"I visited The Chateau II (Carlton Senior Living Pleasant Hill) where I’m considering putting my mom. I liked this one a lot and was really impressed with it. I liked the fact that they have 24-hour dining service with breakfast, lunch, and dinner and a menu you can order from any other time that you want to eat. They have a lot of clipboards set up for different activities that people can sign up for. I liked the whole atmosphere. It is a smaller assisted living, so I thought it would be easier for my mom to be able to get herself around in there in her wheelchair. Everything was good. The apartments were very nice. I definitely would recommend it. I liked the location, the area, and the little community back there. There is a creek behind it and lots of trees. It was a really nice setting back there. "

"I'm moving into The Heritage Downtown. I love the facility. It's located in a residential community and has been there for a long time. The apartments are very nice. There are large trees and a beautiful garden. They have a pool, a library, and a gym. They have trainers. They have water aerobics. They have everything as well as three meals a day if you choose. The menu is a little limited."

"My aunt moved into Byron Park and is having the best time! Every time we visit she's busy with her new friends, enjoying happy hours, live music and all the fun and interesting programs. She loves sitting in the garden and swimming in the pool. We love joining her for meals and activities and our kids and dog get so much love and attention from the staff. They treat her and our family so well and we always feel welcome when we visit. We can't recommend Byron Park enough!"

"My sister needed to come out to west coast to be near family as she was getting up in age. I was told of Cogir Vallejo Hills by a longtime friend whose mother lived there . My sister has been here a while and loves it. The residents are so friendly and we often say most could teach young people about their great outlook on life. The staff are highly motivated and seem to enjoy their jobs."

"Cortona Park was very nice that's why we're going to pick it. It had 2-bedrooms, which I like, so it won't be so crowded. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and the presentation of the food was nice. They have card games going on and they have people swimming in a swimming pool. I looked on a chart where you could sign up to go to the casinos, they go to a different casino once a month and I love that. They also show movies, they have a movie theater. One of the bedrooms is small but I can get my king-sized bed in the other one, so that was great."

"My friend lived at Belmont Village Albany assisted living for three years before moving to their memory care area for the past year. For a long time she took advantage of all the activities on the independent side, but slowly her memory grew worse and her anxiety became inconsolable. She would call me and other friends multiple times per day in a panic and forget she had called. She became resistant to care and paranoid that people were playing tricks on her. It became clear that she was not thriving in her social group and needed more than assistance with showers and housekeeping. Her son agreed to move her to memory care and almost immediately she began to relax. There she has been able to participate in activities again and the staff is very patient. Her mood improved unbelievably and it was a big relief to me to see her smiling and laughing again. Her dementia is still progressing but she is so well adjusted in her routine. I don't know how they got her to do it but I am very grateful. "

"We toured. I like the whole feel of the place. There are a lot of common areas. It has all the services and amenities that my mother-in-law needs. It's beautiful ground. It has some grassy areas. The staff is very friendly. The tour guide, which is the sales director, has been very personable and friendly, telling us what it is. She just tells me like it is. We needed onsite medical. They have doctors and nurses on site that can first evaluate, look, and maybe even treat if it is not a major problem, so we like that. If an emergency comes, there's someone there to come and evaluate, so that's a very good thing. They also contract with people to do rehab, so there are physical therapists and occupational therapists on site. They have a hair salon there so I don't have to bring my mother-in-law to go out and get a haircut, just make an appointment. Of course, with these things, you have to pay extra fees, but the facility accommodates all these things. The place has a library, a billiards room, and a movie theater. And it's a gated community, so not like everybody can just walk in, you have to go through a gate with a code."

"The rooms were of really nice size at Marymount Villa. It gave you an opportunity to be away from home, but mom was able to bring some of her items and felt like she was at home. The staff was very nice and I like that they have 24/hour staff. Everybody there is very friendly. The facility is very clean. They offer activities. They have a calendar where they do certain things, but I can't remember the specifics. I really feel that it is a great facility. It also was the most affordable one. "

"It is lovely. They have great amenities, and they have a good program for the residents with many things to do. It's beautiful. The staff was very friendly. Everyone I've met there so far was very friendly, even as I observed other guests interacting with staff. They have different levels of care. The studio was small, but it's quite adequate. It has a mini kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator. It has its own private bathroom, and it's really lovely. They have a variety of rooms. They have one-bedroom units and places for couples. They have weekly activities, a game room, a movie room, a sauna, an exercise room, a pool, and a beautiful inner courtyard. They do weekly outings, and they will take you to your doctor. Everyone eats in the dining room and it's lovely. They seem to have something going on all the time. They put them on a bus and take them around. They play bingo and other things. They have a chef and it's restaurant-style dining."

"Waters Edge Lodge was clean and nice. The staff was very helpful. The residents could watch TV in the living room. They had a piano and different activities. They took them out to the movie theater. The food was good. "

"We toured Landmark Villa, looking for assisted living for my mother, and we liked it. It was a great location and one that met our needs. The people were also very friendly. We liked the community, and my mother liked the older aesthetic of the place, so that's good for her. We also like the friendliness of the staff and how attentive they are to her and her needs."
