"I visited Solista Everett by Cogir. It didn't have the same kind of vibes as the other place. The biggest thing that was missing from that facility was the residents who lived there. Nobody was out walking around the hall or doing any activity. It was early afternoon."

"My mom moved into MorningStar of Silver Lake. It's wonderful so far. Her room is set up really nice. It's set up for a wheelchair, which she is not that right now, and there's also a washer and dryer in the unit, and they do clean the unit and do the bed linens, but the washer and dryer is for your own use. Everything's great. Yesterday they went to the casino. There was a busload that went to the casino. They have a lot of things. They have music. There was a big sing along yesterday and people came to play the piano there and sing along. It's a really active community. 100 percent clean, clean, clean. No odors in the hallways. The food is very good, and they have a large menu to choose from. There's walking trails, big gardens to go out and walk around in, lots of trees."

"My wife and I helped her Dad move into Cogir Mill Creek and we had an exceptional experience. David was our primary leasing contact, and he provided top notch service throughout the process. Everyone was very accommodating. The room was nicely renovated, clean, the grounds and facilities are well kept, and the location across from Mill Creek Towncenter is great."

"Ascent Adult Family Home LLC was clean. They had a locked closet that you had to have a code to get into for the medications. The lady showed me around and she was just very nice and friendly. They were going to be getting the room ready (it wasn't ready yet) for my sister. They have to do an assessment first, so she would work with me on my sister. It's a home. From the second floor, getting to the yard in the back would be difficult for the people, but they've got a deck in the summer where people can go out onto and they have two of them. One had raised beds around the whole perimeter so that people could do gardening in it. It was comfortable-looking and it just seemed very nice. The lady I met was the owner. She lived downstairs. She was very personable and caring. They just didn't have a lot of parking, because it's in a neighborhood. So, their parking was not very good to go and visit."

"We visited Country Meadow Village. If mom goes up there in the condition she's in now and then gets worse, we have to transfer her again, and that's not something we're looking to do. We want to get something where when she does go, they're able to handle her throughout all stages of problems. The staff seemed pretty experienced. Everything was clean, neat, and well taken care of, and they have a variety of things there, like the courtyard, and mom could get out and do a little bit of gardening in some of the spots there. They were renewing some of the planting areas at the time we were there."

"I toured Brookdale Monroe. First off, they were super nice. The lady was very, very helpful. Right away I realized I almost didn't know all the questions to ask even though I had a notebook with about 10 questions written down. It was an older design. It was a single-story unit located in a neighborhood that's a regular neighborhood. If you're just walking you probably would think it is just a couple of houses together. They didn't have memory care and I was looking for independent care. They had a nice little walking area on the property. The room design, the 1-bedroom was kind, I'll just call it funky, but I thought "this isn't a real 1-bedroom." It's kind of a studio with a wall and it just a funny design. Now, having said that, after seeing many more, I realized that even though it's an apartment, they're not at all the standard 1-bedroom design that I would think if I was renting it for a family. So, the design wasn't my favorite. They were nice and willing to work with us. They had a little garden patio area which was nice, too."

"We visited Harbor Tower Village. It had a nice building, and it was well kept. It was fairly modern inside. The staff was very courteous. "

"We have been so fortunate to find North Creek by Bonaventure Bothell in our time of need. We visited nearly every Sr Assisted Living Care facility with memory care within a 25 mile radios and from the very start North Creek stood out and set the bar for what we were looking for. I can tell you that without a doubt, this was one of the nicest facilities, but more than that, the residents and the staff all looked you in the eye and were bright eyed and full of life and spirit. How often do you see this at a Sr. Living facility. I am 100% certain that this all flows down from the amazing executive director of the facility- Jessica L. Jessica has to be one of the most caring and loving people I have ever met. She immediately made us feel like family and valued us, understood us, and helped us through an incredibly difficult time. I personally would not have made it through this search and move without her. Everything at North Creek is full of life and vitality thanks to Jessica. We are blessed to be able to move my father here and that they had an opening. If you need a place for a Sr loved one.... you could not do any better than North Creek by Bonaventure. You owe it to yourself and to your loved one to check this place out. 5 stars all the way from the first moment!"

"I talked to my mother at Regency on Whidbey a lot. I am probably most impressed by their staff and the dignity with which they treat people; that’s the kind of dignity you want your parents to be treated with. It would be easy to talk down to residents because they don't know what’s going on. They do make sure there are activities going on. She has had a couple of falls, and they kept us in the loop with notifications really well even from a distance; I received them here in California. They send me a calendar of what they have going on each month, which helps to be able to have conversations with my mom while knowing what’s happening. I appreciate that. The facility is clean, no smell. It is probably not as fancy as other facilities in terms of setup and decoration. The way that they served the meals and the snacks is plain, like you're in your own home. I think she feels as at home as she could. The place is a good size; it’s neither too big nor too small, and it's all on one level. I know my mother is happy there. It’s clean, and they are very nice too. "

"We went to see Gencare Lifestyle Lynnwood at Scriber Gardens about a week and a half ago. It had a gym but we couldn't afford it. It's back to the money thing. It was clean though and they were friendly. They had everything my husband wanted like it was close to stores so he could get on his little scooter and take off. The staff we met seemed like she was more into selling than looking for a place that would make my husband happy. It was the assisted living that we toured that day. My husband tried the food and he liked it. The place was very clean. They have a gym, a salon and they have activities you can do every day. My husband liked where the place was and that there was a Safeway and a dollar store there so he could get to it as much as he needed to."

"Edmonds Landing is a small community. There's assisted living and independent living together in one place, which I really liked. It's not just a bunch of assisted living people together or independent living together, but they live as one community. They have a lot of really nice outdoor spaces, and their dining room is beautiful. My mom's not there yet, but they've been very conscientious about gathering all of the information needed to care for her and meet all of her needs. They communicated with her doctor and spoke directly to her when we visited on Wednesday to find out exactly what she wanted and what she was expecting. The apartments are very nice. All of them are very, very clean. They have all have new carpet and new paint. My mom's moving into a one-bedroom, and it's very nice and very spacious. She's in a wheelchair about 80 percent of the time. It's very nice too that she can get around in her apartment in her wheelchair. There are beautiful gardens with tables and seating for people to go out, sit, and enjoy the different areas. The gardens and the plants are beautiful and look like they really keep up the gardens. They are landscaped very nicely. My mom has a really nice view of the garden and a pretty pink magnolia tree out of her bedroom window. It's just really pretty. Everybody that we've met has been wonderful."

"My parents are in The Creekside. It's so far from what I had expected and I like it. The rooms are functional. They have a salon and activities. I have eaten there with them, and it tasted fine. "
