My great-grandmother fell in her driveway and broke her hip. After rehabilitation, it was clear that it would no longer be wise for her to live by herself. My family decided that she would move to Western Saddlerock Adult Family Home, just a few miles from where she previously lived. Throughout her time there, the staff was always courteous, respectful and hospitable. In this home, the overarching goal was to promote a family atmosphere rather than that of a nursing home or assisted living facility. It felt like the caretakers truly cared about my great-grandmother. They were firm with important things such as making sure the residents regularly took their medicine, but they worked hard to maintain everyone's dignity. Also, they were never too busy to be friendly to my family and I when we visited. In particular, I remember when the director of the home took 30 minutes of his time to converse with us as a group. Overall, my experience with this home was very positive.
