"When I went here, they showed me everything. It is an awesome community. It is close to everything. I liked the room that I looked at because it was on the ground floor and it was close to the gardens outside. It was very nice. The staff was very friendly, very informative, and very knowledgeable. They had a lot of different activities that were very nice. They would go on little trips to different places. When I was there, they were playing basketball sitting down, which is really good for people who can't move around very well. I haven't seen that before, and that was kind of nice too. "

"My mother has lived at Cogir in Mill Creek for a very long time as an independent living resident. We couldn’t have made a better choice with her, especially with the current director who has made some great decisions for the overall vibe of the residence. I am pleased with all of the staff I’ve had contact with, and I hope they all feel appreciated in their positions. There are many friendly residents from all walks of life. I hope they all have families or friends nearby to visit them. I’ve eaten in the dining room many times. The current chef prepares wonderful meals and the wait staff are very caring and patient. My mother has never complained about the food at Cogir. There is a long list of activities to meet just about any desired need. I find Cogir at Mill Creek to be a very welcoming and warm environment, and I hope my mother can stay as long as she is able to financially. It is kind of a hidden gem."

"Ascent Adult Family Home LLC was clean. They had a locked closet that you had to have a code to get into for the medications. The lady showed me around and she was just very nice and friendly. They were going to be getting the room ready (it wasn't ready yet) for my sister. They have to do an assessment first, so she would work with me on my sister. It's a home. From the second floor, getting to the yard in the back would be difficult for the people, but they've got a deck in the summer where people can go out onto and they have two of them. One had raised beds around the whole perimeter so that people could do gardening in it. It was comfortable-looking and it just seemed very nice. The lady I met was the owner. She lived downstairs. She was very personable and caring. They just didn't have a lot of parking, because it's in a neighborhood. So, their parking was not very good to go and visit."

"My parents moved into Brookdale Monroe. It's a 13-acre parcel. They have non-assisted, assisted, and memory care, so residents can move wherever needed. My mother needs assistance while my dad does not, so they live together, and they can offer different care for both of them. They're very well-staffed. They offer a ride to medical appointments, shopping, and outings. They take care of lots of different services with extra charges for medical, medicine, and personal care. Included are their meals, electricity, and utilities. They offer lots of different activities daily. The staff are very qualified. They keep the facility very clean, and they're always doing maintenance. Right now, they're going to start redoing the carpet. They have a couple of dining rooms, so there's adequate dining. They offer menu choices for food and give the occupants choices. However, they could probably make up a little bit on some choices. The cost was very reasonable based on the other places we toured."

"We went to see Gencare Lifestyle Lynnwood at Scriber Gardens about a week and a half ago. It had a gym but we couldn't afford it. It's back to the money thing. It was clean though and they were friendly. They had everything my husband wanted like it was close to stores so he could get on his little scooter and take off. The staff we met seemed like she was more into selling than looking for a place that would make my husband happy. It was the assisted living that we toured that day. My husband tried the food and he liked it. The place was very clean. They have a gym, a salon and they have activities you can do every day. My husband liked where the place was and that there was a Safeway and a dollar store there so he could get to it as much as he needed to."

"Edmonds Landing is a small community. There's assisted living and independent living together in one place, which I really liked. It's not just a bunch of assisted living people together or independent living together, but they live as one community. They have a lot of really nice outdoor spaces, and their dining room is beautiful. My mom's not there yet, but they've been very conscientious about gathering all of the information needed to care for her and meet all of her needs. They communicated with her doctor and spoke directly to her when we visited on Wednesday to find out exactly what she wanted and what she was expecting. The apartments are very nice. All of them are very, very clean. They have all have new carpet and new paint. My mom's moving into a one-bedroom, and it's very nice and very spacious. She's in a wheelchair about 80 percent of the time. It's very nice too that she can get around in her apartment in her wheelchair. There are beautiful gardens with tables and seating for people to go out, sit, and enjoy the different areas. The gardens and the plants are beautiful and look like they really keep up the gardens. They are landscaped very nicely. My mom has a really nice view of the garden and a pretty pink magnolia tree out of her bedroom window. It's just really pretty. Everybody that we've met has been wonderful."

"I toured this place for my mom, it was so nice. When I came in they had a welcome sign and the staff greated me and my mom with smiles and warmpth. Its a beautiful place and the care is amazing !! I recommend Kenmoer Senior Living to anyone who wants a small community for their loved ones."

"Riverside East was nice. It was smaller, and the rooms were smaller. Everything was smaller. They seemed to have a meeting room, they do have some transportation, and they seem to have basically the same amenities. Part of the problem was that it was a little darker. It was not as bright as the other places that we were looking at, and that was a concern to us. But other than that, the people seemed friendly. It was just a much smaller group of people. A nurse was available most of the time, so that was interesting. "

"My husband and I are residents of MorningStar of Kirkland. The food is very good. It's presented very nicely, and everything is always delicious. We have a wonderful chef. It's very clean. They take excellent care of us. There's a lot of great activities. We have no complaints. They have an exercise facility, so they have exercise classes, and they bring in entertainment. They take us on trips, like on Christmas day, they took us on a tour to see the Christmas lights all over Kirkland and in the area. They take us to concerts downtown. Everything is great. The staff is very helpful, courteous, and considerate. There's no disappointment. It's a great place."

"I went to tour Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living & Memory Care. The receptionist was very friendly and very encouraging. The gentleman was open to answering any questions and said, "Let me take you on a tour." He showed me where the craft room was. They played games there. They had paid attention to the things I said my sister was interested in when I spoke with the other gentleman on the phone a few days earlier. She likes adult coloring, puzzles, and playing games, and so the staff showed me all those. He told me about the library, and he took me upstairs and showed me a room. There were two rooms, and it had a mini kitchen and eating area between the two. My sister would have had no roommate, and she would have has a bathroom that is not across the building like she has where she is now. I asked if they were set up for a TV already, and the staff said yes. I asked if they were set up for a computer, and he also said yes. The room I looked at had a mini balcony, but you couldn't open a window or a door to get out of there. It was for the view, and the view was lovely. It's completely wooded with a creek in the back. What I saw at Peters Creek Retirement was great. They have a paved walkway all the way around outside. They have an elevator for my sister to get to the room, which is good because she has a knee issue. They have a patio outside. Everything I saw was neat and clean, and flyers were available for you to help yourselves with."

"My husband is in assisted living at Regency on Whidbey. I think it's a great community. It's laid out very well, and it's kept very clean and sanitary. The staff is very friendly and efficient. His studio apartment is nice and clean, and it's a private one. It has a kitchenette, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a sink. The dining area is very nice and it's medium-sized. They have activities planned every day. They have bingo, music, they have people that present different subjects, movies, and Wheel of Fortune. Value for money is good. They're all expensive, but for the price, it's kept up and it's maintained very well."
