"My friend was at Riverwest Assisted Living and it was a beautiful place. It was great, they were well cared for, and it was really clean. We were allowed to go in and have lunch with our friend. The food was good with a good variety, and it was a good, nutritious meal. Everybody was friendly and his care was really well. He was very happy with them, his wife too, she used to go there every afternoon."

"We toured Blossom Valley by Cogir. They looked like an excellent facility. We did eat there. They had excellent food. The people were really friendly, they gave you a lot of information, and they called back. She just called me that day and said she'd keep calling, but I told her we're not at assisted living, or not quite there yet. The staff was excellent and very helpful. They had an exercise room, which I liked. They had a library. They had a couple of different rooms where they had meals and activity rooms. The people working around there are friendly, and also the people who live there. They are a little more expensive than the other facility, and that is something we have to consider."

"I visited Colonial Vista Senior Living and toured their independent living community for my parents. The rooms were a little bit better for my parents. The size of the room that they can get there would better meet their needs. It's a little bit bigger, and the particular rooms I looked at were 2-bedroom apartments. It would be fantastic for my parents to be able to have that second bedroom. It's very attractive. The staff members I met seemed very nice. I didn't have as large an opportunity to personally meet a lot of the staff members, and I would say that's primarily because it's twice the size of the other places I visited. They said when I return with my parents, to come in and we'll get a complimentary lunch, so I'm waiting for that."

"East Wenatchee Senior Living is the one that I really like for my parents. I toured their independent living community, and I really loved all the people and the caregivers at the facility, and their attitude. I was able to meet everybody. It's a smaller facility, too, so that's a positive in that regard. I know that they're going to be going through major remodeling and all. I heard that a company bought it out, and they're going to be doing major upgrades on the building, which is great. The cleanliness is good. I wouldn't degrade them for the remodeling at all, since that's in the works. It means new carpeting, furnishings, paint, and everything is going to be redone. The kitchen staff and the kitchen manager were fantastic people. Their menu is extraordinary, and they do everything daily from scratch. They even gave me a pie to take home with me. I was very surprised and very impressed. I even asked them if I could come in and eat lunch sometimes because it just looks so fantastic."

"Char's Family Home is amazing. My husband is going to get so much more care than he previously had. He's only been there for three days now. The meals are much, much better than what he had before. He has his own separate room and it's wonderful. When he sits in their dining room area, there are three other people that he can be with. It's a wonderful place. So far, they're just kind of being easy with him just because he's just gotten there. I'm just happy he's there. They have a nice backyard. They have a nice family room, and they let people come in. All the people that are there receiving the aid just seem very happy, and my husband's happy. It's very clean and maintained."

"My great-grandmother fell in her driveway and broke her hip. After rehabilitation, it was clear that it would no longer be wise for her to live by herself. My family decided that she would move to Western Saddlerock Adult Family Home, just a few miles from where she previously lived. Throughout her time there, the staff was always courteous, respectful and hospitable. In this home, the overarching goal was to promote a family atmosphere rather than that of a nursing home or assisted living facility. It felt like the caretakers truly cared about my great-grandmother. They were firm with important things such as making sure the residents regularly took their medicine, but they worked hard to maintain everyone's dignity. Also, they were never too busy to be friendly to my family and I when we visited. In particular, I remember when the director of the home took 30 minutes of his time to converse with us as a group. Overall, my experience with this home was very positive. "

"I toured Avamere at Wenatchee. It had lots of amenities. It was very clean and the staff was super nice. The one that I looked at was really nice. It had high ceilings, so it felt really spacious. Kevin, the gentleman that showed me around, is very knowledgeable. He introduced me to a lady that takes care of planning all the activities. Sounds like they have quite a bunch of different activities they can do. They can take them on excursions."

"As a hospital case manager looking to place someone in assisted living, I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, care and compassion of the director of nursing at Kadie G., Jenny P. Jenny rapidly facilitated a compassionate and concise transition from our rehab to their ALF. I was impressed with how attentive, interested and engaged Jenny was with the transfer process. "Highgate genuinely cares for their people. It is an outstanding place because of their staff and the actual facility. First of all, the facility is gorgeous with beautifully clean rooms and is safe. They have multiple safety pull cords in the apartment, many people that check on my mom frequently and have great protocols for Covid in this unprecedented time. The staff is a wonderful, caring group that checks on my Mom often, too. I commonly hear staff in the backgound when I call my mom. The people of Highgate are extremely friendly, pleasant and very patient while interacting my mom. The staff is always cheerful in the background and try to accommodate my mother's needs and wants. Many staff members are on speed dial and I am told to call them anytime with concerns or questions. Highgate staff sincerely want to do what is best for my mom and our family."

"I toured Heritage Heights. I liked the decor. It was very nice and recently updated. The dining room was very homey. They have an outdoor area with lots of flowers that is very inviting. It's a little place for them to walk outdoors that is safe. I really thought the staff was excellent in the conversations we had with them. What I liked the least (and it might just be this way since this is the only one I've ever visited) is that the rooms for me were quite small, and the bathroom seemed a little bit institutional. Those are pretty much the only two things that I would have negative to say about them. I thought it was very nice. Had my mom wanted to move into an assisted living place, that would definitely be a place that we would be interested in. However, she really liked the idea of living on our property right next door. Nevertheless, the staff members were great, and the facility was very clean."

"My mom is in the Cambridge. She's been there for eight years and it's excellent. Mom's level of care needs more observation than they would have been able to give, but she's coming along, and doing better, so I think it's OK. They serve three meals a day. They have housekeeping, and a program that includes exercise, Bingo, and word games. They have entertainment come in, Bible study, and church service on Sunday afternoon. The staff is just really kind. However, they could have a bigger variety of food."
