"Char's Family Home is amazing. My husband is going to get so much more care than he previously had. He's only been there for three days now. The meals are much, much better than what he had before. He has his own separate room and it's wonderful. When he sits in their dining room area, there are three other people that he can be with. It's a wonderful place. So far, they're just kind of being easy with him just because he's just gotten there. I'm just happy he's there. They have a nice backyard. They have a nice family room, and they let people come in. All the people that are there receiving the aid just seem very happy, and my husband's happy. It's very clean and maintained."

My family decided that she would move to Western Saddlerock Adult Family Home, just a few miles from where she previously lived. Throughout her time there, the staff was always courteous, respectful and hospitable. In this home, the overarching goal was to promote a family atmosphere rather than that of a nursing home or assisted living facility. It felt like the caretakers truly cared about my great-grandmother. They were firm with important things such as making sure the residents regularly took their medicine, but they worked hard to maintain everyone's dignity. Also, they were never too busy to be friendly to my family and I when we visited. In particular, I remember when the director of the home took 30 minutes of his time to converse with us as a group. "My mother was in Kadie Glen until September of this year. The ratio of residents per caregiver was high, but they did well with my mother. The reason we had to move her was that she became more active, and they didn’t have enough people to keep an eye on her and keep her safe. She would get up on her own, then try to walk or get out of bed by herself. When we got her in, she was very docile, and all of a sudden, one day she woke up and said, "Oh, I can stand up and walk by myself." In short, she outgrew the place. There were other memory care places where they have a lockdown facility for dementia patients who may try to get out. Those were a little more formal. This one was more homey. When I first walked in, it was evening, and they had a fireplace going with the residents sitting around it. When you go to a memory care lock-in facility, you usually never see the people as they really are behind the doors. This place was warm and inviting. People were very friendly and always helpful, but she just outgrew it. "

"My friend passed away about 2 weeks ago and he had been to Mountain Meadows of Leavenworth. Their service brought invaluable help and medical attention to my friend and we were very pleased. The facility is very clean and well maintained. They have very beautiful grounds and scenic view. The staff was very caring and professional. I remember she was very happy with the way the staff took care of her. I will not hesitate to call in Mountain Meadows for any future services I might need. "

"My mom is in the Cambridge. She's been there for eight years and it's excellent. Mom's level of care needs more observation than they would have been able to give, but she's coming along, and doing better, so I think it's OK. They serve three meals a day. They have housekeeping, and a program that includes exercise, Bingo, and word games. They have entertainment come in, Bible study, and church service on Sunday afternoon. The staff is just really kind. However, they could have a bigger variety of food."
