"My friend moved into Brookdale Newnan. The residents have been extremely friendly. Everyone who passed him had stopped, asked his name, welcomed him, and invited him to sit with them at meals. We've had a little bit of a struggle getting everything in his little apartment situated. It took several days to figure out how to hook up the TV. He still does not have a microwave in his kitchen, which is part of what's supposed to be provided. The water was extremely hot. It made him very nervous, and they had a plumber there within a day or two to make sure that was turned down at the water heater. The sales manager and the facility manager have checked in on us. I can go to them anytime with questions or concerns. His room is a fairly good size. Even the relatives who helped him with the move said this is a little bigger than they had pictured. They were thinking of a studio, and it's a living room with a corner for the dining area, a full kitchen, a bedroom with a walk-in closet, a nice bathroom, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer. The tables are set up for four to six people. I've noticed, and he showed me that when you sit down to eat, you've got two options for everything, either something beef or something chicken. And he's not supposed to eat a lot of red meat, so that works well for him. He has slept through breakfast several times because he is comfortable. He's been very satisfied with the meals and the options. And sometimes on the phone, I hear about everything they served all day. The landscaping is beautiful. He has a little concrete patio. Some of the residents have dogs that they keep in their apartments, and they walk their dogs. The staff is helpful. I have not seen the housekeeper, but she has dropped in on my friend a couple of times and told him what she plans to do and what he needs to do about the trash. He's been impressed. So, somebody comes in to do light cleaning once a week. I've seen people working puzzles and playing cards, but I've not been around any planned activity."

"We have chosen The Reserve at Peachtree City. I have been there several times actually. It is for assisted living and memory care because I have one parent for each. They were wonderful. The staff was excellent. I had no problems whatsoever with anything that they explained to us. My parents haven't moved there yet, but the rooms were more than adequate. For their age and living level, they were more than adequate. The living atmosphere was terrific there. The community layout was excellent. I was very impressed with the place. I have not eaten there, but I have been there twice during meal times. The food looked better than most of those residents were getting at home. It looked home cooked. I was there for lunch yesterday, and the dining room was packed. Everyone seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. The dining area was open, airy, bright, and cheerful, even on the dreary day. In fact, that's one of the things I liked about that entire facility. It was a very open facility, very airy, and light. It did not feel boxed in or closed at all, which I really liked specifically because my parents are coming from Florida. I did tour the memory care, and it was more than adequate for my mother. My father is stone deaf. He is not going to be participating in anything that requires any hearing whatsoever. As far as like bingo and things like that, he's not going to be participating in that. There were plenty of great amenities. They had a salon. They had a library. They had puzzles and movies. They had plenty to offer."

"K & W Care Homes was a very nice facility. The owners were healthcare professionals, so you could tell that they care. The residents expressed how much they appreciate staying there and that the level of care that they received was very good. They had rooms that were shared and then they had private rooms, and they were all very clean. And then they had areas for social gatherings. They also had a beautiful deck so that their residents could sit outside. The staff that we met during the tour was very informative."

"It was built back in the eighties and it's been in our county since we moved over here, so it's well established, right behind the major shopping areas. It's convenient to church. It has kind of an eighties look, townhouses, the main building, kind of those homes with fields and the grounds. It's real homey. I got a small apartment because it's just me. It's 600 square feet, but well designed, and all the spaces used well. It's real good for wheelchairs and walkers. The doors are wide enough. It's probably time to get more upgrades, but it's absolutely fine with us because we eat over at the main building anyway, so I don't do a lot of cooking or anything. The dining area is real nice. They take real good care of us and the food is good. It's not filet mignon, but it's all healthy, and it's all what we need. It's nutritious food and there's not a lot of sweets to make us not feel good. They try to take good care of us, and we get all our food groups for sure. It's always warm. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. It's a real happy place. Every day, you get to do bingo, you can do art, and you got different choices of different things you can do. You can go out to church, but you can have church there, too. We have book studies. We do yoga and exercise. The facility really works well for us all."

"My mother has been at the Steward House since Thanksgiving this year. She and our family have been extremely pleased with her accommodations and lifestyle. She is 94 and doesn't participate in many of the activities other than the church services. Her room is beautiful and always clean. Her bathroom has all of the facilities necessary for an elderly person. Plus, she as a private patio off of her room. The staff have been incredible - not only to my mother but also to our family - wanting to learn our names and talk about her needs. She is well seen about by the staff and enjoys the facility itself - it's an old home and has a lovely dining room, social area, outdoor porches and gardens. "
