The rooms at Atria Valley View are homey and comfortable, with up-to-date features. Of course, storage space is minimal, but that is something one would expect when downsizing and moving to a multi-unit facility. The food here is way better than I imagined I would get in this the of living. It is delicious, cooked with health concerns but still tasty. For example, meals are delicious without loads of fats and carbohydrates, and servings are decent size. There is enough flexibility for changes of main menu offerings and a separate menu available for substitute preferences. the dining room staff is friendly, helpful and gracious at all times. The dining room is comfortable and conducive to good conversation. IF sometimes noisy it is because of resident hearing problems . I am happy to report that all of the rest of Atria's staff is uniformly courteous, friendly and smiles when greeting or being asked questions. The facility is in a comfortable location, with trees, good paths and outdoor areas for relaxing gentle walking, and interactions with others in well-equipped patios for sitting, meeting and resting. The only wish I would wish for is a larger space for arts and crafts, since in most of our rooms it is hard to find a space to work on projects. The last thing I would praise is the availability of many social, educational, and other kinds of programs designed to help us at this stage of life. We can access discussion groups, classes, media events such as those in the movie theater, and lots of special events around birthdays, holidays and other occasions to bring us joy and companionship. Our helpful bus driver is terrific! I would recommend this Atria to friends and strangers, mainly for its gentle, friendly treatment of all residents.

My father will be moving into Atria Valley View. We chose it because it was the most open and they were the most active with the residents. They were friendly. The residents were in the living room, socializing and talking. It's a beautiful facility. The sales director, Erin, was very patient, very accommodating, and very kind. The place was not too big. It was a good location. It just was the right fit. The studio is quite small at 300 square feet. Dad will be living in the deluxe studio, which is all set up to accommodate his needs. It's just the right size, nice, and updated. It has a small refrigerator, a little desk, a microwave in the kitchen, built-in dresser drawers, a closet, and a balcony outside. There's a one-bedroom, which is significantly more expensive. They have a movie room where they show movies every night. They have a beautiful living room. They have a grand piano in there and a fireplace and that's right next to the dining room, so everyone congregates there. The dining room is light, bright, and big. They have a walking trail around the facility. They have benches inside and outside. They have a van and a driver on a regular schedule and you can sign up for your own appointments. They have field trips, bingo, poker, arts and crafts, and knitting. They have a whole host of amenities. The chef came out and talked to us.

We went to Atria Valley View. It didn't have the warmth that I was looking for. They were having a residence meeting with the staff of the facility. And what I was very much aware of was residents were participating, and they were talking about issues they were concerned about, and they were vocal. We met the head chef who was going to be going in as well. We saw one apartment that had been vacated but had not been renovated yet. He also showed us a studio apartment, which was different from the others, and was very spacious. They also had a very large deck on it, and they looked out over the hills and open area, which was quite appealing. They were mostly studio apartments, and very few one-bedrooms, which is what I'm looking for. They had a library. They also had a lovely room that was available for a family gathering or a private party if you wanted. It was well-appointed. There were places to go and sit outside that I liked a lot. There was a lot of room for people, and it seemed as far as being able to park a car, which I have, there wasn't much availability. So that was a downside for me.

I went to Atria Valley View. The people who greeted us were very welcoming, the community itself and the amenities are ample, and the location is great. In my case, I didn't need assistance yet so if I move there and I'd need assistance, then they'd add more to the cost. I noticed that many of the residents that I saw are already in wheelchairs more than walkers, while we're still very mobile here where I am. I haven't tried the food but I looked at the menu and it looks good. For the price, the studio in my current community is so much larger than the 1-bedroom at Atria Valley View. In terms of location, you'd have to drive to your destination where you want to be, shopping-wise. But food-wise, there's the Safeway and a gas station, but that's all you could walk to. They have an exercise room, they have almost the same activities that we have where I am, like bingo, happy hour, exercises, trips, and transportation.

We are going to move my mom into Atria Valley View. The size of the facility, and the location are the factors why I chose it. It's also flat as a pancake. They have very nice staff. Just the whole thing is well laid out. She was very excited when she was there. From what I understand, a lot of people can be kicking and screaming on their way into one until they get there, but she was ready and she was very excited. The staff introduced themselves to her. Everybody made her feel at home, so it's a real positive situation; it is good. She feels like she's still in the neighborhood in a lot of ways. There's a strip mall close by that she could actually go to on her own, without even having to cross the street or anything; that is nice. The whole place gives a really good feel. I'm 66 years old. I can't right now because I'm still working, but I would live there. That place is nice. We had one experience with the food, and I thought it was excellent. We saw the menu, and we had a person that actually waited on us. The chef came in to follow up and see what my mom thought. My mom used to be quite a cook, and she said we'd really enjoy it. She likes that a lot. It made her feel very comfortable. They have a very nice movie theater. They have a bistro. They have a beauty salon with outside stylists that you can pick. They have a massage studio with outside masseuses that you can pick, and they have an athletic room or a gym. The grounds are beautiful, and they have really good activities. My mom has been held back because of COVID. It really slowed her down, and I think she's going to thrive with them.

I toured Atria Valley View. They showed me the apartments from the outside of the building. They had some ground floor apartments that we were able to actually enter. But to actually say that I saw the facility itself, no, I could not go inside. I guess they have one COVID patient that's under isolation; apparently they are not allowing visitors on the inside. They were fabulous, the woman I spoke with, Lana, was extremely helpful. She called me back even the following day just to make sure I didn't have additional questions, which I did, so she was very informative and very upfront about what she had to share. I was a little bit surprised about the cost. I had thought it might be a little bit less, but I may have underestimated the average cost for the area. The facility itself is wonderful. The interaction both with the staff to the residents that were there that I saw, whether outside or in their lobby, was very personable and very cheerful. So that was really really nice. The facility was very clean, it looked as ideal as what I would like. It's just a little bit far from where I live, and they would not provide transportation for the church that I'm really thinking that my dad wants to go to.

We went Atria Valley View. I didn't think the meal service was good, they weren't that friendly at lunch, we had lunch there, and the waitress wasn't that friendly. The person who gave the tour did quite well. I think the rooms were studios, there was a simple studio, and they had a studio deluxe. The plain studio wasn't large at all, in the deluxe studio, the bed was set back in, and you had to go around the partition to go to the bathroom. One man was playing the piano.

The apartment at Atria Valley View was really nice. The studio was lovely, but my dad was more interested in a one-bedroom. The staff was wonderful. The dining area was lovely. The fresh baked cookie I got was delicious.

My mother is a resident of Atria Valley View. The cost for what you get is not a great value. They've had some management changes and the treatment and food has deteriorated over the last year, so that's part of why we are moving. They have less staff now, and a lot of the staff members that I thought were really great are gone. The new person is in charge of three communities instead of one. They're cutting cost but also significantly raised the rate. The facilities are great, and it's a beautiful place.

Atria Valley View was well-kept and had a good layout. They offered a lot of things. They had nice outdoor sitting areas. They also had outdoor activities very similar to the other place we visited. We didn't eat anything there, but it looked like the dining room was very nice and the options for food were very good.

Atria Valley View was great, and we liked everything about it. It was wonderful, clean, well-run, and lovely, the rooms were nice, and we looked at the menus and the food seemed to be nice. The person who interviewed us was excellent. They have a big menu, big dining room, and a bistro, and it just seemed perfect. They had tours, shopping, movies, and outings. We could tell that it would be a very nice place.

The experience at Atria Valley View was very nice. Residents were a little bit younger and more active than at the other location I visited. They seemed to be active and busy even though I was only there for a little while. Overall, it was a very nice place. The apartments were very nice, too.

There was one floor plan that I saw in the Atria Valley View in the price range that was not the most expensive but not the cheapest either. The one that they had available was a long room with a bedroom and a sofa at the bottom of the bed looking toward the television, which I thought looked very poor. The facilities were nice, the food appeared to be good from what I tasted, but I thought the price was really not comparable to another one that I saw, which was significantly less money by $500 or $800 less per month. To me, that is significant if the place is very similar. It’s too bad because they have very nice facilities, but I think they're a little unreasonable with the asking price.

Atria Valley View would probably be number 2 on our list of what we had seen. It was a very nice facility, but they just didn’t have anything that particularly appealed to us. They did have one two-bedroom-two-bath unit, but Atria Valley View was a very large building, and the apartment was as far away from the dining room as you could possibly get. My wife has some difficulty in getting around, so it wasn’t ideal for us. The facility was certainly very satisfactory, but not ideal for us. The staff was very cooperative. They took us on a nice tour. Our impression of the facility was very good. The apartment that we saw was vacant, it had just been cleaned, and it was very, very nice. The staff did answer all our questions, but the only reservation I had was that they were putting kind of a hard sell on us. From our conversation, I don’t care much for that kind of pressure. They were nice about it, they were urging us to go into another room and discuss whether we want to take it or not, but we weren’t at that point, and I couldn’t convince them of that.

Atria is very appropriate for the medically fit, able-bodied person who wants to enjoy retirement yet is fairly autonomous. They encourage elder care outside agencies to help augment their staffing at a high dollar fee. The food is standard, expected fare, but it has nutritional value -- certainly not something that I would personally want to eat. There were lots of activities available. I know there was sewing and crafts, and they had a neat movie room. Some people got together and played poker. They had a bus that would drive nice trips to the wine country or Napa, so there was a very robust activity schedule if they were willing to and wanting to engage in those. It was a bright, well laid out, clean, resort-like setting. It was a larger campus that had a good-sized dining hall and a fair amount of informal sitting options for people to hang out and people watch. For him, it wasn’t a good fit, but it’s a nice facility for those that aren’t on a walker, who are not early onset Alzheimer's, and who wasn’t incontinent like my dad.

Atria was VERY nice. It had a lot of extras that you don't usually see in facilities. Architecturally, it was very well done, and there were private areas you could sit in. I looked at a one-bedroom apartment. It was spacious and had a balcony. There was a room on the ground floor that had a patio; I thought it was very nice. They had two cafes. You could get meals anytime you wanted, which I think is a plus. You won't get tired of the same meals. But, it's extremely expensive.

I visited Atria Valley View. The rooms were too small, but it was absolutely gorgeous. I would live there myself if I could afford it. The environment was fantastic. The staff was also fantastic. They were knowledgeable and friendly. The dining area was fabulous. I had nothing but good to say about that facility.

Atria Valley View would be our first choice because of the activities, the amenities, the staff, and the very nice layout of the place. All the staff seemed to be very accommodating and kind in the interations that I saw. They have several different programs that are very nice for the residents. There was a bistro that's available most of the day, where they can get sandwiches or snacks in between meals. The rooms were the nicest I've seen. They were large and nicely decorated with good amenities.

Atria Valley View is a lovely facility! My husband and I both loved the feel of the place--elegant but warm. One of the things we were looking for was a place with residents who seemed alert, and Atria Valley View fit that bill. It was a little out of our price range, but if it had not been we would definitely have considered it as a place for my husband's mom.

Great assisted living facility in Walnut Creek, California. They just remodeled the facility and it has a true luxury look and feel to it. The common areas are top notch. The staff seems to be friendly and attentive. They have a long list of activities for residents, and we have visited the place several times when they had little concerts of local music students. They have a restaurant/ cafe as part of the facility, so residents are not tied to meal schedules if they don't want to. Best senior living facility I have visited in a long time.

I've had a number of residents there. Most are ambulatory. This is an independent and assisted living facility. The residents do have to know how to navigate from their apartments to the dining room. All my clients have been well cared for. An LVN (licensed vocational nurse) oversees the care for those in the assisted living area. Overall, it's best suited to residents who are independent or need a little assistance. It's not as good a match for someone who's very frail or demented It's in an excellent location"”near a shopping center and a medical center, on Rossmoor Parkway, about 5 minutes from downtown Walnut Creek. And they offer transportation to residents. The rooms are very nice size"”good light, comfortable"”and the building itself is older, with lots of trees around. The staff is good"”they do a good job managing medications. And the management is very good, very hands on. There's a daily exercise class, a poetry class, music, cards, a lot of activities. And the food is good.
