"I moved into The Gallery at Spokane. The rooms are big enough. I have good sun coming through, so that's good lighting. The food is terrific. They have a good medical department. They're very, very helpful. They are here immediately if you have a problem. They are very pleasant. We have a good yard out here, good areas to sit and enjoy yourself. Inside, it's like a hotel. It looks fantastic."

Its a Godly, loving, caring and protective place for all people regardless of age and their limitations. We provide a friendly safe and home environment to both our residents and their families. We also encourage participants of events like Christmas, thanksgiving and not forgetting different anniversaries and birthdays for our residents. "Brookdale Coeur d'Alene was nice and clean. The staff seemed very nice and caring. The apartments were small, but I think most places are. They seemed like they would accommodate the needs of a person that is in assisted living. The dining area was clean and spacious too. They had a beauty salon and bingo. I think the place was homey, and it seemed like the people were happy to be there."

"I visited Honeysuckle Senior Living, and they were very friendly, helpful, and reassuring. It's a very warm and homey type of place. The manager showed us around what was available; the places that my father could go and would be dining and things like that. She was the only person that we spoke with. The rooms were very well laid out, clean, and very disabled-friendly. They have basic transportation services to appointments. They do crafts, games, and there is live music that comes in. There's a hair salon, but it's all on a very small, more intimate level facility. It's not huge at all and that's what we really liked about it. It is very relaxed and homey feeling."

"Cherrywood staff has always been gracious, caring, helpful and kind to me and my husband, each and every time we've come to visit our senior "family" here. My husband, Monty, teaches a Christ-based Bible study once a week and also preaches on Sunday afternoons. What a privilige to share God's love with others here. We do not have any "real" family in Eastern Washington, so we are blessed with such an exceptional exteneded "family" consisting of people we get to know and spend time with at in Cherrywood. There are also many types of activities available for the residents of Cherrywood to participate in, many of which we've been invited to and greatly enjoy! BINGO is especially fun: lots of laughter whenever the first person has a "BINGO!" One year, Cherrywood had an outside carnival and we had so much fun! Smiles everywhere that day! We especially love the recognition of Senior birthdays and all of the special seasonal decorations. Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas are always special times at Cherrywood. Christmas always has beautiful music provided from our Spokane community; choirs, harps and of course, the fantastic food! Who would think such flavorful food would be available on a daily basis? We've enjoyed the celebrations of Thanksgiving and Christmas with the residents and their many family members, and hearing the wonderful memories the seniors share with us. What a privilige it is to visit with seniors! We've also enjoyed special outings at restaurants and even a wonderful "outing" in Idaho while riding on a boat with a wonderful luncheon onboard a cruise ship in Idaho! It was so peaceful and the fresh air was fantabulous! "

"Very professional staff. A very comfy place to live for medium-risk patients. It's nicely located about 5 minutes away from several grocery stores, yet also isn't in a high traffic area. The staff were trained to help people do basic things such as wash, use the toilet, and eat. Their rooms were also quite comfortable, with an electric reclining chair, a TV with cable, a comfortable bed, and a very large cabinet with a refrigerator for foods. A good choice for anyone, certainly better than some of the other homes I've been to in the Spokane area. "

"Courtyard at Coeur d'Alene is a lovely place, and I like the layout because they have a secure courtyard that is surrounded by the various buildings and even though the weather is not great, my mom likes to go out there. She can walk with her walker around the perimeter, and it's mostly covered. It's very nice. The staff seems to be caring, and they work really hard to meet people's needs. The only thing that's not so great is that they seem to be understaffed. I've eaten two meals there, and they were fine and smelled good. They have a lot of musicians who come in. There's a lot of effort put into what they provide. It's a good value."

"I toured Avista Spokane. The other residents in the community were extremely happy. We dropped in unannounced several times and they were more than willing to meet with us. We had a meal there. It's good food. They have studios and a couple of one-bedroom apartments. So they have a little kitchenette, which would be the microwave. The person who gave the tour was kind, considerate, and encouraging."

"My mother has moved into Evergreen Fountains. It's very nice. It's clean and fresh. They have large corridors and a little cafe in the front. They got a coffee machine out, and they do ice cream there as well. It's very nice. The staff members are very nice and very friendly. The only item that my mother would say that she finds not as good as at the place where she was previously is that they don't have very many evening activities. After dinner, they don't have movies or that sort of thing. They have a swimming pool, a fitness center, a library, and they play cards and all that sort of thing. During the day they have a lot going on, but it's just after dinner, that they have a few activities. The food is very nice. My mother likes the food. The quality is good. The dining room is nice."

"The staff-members that I met in Orchard Crest were friendly, and the people there were happy. I was there at a time when not a lot of people were around. They have nice facilities for their residents' activities. They were redoing the dining room during our visit."

"I visit Rose Pointe regularly, at different times and different days. Without exception, I have found my relative to be receiving excellent care. The staff know her and know her needs. The staff have gone out of their way to meet the changing needs of my family member, which is crucial with the elderly. Rooms are spacious, very clean, food is very good, and different activities are available. There are outside areas where residents enjoy some sunshine. When the time comes for hospice, I would like my relative to stay there."

"My husband moved to Amani Place. It's very nice. There are only three other people in there with him besides the help. It smells great. The food is good, and he's happy there. I haven't spent a lot of time over there, but he's perfectly content, so they keep him active. He is in a private room. The staff was very helpful. It's pretty expensive."
