"Grandma is really well taken care of here. She has a big room with lots of area for her sitting area and bed and two closets. She has a big shower where she does not have to step over to get washed and it has a seat for her to use. It is wheelchair sized so she will be fine if she needs one. There are grab bars everywhere even in the halls, so if she won't use her walker, she still has something to hang onto. I know we have not been able to get her to consistently use her walker, but the staff tries really hard and makes sure she's offered her walker just like we have done. The staff is incredible and takes such good care of her. She was on hospice but graduated because she received such good care here and ate so well that she started gaining weight finally. The staff makes meals that are easy for her to eat and is pretty much already cut into pieces small enough for her to eat. She was eating only from Hardees before which was a horrible diet. Here she eats a wide variety of her old favorites and actually eats her salad which she never did before. They even give them dessert! They also allow them to keep their plates as long as they are working on eating. I'm really impressed at how well she regained weight since she was not eating when she lived by herself. I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have her taken care of loving people 24/7. They will call if they need me in an emergency, and they understand what an emergency is. I don't have to fret. My peace of mind is worth every penny we pay for such great care!"

"Governor's Glen didn't have quite as homey a feeling, but it was very nice. I was very impressed with the staff who takes you around and made me feel like I would have some kind of confidence that my mother was going to get what they're saying they are going to give her. They seemed to have quite a bit going, like taking them outdoors. They have their activities posted; they seem to have activities every day, and they check on them regularly during the day. They don't just leave them. They were very good. "

"I toured the Monarch Villa at Stockbridge. It's assisted living, and the director was very friendly to me and the residents. They seem to love her. They saw her and followed her. They were excited to see her and wanted to talk to her. It was really all of them. She knew and greeted them so warmly, and I just had a loving feel about her. She seemed used to it but she tried to redirect them so we could go on. She did it in a real loving way too. The residents have lots of different locations where they could do different things. Their level of activity was very good. They interacted with each other. The place was clean and inviting. It also had a luxury home feel. It was large and spacious. They had an activity center and locations where the residents could go either to watch TV or do activities. They had a place where they did art. The place was very calming too."

"Oaks at Eagles Landing was great. The service that my husband received was good. They had a lot of activities that he was in that he enjoyed. The building was beautiful. The people were great. His room was very nice. He had a single room with a TV. The bathroom was accessible to his ability. When I picked him up and dropped him off, it was around lunchtime, so the residents were at lunch. I didn't eat anything there. When I was there, what they had to eat looked very good. Everybody seemed like they were enjoying themselves. Everybody was in good mood. I liked it. The atmosphere was very nice. The surrounding was very nice. Everything was going smoothly and the residents looked really happy. When I picked him up, he was very happy. It wasn't like he was ready to go. It was a little pricy, but for the care he got, I thought it was good. I appreciate the service that my husband received while he was there."

"My Mom (90 years old) moved in almost 2 years ago and it was the right call for us. This facility is warm and has a cozy feel to it as soon as you walk in. It is not one of the larger facilities that are being built now, however, that is what our family likes about it, more intimate. The staff is very open to conversations regarding my mom's care needs which is comforting since her needs have changed over the last 2 years. She has had many falls and knowing that she can push her safety button around her neck and get help has given me peace of mind which I did not have when she lived alone in her home. Fortunately, I can visit quite often at different times of day and it is always clean and personnel are always available if we need anything. Honestly, my mom can get a little grumpy with the staff at times because she is frustrated she can't do what she used to be able to do on her own, but they understand their resident's feelings and don't take it personally which is appreciated. It is very stressful watching your mom age, and you feel helpless in making her adjust to new limitations, but having the staff care about her overall wellness is honestly a blessing."

"K & W Care Homes was a very nice facility. The owners were healthcare professionals, so you could tell that they care. The residents expressed how much they appreciate staying there and that the level of care that they received was very good. They had rooms that were shared and then they had private rooms, and they were all very clean. And then they had areas for social gatherings. They also had a beautiful deck so that their residents could sit outside. The staff that we met during the tour was very informative."

"This is a very professional, clean and traditional center. The atmosphere was nice. The employees were helpful. The have large walk ways, gardens fishing ponds and much more. There are many activities i noticed many of the seniors being active, whether they were just reading, talking, or playing bingo. "

"The Oaks at Douglasville is a beautiful place. The rooms had good space. I was given information about the level of care that would be included. The person who interviewed me was very good at providing the kind of information that would be helpful in making a decision. The activity level and things that they do are great. The person I spoke with was clear in terms of what they did and the service that was being provided. I think it was a very good place. I was happy to see that even though they have a menu for a particular meal on a particular day or time, the residents have alternatives. If there's something that they didn't like, they had the option of a nice broad amount of food that they could get."

"I toured Harmony at Douglasville. It was clean and there were lots of activities. The cook was friendly. They showed me all the facilities that they had. The cook gave us some descriptions of some of his meals. They had a library, physical therapy rooms, and all activities rooms. The room was spacious. It's just a beautiful place. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. The sales director was wonderfully friendly."

"My mom moved into Allegiance Personal Care Memory Care. The owner is very attentive. She keeps us updated constantly. I feel that my mom is very safe and well cared for. The owner is absolutely wonderful. The staff members are caring and attentive. They have just gotten to know my mom so well, and I really appreciate their attention to her and keeping her safe. They are just doing a great job. They have very simple food, but I think it's appropriate for their age. The owner helped me get some supplements for my mom, and that has worked out really well. It is an older home, but it is perfectly clean. They had music therapy last week, where someone came in and did music with them. They have story time. They have activities."

"One bedroom is the perfect size and spotless and updated. There is a good variety of meal options and food is good quality. Staff is amazing. From patiently helping through the decision process to helping coordinate movein. Caregivers are excellent!"

"Arbor Terrace Peachtree City was very pretty, very upscale, very friendly, and just a nice place. The amenities and the food were very good. I didn't see a chapel, but they do have religious services. Their pool is outside, but it's heated. It's not an aging place."

"Somerby of Peachtree City was very good. For the duration of my husband's 14 day respite there, he will have an opportunity to eat meals with other people. He will be able to select from a menu, and he will have activities to participate in while he's there. He's looking forward to this. The woman that assisted us was very good. She helped us to outline what the process would be and what was required. That was important. It's clean. It looked very nice, and the people seemed happy. Everybody was wonderful. I have seen four other facilities, and I'd have to say that they're the best that we saw. They have a garden, art classes, and evening entertainment."
