Fields Senior Living at Spokane Valley is a beautiful place, but it's a little too formal for my parents. It felt more like a four-story hotel than it did a senior living place. It was very beautiful inside. They are a fairly new building and the smells were good. The gal there was wonderful to talk with. I really enjoyed her a lot. There were lots of dark colors, browns and grays, things that don't show the dirt, which makes sense. The rooms were much smaller than the place that my parents are currently at, so it would not have been a good fit. The hallways were large and wonderful. I saw people sitting around playing games and putting puzzles together. They were very pleasant and seemed very happy. They have a bistro area that has ice, water, and coffee available all day long. No offer of food. They have nice elevators that move between the floors. It was a good experience. The one thing they don't do is they don't help with transitioning them to Medicaid at all once they run out of money.
