Heritage Heights

I toured Heritage Heights. I liked the decor. It was very nice and recently updated. The dining room was very homey. They have an outdoor area with lots of flowers that is very inviting. It's a little place for them to walk outdoors that is safe. I really thought the staff was excellent in the conversations we had with them. What I liked the least (and it might just be this way since this is the only one I've ever visited) is that the rooms for me were quite small, and the bathroom seemed a little bit institutional. Those are pretty much the only two things that I would have negative to say about them. I thought it was very nice. Had my mom wanted to move into an assisted living place, that would definitely be a place that we would be interested in. However, she really liked the idea of living on our property right next door. Nevertheless, the staff members were great, and the facility was very clean.

I found the overall facility comfortable with a pleasant environment. It offered a variety of both in house and away activities. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The residents I visited with were pleased with the facility but stated the menu could be better.

Heritage Heights is an assisted living facility and nursing home for minimally challenged elders. The facility is clean, cheerful, and lively. I appreciate the staff being warm and kind to residents and guests alike. There are several cats who live in the facility for the residents to enjoy, which my family member adored. Most of the clients did, as they missed their own pets. My family member was always clean, showered, and dressed appropriately whenever I visited her. There are many activities available for the residents, and a bus to get them to and from shopping, doctors offices, etc. Heritage Heights has a TV room, an organ, and a bible study group available as well as a beauty parlor for the women. They kept my relative under close supervision during dangerous activities like showering and navigating the stairs. The staff seem to know each and every resident by name, which I appreciated. The meals prepared were of better quality than most facilities I have visited or seen. I found them quite accomodating and felt comfortable having them watch over my family member. I would recommend Heritage Heights for any senior who is no longer able to care for themselves properly.
