"The activities here in Ashlynn Ridge 55+ Apartments are good. We have a pavilion in the back with a barbecue grill, swings, and a koi pond. We also have a gym, a theater room, and a beauty salon. It's just that when it comes to the rent and stuff (I've been here for a few months), they are raising the rent already."

"I’m on a waiting list at Hearthside for two years and I know I’m close to the top of the list. The place is just close and walking distance to shops, walking passed restaurants. The rooms have built-in kitchen, solid countertop bar, and you have option to a 1 or 2-bedroom or even 1 or 2-baths. I like it a lot because of where it is. It’s my first choice. The staff seem very cordial and nice. The place is full and everybody seems to be happy there. It’s probably the most attractive to me and my wife. We’re handicap but we’re still able to live independently. I’m legally visually impaired and my wife has Parkinson’s, but we’re able to get around. We need each other’s help, so we need to find a place that’s really conducive for our lifestyle, where we can cook our own meals and be able to fellowship with others like us in our age group. The place has a movie theater, screened porch, garden spots and walking trails. "

"I toured Arbor Terrace Peachtree City. I met some of the administrators and residents and they were all very nice. I saw their menu and it was quite impressive as far as the choices that you have for each meal. I had a little snack in the dining room and then we toured the facility. It was a nice place. The suite that they showed me was so far away from the elevator. I saw a 1-bedroom and a 2-bedroom apartment, and it had a refrigerator and a stove. The halls were so long, and it would be hard to walk to the elevator. The staff was knowledgeable and patient, and she was helpful in providing me with the information that I needed. I was interested in the 2-bedroom apartment, which was way in the end and far away from the elevator."

"Somerby of Peachtree City was wonderful. The only reason I chose the other one is they had a one-bedroom with a den available and Somerby did not. The tour was better at Somerby. The other one was fair. The staff was very good. The rooms were very nice, but they're all very small."

"Larry Moore Manor was very nice. There are two floors. Everybody has a balcony. That's what I like about it. The complex is friendly and clean and everybody is courteous. The management is easy to talk to. They have a garden patio and they have a courtyard. It's a high-rise and I'm applying to the garden apartments with a patio."

"I toured Christian City. It's an individual apartments, duplexes, and living cottages. They're modernized as far as the fixtures are concerned. They update the carpet and everything when you move in. You select your carpet, and they provide blinds. It seemed to be real nice. You pay a portion when you move in, and it is called a life lease. They have exercises, walking trails, the whole nine yards."

"HearthSide Club Lafayette is nice but I just can't afford it. They said they go by your income but the person who assisted me said I had to be making a certain amount to qualify to get in there. It is beautiful though. You could get a 1-bedroom or a 2-bedroom, but you just have to qualify and have to have the income to do it. A lot of retirees go there too. I love the floor plan, it's very nice. In case you want to get a roommate to stay with you, the way the living conditions are set up, the roommate is on one side with her own bathroom, and then it's got another bathroom on the other side too. The staff was very efficient. The seniors who are not able to cook for themselves can get assistance. They can get assistance with doctors' appointments and all of that too. It's good, it's like a 5-star hotel. I like the layout of the rooms and I like everything about it. It's in a nice area too. It's close to everything like shopping and even restaurants. "

"I went to Providence Personal Care Home. The staff was nice, they seemed very well informed about what they offer. This wasn't a good fit for my aunt though, it's a smaller facility, and they take a maximum of five people in their home. It's nice. It's just like a traditional house, and they're renting out rooms. But it was clean. The few people that they have there, seemed well-kept, friendly, and involved in the activity that they were doing for the day."

"Loved ones moving to an assisted living facility have often been through a frightening time already, making the move more traumatic for them. My mother had lost not only the child she lived next to (allowing her to stay in her own home), but her daughter was also her best friend. Upon moving closer to me, she was moving farther away from her friends and church of 35 years. It was terribly difficult! We visited many places, but the staff at Azalea Estates made us feel as if it was indeed possible for Mom to call a new place "home". They took such care to make her feel welcome, listen to her needs, and make her feel loved. The facility is always beautifully maintained and decorated, the meals well prepared and delicious, and there are many fitness activities and fun games taking place in which the residents can participate, if they so desire. I feel like the staff is an extension of my own family and am forever grateful that my mom is there. "

"My brother went to Carrollton Club. The place is very nice, very clean, and very quiet. I think they serve them one meal a day, and then they cook for the rest of it. They have their own kitchen and everything. It's a bedroom, a living room, and a full kitchen with a stove and refrigerator. They can have a pet. It's about $200 extra for a pet, just one and not over 20 pounds. It's convenient to the VA and pretty close to the hospital. They have bus service three days a week. They take you to the grocery store and to places that you need to go inside the county. I think it's a very good place. If I had to be by myself and have a place to live, I wouldn't mind living there. It's not like your house, of course, but I would feel safe there. Everyone that we've met over there has been very friendly and very cooperative. I didn't have any contact with the staff. My husband did, and he was pleased. They were easy to work with and very helpful. They have a cleaning service, a garbage service, and a laundry room (not in their apartment, but in the building that is convenient and very reasonably priced). I think he's going to be pleased there. He has to pay his electric bill. They have a lot of open spaces, dining rooms, and things that people can gather and associate with each other. I thought it was a nice setup."

"I love this residence!! I have been here almost (3) years. The residents are friendly and the grounds are kept spotless. We are slowly recovering from Covid 19 and we need the break. Good things to follow!! Come join us........."

"We did a tour of Spring House at Lithia Springs. I like the friendliness of the staff. It was very accommodating for senior living. The facility was clean. I like the daily activities with the residents and the fact that it felt like home. They provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All through the day, they can come down and drink, or eat fruit, or whatever was already out when the kitchen was closed. I like the space; I think that's adequate space for living, for the residents. It was clean from what we saw, and it felt comfortable and safe. You've got to be mobile and do everything on your own. The staff was very accommodating, very helpful, answered all the questions. He was approachable, very nice, and knew his job. He had a background associated with dealing with elderly people. I didn't try to food, but it smelled good. They have a board out there that will tell you what's going to be for lunch and dinner. The smell was good, I saw that they serve the residents, they take a seat, and they bring out the drinks, and then they bring the food out. In the facility, there was one that we went into that I don't know if it was mold in there or not, but it was something in there in the tub, black or whatever. I guess they hadn't been in there because he did mention that before he came down. They said they were working to fill all the rooms up. So, it may have been something that they hadn't gotten around to. But, other than that, it was clean. The rooms, some of them had a balcony, and that made the room smaller. So, the ones that didn't have a balcony, the rooms were larger. Then they do have a walking trail, like if you have a dog or a pet that you want to walk. They have a courtyard in the back where they have tables and chairs out there. It's not big. They have a place with a TV, and he did say that they have functions, that they like barbecue in the summer and stuff like that. They do activities with them. They have a big room in there where they get a whole lot of games and stuff. On Wednesdays, they have a wind-down, where they allow them to have something to drink if they want or whatever. Some couples are in there as well. It was closer to my house. That's probably with no traffic, five minutes and no more than eight minutes from my house, and I liked it. The thing about it is, other people were visiting, while I'm waiting to be seen. I've been there maybe two or three times because I went there first with my sister and then I wanted to bring my daddy there. Then I went there to follow up on some things since my dad was not able to move in. Everybody that I heard come out of there will say, "Oh, I'll be back" meaning that that's where they're going to come back and live. The residents, welcome you. The room that we were looking at next to my dad's room, was like three women coming out of the other ladies' room who had just moved in there. So, they create friends and make you feel comfortable. Everybody seems like they are happy there. I even asked some of the residents, even while I was waiting. I looked around on the first floor in the courtyard, and in the little room. They got a larger room there, which is nice. I asked some residents if they finished eating breakfast, and how they like it there. The few people that I talked to, loved it there and they say yes. My feelings for the place, I always get something positive there. I don't know anybody there, not even the people who I talked to; I've never met them a day in my life. The monthly price or monthly rent, or whatever you want to call it, is more reasonable than I've seen anywhere else. He said the price was going to be going up in 2022, this year. I don't know about how much, but the price was very reasonable. You get a breakfast, lunch, dinner and entertainment. Then they take you to doctor's appointments and stuff like that if it is within a radius."

"I'm currently at Big Bethel. We're doing OK right now. For our protection, I think the staff is doing a good job in that department. They're trying to keep us safe from COVID. The staff is working hard. The place looks nice. I like the way it looks. The cleanliness and upkeep are not the best because of COVID, but it's all right. I think they need to just get a few new things in the yard area, like add more seating. Other than that, everything is OK. I'm satisfied. They don't have a kitchen. You can't get out to go to the stores, but they provide food and services for that. We used to have activities, but right now we're sort of shut down."

"We moved into LaGrange Heritage Senior Living. The curbs were too high. You couldn't get up the curbs. There was a bump into the garage. You had to step up to get into the apartment, and the bathrooms were too small for seniors. You could not get a walker and an electric chair in it. They're just not senior-made. The cabinets are too high, the bathroom vanity is too low and too small, and who would give a handicapped place a bathtub for old people? Old people can't get in a bathtub. The staff lied. I paid monthly for cable TV and was there for nine months and never got it. I asked them to repaint the walls. Somebody had touched up the wrong color paint. I asked them, but they never did it. They lied and said it would be done the following week. They lied a lot and never did anything for you that you asked them to. Three neighbors told me the same story. They had been there from the beginning and still didn't have cable TV, but they paid for it. It's a big facility, and their offices and the dining room were very clean."
