretty place to live. The meals start about 6:30 or 7:00 in the morning in the cafe that's for breakfast and lunch, and then in the evening, there's a formal dining room. They finish up about 7:30 maybe, so there are three full meals available every day, but there's a meal allowance as part of our monthly fee, and the food is OK. They used to do it all in-house, then about a year ago, they outsourced it, and we're still trying to understand how that all works. My sister-in-law has a two-bedroom apartment on the first floor with a living room, kitchen, and two bathrooms. The place is very homey. My wife and I do some cooking on our own, while her sister does some as well, however, we usually go up to the dining room at least once a day to eat either lunch or dinner, depending on what looks good. They published the schedule a week in advance so we can see what the special is for the day, although there's an ala carte menu that you can choose from as well. I still drive and have a car, so we order groceries from a local grocery store online and then we'll pick them up once a week and bring them back. They play a lot of card games here and bingo once or twice a week. There's a game room with two billiard tables and a small movie theater that holds about 30 people and where we watch movies once a week. We have an in-house cable channel that runs information daily, both as a bulletin board type of thing, and also they run movies and other events on it. They have two buses that take people shopping once a week. Since we have our own car, we don't do that, but we were all out for dinner Thursday night at a local restaurant. There's a semi-monthly women's luncheon and there's a monthly men's luncheon. There's volunteer activities and we have a semi-monthly volunteer lunch. We're finally going to have a welcoming event for all the people that have arrived recently. So, we have a party and get together and get to know them. It's just overall a great place to live, and The Town House is actually a charitable operation. It is part of a corporation called BHI Inc. and it originally started out as a church based facility, and so it's a nonprofit."

"We liked Arbor Glen. It's great across the board. It was excellent. The people that we talked to were very friendly. They seemed to meet all of the needs my brother would have had. The lady that took us on the tour answered all our questions. She was very helpful in letting us know what was available. We're very well pleased. There seemed to be quite a bit that he could've been able to do if he had stayed there. It's easy to access to everything. The cleanliness was perfect."

"I will be moving into Heritage Park Assisted Living & Garden Homes. It's very convenient, friendly, and welcoming. The staff was very kind, courteous, and helpful. Utilities are paid for. They had a lovely dining room and a chapel. The area around it was light and there were lots of trees and hopefully birds. The dining area was very nice and looked welcoming and clean. Everything about it was good and it was clean."

"Heritage Park was nice. The staff was friendly. The rooms were nice and were about the size of all the others. The residents were happy. It's a friendly community."
