The rooms at Christian Care Retirement Community were nice. They're like apartment-type rooms and a more individual living arrangement. They had several dining areas depending on what floor and what area you are in, and those were all very nice, too. There were smaller dining rooms, which were more intimate where people get to know the people they are eating with a little better. They take their residents shopping and have some groups that come in for entertainment. They're always adding on and building new areas. They're in high demand. It's more of a church-related facility, so a lot of their residents are from their own denomination, which is Christian Apostolic. The staff was very good and very caring, and they had excellent nurses. They had a restaurant where people from the community can come in and eat, and they offered very good food. It's very well maintained.

My Mom's stay in Christian Care Center was a very good experience to us all in the family. They had a complex that handled Alzheimer's. In her last few months, she was very comfortable, and it seemed enjoyable. The staff was outstanding. There were many things for her to do. They let her do the things that they knew she could do, and they made sure to do the things that she couldn't do but needed to be done. The facility was very clean. It didn't have the odor of a nursing home.
