"I was impressed with the person who showed us around at Brookdale Edina. She was knowledgeable, warm, and friendly, and she seemed to know many of the clients. It seemed to be an easy, comfortable atmosphere. I thought the rooms were attractive. It is connected with an indoor park, which I loved. But I think that it would be overwhelming for my parents. It seems to me that it would be complex for them, maybe because it was my initial visit to the facility. I thought as far as the people went, everyone I met was very nice. I thought it might be a little harder to make your way around, although they mentioned that they have people who live there who are available and welcome new people. So I thought that was a very nice way to accommodate some of the reluctance about socializing. The food was very nicely presented. It's appealing to the eyes, nose, and senses. It was mild but not bland -- not really an exciting meal, but it looked pretty and it was tasty enough."

"The rooms are older and small. The care is moderately good. The biggest complaint is that we purchased new comfortable clothing for him and within a week all but one item we purchased “disappeared” never to be seen again. They also “lost” a sweatshirt that was very dear to him. It is obvious that they randomly distribute clothing to other patients as we often arrived and he was wearing items that were not his own. I would be very wary of this place."

"We moved into assisted living here. It's a brand-new building and it has so far been just fine. We're just kind of getting settled in. It's wonderful and it's really nice. The apartments are really nice. The staff is very good. The food and dining setup looks OK. They have a gym and craft room. They have an activities director who's doing a survey right now with all the new residents to see what activities they want. They offer daily grocery transportation and one-day-a-week rides to doctors appointments."

"Havenwood of Maple Grove was very nice. The people were very accommodating, and some of the residents I met were nice. It's clean and brand new. If you're on the second level with the system, you can stay in your apartment, and then you just pay for the services for them to come in and help you. We didn't go to memory care, that's a separate area. The facility was very nice, clean, and bright. They had washers and dryers, which is wonderful. They had just come back from a walk, so I didn't see anyone at the time playing bingo. It was in the morning. They have listed some activities that were coming up. I was there about 11:00. But they had activities for the resident, so it's very nice. They showed us an exercise room. They had an area you could sit when the weather was nice. The dining area is very nice and very open. They charge for meals. The common spaces were all clean. Everything's very nice, clean, and sanitized."

"As far as I was concerned, everything about Villas at Pleasant Avenue II was very nice, and they were very helpful. I wouldn't mind living there. I really liked it. I liked the way the kitchen was set up. I liked the way the rooms were set up."

"My dad moved into Benedictine Windermere Way. When you walk into it, it is so inviting. They always have fresh coffee and water there, and the staff is pleasant. The food was great. The facility is very clean. There's an activity calendar, and there's always something going on. They have bingo, and they have a bar place. They have a movie night. They play cards. They play left and right, and they play dice. They have a puzzle room, a library room, and a workout room. My dad has a studio, and I was impressed that he had a stove, a fridge, and lots of cupboards in the studio. They have a huge chapel. It's spacious, friendly, well-kept, and they have security."

"I went to Havenwood of Burnsville. It was very nice. Their apartments were beautiful. They have high ceilings, which is nice. The rooms were very nicely appointed. The restaurant was nice looking. They have a fitness center, a community room, a theater, a library, and a computer lounge. They emphasized health care if needed. They're in a good location for people who might want to come and visit. The place is just nice looking. It's worth looking at. The staff was nice, too."

"We like Ecumen Seasons and the way the care is offered. We like the structure and the general level of service. The staff was very helpful. They were very competent and very resident-centered. My mom’s been there for a little over a week. They have movies, speakers, different craft activities, book clubs, and social groups that meet every single day. "

"The staff was very knowledgeable and very nice at The Wellstead of Rogers & Diamondcrest. The facility was very clean. The rooms were gorgeous. They have real plan in place to keep residents up and moving. The facility was bigger, so it was not as personal but still very nice. All of the people seemed to be really happy, clean, and smell good. They had many activities, physical therapists, speech therapists, and counselors. "

"I toured Lofts on Rose. I like the staff, living facilities, and community area. That part was nice. It wasn't as roomy as the other one, but there was enough room to move around. It looked very clean. I didn't see anything out of place. Everything was where it was supposed to be. Even the residents looked clean as well."

"Ecumen Seasons at Maplewood's staff is excellent. We have excellent food, activities, and cleanliness. It's just a nice place."

"I toured Oakdale Commons. As far as someplace to live and everything, it was a better location. I liked everything else, but it was just a little bit on the iffy side, too. The problem is, where it was at was pretty good for the most part, but you have to get through some parts that aren't that great to get to it. As far as the facilities themselves, I had no complaints. The person who gave the tour was nice. She showed me around. She showed me all the facilities, all the public facilities, and everything."

"My father moved into assisted living at The Glenn on April 18th, 2013, after a referral by a residents son and daughter. The facility is beautiful, and the staff is extremely friendly and competent. As my fathers health diminished he moved into the Enhanced Care Suites for additional care. Inspite of his age, physical condition, and somewhat challenging personality everyone continued his care beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend The Glenn to anyone needing Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Enhanced Care. A very comforting and reassuring place for the family as well. "

"Beacon Hill was very nice. They were remodeling at the time some of the apartments. This was before the COVID, so people were conversing and stuff downstairs. I don't know what it is now at all. The apartment that I saw was very nice, and there seemed to be plenty of room. It looked like a one-bedroom. The staff who assisted me was very knowledgeable, kind, gave me some literature, and she also told me they had a two-year waiting list at that time. They had walking trails behind, which was very nice."
