I liked the room accommodations that we saw at Byron Health Center and that they had employees bring their dogs in so the residents could comfort them. I also liked their outdoor space. They have a general living room area and a dining area. They also had a room that they could go into to use the computer or TV by themselves or in a group.

We found Byron Health Center for my sister. We chose them because they cater more with the issues she has, which are mental issues. The staff seems to be nice and friendly. The facilities are very old, but very clean. I know she goes to group therapies.

Byron Residential provides so-so care to their residents. My Great Grandmother's items frequently go missing or become lost in the laundry. We've had to purchase multiples of many items. While the facilities themselves are nice, the employees can be highly rude at times. Just asking for information about my grandmother turns into an hour long ordeal. They do not seem to want to help family members understand medical information or current events, only the relatives in the residence. Once you get past their initial rudeness, the employees do seem to care about the residents. My great-grandmother does enjoy her time there. Food (the few times I've eaten with her) is passable. They do have good programs to help keep the residents active and socializing. While it isn't the nicest residential center I've visited relatives in, Byron Residential Center more than makes up for it by the care they show towards the inhabitants.

I visited the facility when my grandmother was there, it was a nice place and the staff was kind and helpful. My grandmother had activities to do and movies to watch. I am glad that we sent her to that place she told me once " That she was home and she was happy." I know the staff made here feel that way. I would recommend this facility to anyone in need of great care .
