"Broadway Court Estates is absolutely superb in every category. It's excellent, and that's where I would like to stay. They have an extraordinary activity schedule. It's impossible for anybody to do it all. There's quite a few things every day for all different kinds of interests, talents, and age groups. My brother-in-law has a one-bedroom apartment that has all the amenities including a washer and dryer, huge shower, large kitchen, large living area, and a patio deck outside the living area. It's a fantastic apartment. "

"The people here are very professional and provide good service. Everybody is so helpful and caring. It has a very homey atmosphere. Mom’s room is very nice and somewhat small but has everything that she needs. They have activities every day, like cards, quilting, pizza parties, popcorn socials, and dances. I have tried their food, and it is very good. Mom likes the food, too. The staff is very caring, always on top of everything, and has top-notch work ethics."

"We are leaning towards the Gallery at Spokane because of its price. While it was high, it had much better amenities compared to other places. We also liked the fact that it was a true age in place. If Dad potentially needed to move from independent living to assisted living, he would not have to move to a different room or a different building. They could provide either of those services in the apartment that he would rent. The apartment was impeccable. It's brand new, so it's clean and bright. It's very well laid out. It is updated and modern. We looked at their menu offerings and it exceeded the others. As opposed to the others, which had set eating times, or were limited to one meal or two meals per day, you can go down at the Gallery at Spokane Assisted & Senior Living at 3:00 in the afternoon and get a sandwich if you want from the bistro. You are not restricted to any particular dining area or any particular dining time. You get three meals and I liked that the dinner has a selection of entrees. We saw the gym, the hair salon, the common areas, and the outdoor spaces, and they were all lovely, well-designed, open, bright, and airy. We really liked having the nice concierge up front. It felt like an upscale condo/apartment or hotel that I would gladly stay in. The only thing that made it seem like it was for senior citizens is the handicapped accessible bathroom. Otherwise, it wasn't like some place my grandmother decorated. They were also very informative and easy to talk to."

"We toured Solista Spokane by Cogir. They were renovating some rooms, and we got to see one where one of the ladies allowed us to come in. We were impressed with the amount of room, which was very nice. The staff was very sweet, gracious, and very informative. The people she introduced us to were friendly, and the place was very nice and clean. She showed us where they could get the food and invited us to come for Valentine's Day. They do not have kitchens per se. So, one of the things I think I'd like to have is fixing some of my own food."

Its a Godly, loving, caring and protective place for all people regardless of age and their limitations. We provide a friendly safe and home environment to both our residents and their families. We also encourage participants of events like Christmas, thanksgiving and not forgetting different anniversaries and birthdays for our residents. "We just sat in the office pretty much at Bestland and we talked to the lady who was very kind and answered all our questions. The facility was OK but a little tired looking. The outside looks like a motel. "

"Garden Plaza of Post Falls is very clean, and that's very important to me. It was the only place that we've looked at so far that had rooms that would accommodate both my husband and me, so that was good. Most of the places that we looked at online are more for like a single person. The lady Stephanie who took us around gave us a lot of good information and answered all our questions, so I appreciated that. The apartment that we would want would be one of their two bedrooms. One of the things that we found in all of them is that the bedrooms are extremely small, and that's kind of a drawback. We also live in a very large space house right now, so it's hard to think about paring down to 800 square feet. But there, at least we could have two bedrooms, so we could have a bed in one room and the furniture in another. It also had a washer-dryer which appealed to me, so that I wouldn't have to even give up that because I don't need assisted living, but my husband does. Also, they were very accommodating and very helpful. The building is very pleasant-looking, it has nice wide corridors and high ceilings, and there is nice outside landscaping, so all of that is a big plus."

"I have a large house with a 2-story shop, and that place was too big for me to handle. Last January, I broke my leg so I have to find a place that was smaller, convenient, and around people where I could get the help I needed. I like Talon Hills when I first saw it, but I decided I wasn't ready to move. Now I am and it is not far from where my place is. I'm legally blind. I cannot drive, but I get around fine. The only problem I have with this place there's no bus. It comes within about two blocks. But the bus service is number one on the list that they're going to expand. The rooms are nice, big, and they have all the amenities. They have open floor plans, easy access, extra storage, air-conditioning, garbage disposal, washer and dryer, balcony patios, computer room, onsite management and 24-hour maintenance. One thing they have there that I really appreciated was a garden. You can garden in the summertime. I've been to a couple of things out there, like a tea sampling party. "

"I'm currently in Whispering Pines. It's very good. I'm in a two-bedroom, and the layout is nice. It's a fairly small community. I've met a couple of the neighbors, even though I haven't been outside much because I have been sick. Everybody seemed to be nice and friendly. The lady who takes care of any of the issues is very responsive. She calls right back or comes out. I haven't participated in anything, but I know that they have activities over at their activity center, which is just basically across the street from me and down just a little bit. They have Pinnacle in there every Thursday or Friday. They have all sorts of different things you can sign up for. There's a little barbecue area out back if you want. It's very nice. It's set up to accommodate a lot of different activities."

"I have moved into Olympus Living of Spokane Valley. The food is terrible though. It's just awful. The facility itself looks nice, but it's not nice. They have their own little activities, and what they do have is just dumb stuff. I have a two-room apartment. I clean it myself, so it's OK. Regarding their staff, I hardly ever see them. They have bingo, but they have no prize if you win. They go bowling, but it's not fun. None of the activities are fun. I think the cost is too much of what you get."

"My mother has moved into Evergreen Fountains. It's very nice. It's clean and fresh. They have large corridors and a little cafe in the front. They got a coffee machine out, and they do ice cream there as well. It's very nice. The staff members are very nice and very friendly. The only item that my mother would say that she finds not as good as at the place where she was previously is that they don't have very many evening activities. After dinner, they don't have movies or that sort of thing. They have a swimming pool, a fitness center, a library, and they play cards and all that sort of thing. During the day they have a lot going on, but it's just after dinner, that they have a few activities. The food is very nice. My mother likes the food. The quality is good. The dining room is nice."

"The staff-members that I met in Orchard Crest were friendly, and the people there were happy. I was there at a time when not a lot of people were around. They have nice facilities for their residents' activities. They were redoing the dining room during our visit."

"I visited Holman Gardens. It had some important things we needed. The apartments were of a nice size and had a washer and dryer included, which was a definite plus. It was a non-profit, so it was much more affordable. The staff was very nice. The residents seemed to enjoy living there. They had transportation to shopping and doctors' appointments. They also had a garden, a craft room, and a pool. "

"We have my husband at Colonial Court Assisted Living. What I like least is the price, but that's at every place, I guess. The staff is great. Last night, I had dinner with him. We had taco salad, and he had scampi. It's a big variety of different foods, and they have a choice of two entrees. They have a menu. It's very clean. They have card games, they have TV, and they have trips out once a month. He has a pretty good- sized room right now."
