"My mother has been at the Steward House since Thanksgiving this year. She and our family have been extremely pleased with her accommodations and lifestyle. She is 94 and doesn't participate in many of the activities other than the church services. Her room is beautiful and always clean. Her bathroom has all of the facilities necessary for an elderly person. Plus, she as a private patio off of her room. The staff have been incredible - not only to my mother but also to our family - wanting to learn our names and talk about her needs. She is well seen about by the staff and enjoys the facility itself - it's an old home and has a lovely dining room, social area, outdoor porches and gardens. "

"I'm positive to this. I love the way they had gaming tables, tv's and comfortable seats. Mostly I got fascinated by the whirlpool, and of course the spa. It's like everything is in one place, a little city of things. A dining room and even in a restaurant style way. Really lovely place to visit and very good "support" with 24/7 effort. "

"We went for an interview at Angels PCH LLC and the young lady was great. She works with us no matter what problem we have. She was very nice. The place is really clean and smells good. I got to visit all the people that were staying there, and they were very pleased. I was there to visit the people who stayed there. It was great. We've got to be volunteers to play bingo games with them, me and my wife because we're in our 70s and they invited us back. They told us to come back anytime we want. They've got games and everything. They had a courtyard."

"My mother moved in. We're very pleased with the location and staff. We feel like they provide a very home-type environment for their residents. They have quite a few different activities and other things that they involve with it. The staff was informative. The environment is very friendly and warm. We just have a good experience right now. Their meal planning seems to be very nutritious and enjoyable. It's very well done, very colorful, and healthy at the same time. They seemed to be very involved with the patient. In an effort to bring them into their environment and residency so that they would feel comfortable. I can tell that they tried to treat them individually and not as a group, so that was very important to us. The building itself is very nice. They had different living situations, and we chose the private. They do have two common areas. They are separated by the memory care and assisted living unit because they try to provide what each one of those categories of lifestyle would include."

"I visited this community and it was very clean and decorated. I visited during meal service and was ablt to meet the Director of Dining, Chef Beverly. She was very considerate and knowledgeable in explaining the various diets they offer and how their meal program works. I had a sample plae and it was enjoyable. The staff was super friendly and everyone was so positive."

"Laties Personal Care was decent, but it had shared bathrooms, and we want to have a private bathroom. The price was comparable to others. "

"I liked The Carriages of Mt. Zion. I liked the people. I liked the room. The room was beautiful. The dining area was spacious. The tables were set apart. There was a lot of parking for people who lived there, and they had spaces for people who were visiting. The staff was cordial. She took me one-on-one and took me to every room. She even showed me rooms that were occupied that were willing to introduce themselves. She took me to the outside area and their breakroom. She was very personable. The facility was large, beautiful, and everything looked brand new."

"My mother-in-law is a resident of Governor's Glen Assisted Living. It's close to us, she likes it over there, and the people always act really nice. They're nice to her and nice to us. The rooms are good, the food is good, and she apparently likes it. The staff members I have dealt with go out of their way to be nice to you. They have a TV for them to watch, they have somebody come in and sing, and they have church services. The atmosphere is really good, it's clean, and it doesn't smell bad."

"I toured Grace Senior Living last week. The facility is gorgeous, and all the staff were extremely nice. The one thing I do not like is that it's not a flat rate charge. It's not just, okay, you move into a room, and it's $6,000 a month, and they take care of everything. You have to pay extra for medication and for level one, two, or three care. I don't care for that at all. The staff was great, very informative, and very nice. The facility is beautiful, and it's great."

"Summerset Assisted Living was a very nice place. The way they made the facility look is like everything is antique. The items that are in it are not modern, but when I say antique it's not run down either. It's a real nice, antique-looking place. I found out that it is actually Black-owned, and they are the only Black-owned assisted living facility in the nation. This is also a gated community. We did not go look at the rooms because they said that they will not be able to assist us as Mom is not mobile, but they were the ones who geared us in the right direction and told us, "Look, this is what you need to look for. This is what you need to ask for." Even after they found out information about my mom, they weren't like, "Get out." They were like, "Hold on. Let's discuss. This is what you need to look for. These are some places that you can call." They knew of other places for me to call, and even had business cards."

"Our Dad is in the Assisted living side and all the nurses are nice and attentive to him. His apartment is bright and airy. The staff is professional and personable."

"My Mother-in-Law is in this facility. I visited there before making this decision and she has been there for over 2 months know. It is a very nice, clean facility. The owners and staff are very caring/concerned about the residents and they take very good care of them. The facility is smaller in numbers than others & they always have plenty of staff. They do an excellent job! "

"We are choosing the Front Porch of Bowdon Senior Living for my mom. I visited the community yesterday, and they're updating it. I do like it because it was an old hospital, and while some rooms are being updated, a few are still a little out of date. Overall, I love the care team and the atmosphere. It was very good. The staff was very caring, answered any questions we had, and went above and beyond to answer questions. It was very clean."

"My wife went over to Monarch House for a short term; it was just 30 days. I would give it an A+. It's a small enough place. They have a lot of activities. They had pretty good staffing, and they provided all the services that we needed. It's better than a lot of other facilities I've looked at. They had lots of fresh flowers. They were decorated very nicely. It wasn't overly crowded. They maintained it well. Everybody seemed to work really hard to keep everything looking good and to make sure everybody had good care. There were exercise activities. There were 4-5 activities a day that my wife attended for a while. The value for money was excellent. I couldn't ask for more. It's worth at least looking into it and comparing it with other places in the area."
