SUCH A BEAUTIFUL FACILITY TUCKED IN THE WOODS!! I currently reside in Alabama but, my parents raised my siblings and myself in the Huntington, IN area. With the distance and my parents health slowly declining we decided to start looking into Assisted Living facilities with the intent it may be a year until a decision is made. One thing I found quite interesting was that Tipton Place is the ONLY Assisted Living Community in Huntington, IN that is only Assisted Living. While the other facilities that we toured were nice I often found myself feeling overwhelmed by the immense amount of people at all different stages of life and the size of some of these buildings. When we toured Tipton Place it is ONLY a community of AL residents. This was never a concern that I thought would affect our decision however, it was the deciding factor. We want a small community that is an easy layout for our parents to walk to dinner and to activities. During our tour of Tipton Place the staff was conversational, knowledgeable, friendly and the facility was very clean and open. The record player was on and the community was playing Bingo during our tour!! It felt welcoming and very laid back. We toured the one bedroom suite and it had plenty of space for both of my parents and a good sized bedroom with a separate bathroom with all doors wheelchair accessible. The apartment comes with a fridge, microwave and a kitchenette to prepare meals if they would decide to do so. When sharing we had anticipated at least a year until we made a decision I felt somewhat shooed away from the other facilities. When we discussed this with Tipton Place we felt treated as if we would be moving my parents in any day and not rushed to make such a big decision. With my distance the ED and DOS were vary accommodating and flexible to my travel schedule and even sent me a virtual tour specialized for my parents. I would definitely consider touring Tipton Place if you are in the search for your parents or family member.

Tipton Place is a small Assisted Living Community and very family oriented staff. With Tipton Place being a smaller community I feel that the care is more hands on and my family member is taken care of and in good hands. When searching for a place to call home my mother wanted a place she could bring her cat. At Tipton Place they welcome pets and this was a huge plus for my mother. The food is great and the menu seems endless for options.

I've been to Tipton Place and it was very nice. I love that place, but because of my brother's issues right now, they cannot take him because they are not a full nursing care facility. The facility had a very nice atmosphere. The layout was awesome. It was almost like an apartment living type thing. Everybody gets along really well there. The staff was very nice and very accommodating.
